Any new spark on the block makes our audiences excited initially. The air in Film Nagar is waving toward this beautiful young girl who scorched audience in a single sleeve top, loose hair and with magical voice. Tollywood is going excited over one Ranina Reddy who has rocked the stage of 'Julayi' audio launch by singing a peppy number. She is well known in film circuits for singing lilting melodies in the song 'Oola Olalaa' from 'Orange' and in movies like Saarai Veeraju, Veera, U & I and Saroja. Her rawness in voice and sensuality in dressing is making Tollywood go head over heels for this beauty. Ranina is a Telugu girl settled in Bangalore and is now planning to take TFI by a storm for the kind of opportunities she is getting. Earlier we have seen singers like Smitha and Mamta Mohandas turning into actresses, but only with meagre success. Let us see what is there in the store for Ranina!
Their intimacy was such that undoubtedly one could say that something was really cooking between them.
They were supposed to perform together at IIFA in Singapore for a song in this movie to promote their ‘Teri Meri Kahani’. The right platform to show case the industry and the audience about the movie which is about to release. They have practiced well priorly to perform on the grand event and guess what, the lady arrives late and even threw tantrums on people around.
As a gift to her tantrums and late arrival their performance was cancelled.
Was it stunt to disappoint Shahid wantedly? Or the star image is hitting the head hard?
Whatever it may be, Shahid and Priyanka never fail to make it to the top news.
Well, nothing is unfair in Love and War.
YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy expressed his displeasure before the CBI Court over the way he was being shifted from Chanchalguda Jail to CBI Court this morning. Jaganmohan Reddy said he’s an MP and the police insulted him by treating him like a normal prisoner and shifting him in an ordinary escort vehicle.
Jaganmohan Reddy has told the court in writing that he would be staging a hunger protest in jail if the same behavior of the police continues. The court, therefore, gave orders to allot special vehicle to Jagan. He was shifted in a bullet proof vehicle. Also, the CBI Court directed the jail authorities to answer before June 14 as to why Jaganmohan Reddy was shifted by a bus.
Before Jagan was shifted to Chanchalguda Jail, he was permitted to speak to his wife Bharathi for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the CBI filed a special petition before the Court seeking narco analysis test on Jaganmohan Reddy. The court has deferred the hearing of the petition.
In this regard, media has asked Sruthi if the responsibility on her after the success of 'Gabbar Singh' has increased or not... responding to the same, Sruthi said, ‘I don’t believe in success changing the working style or viewing the things from the different end… right from my debut film till date, I have always been responsible towards my Job and I am into films because I love this profession… just because I am successful today, that does not mean there is a huge change in my career… I am the same, and here after would accept the roles that help me elevate as an actress just as I have been doing right from my debut film ‘luck’, said the actress…
However, this year seems to be more than lucky for this heroine… after all she is the part of one of the block buster films this year and bagged an opportunity to act opposite none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan…
Otherwise, Trisha is only known to do glamorous roles or girl next door roles again filled with glamour in her films all these years… she was never okay with acting in heroine oriented or off beat films… even now, the actress seems to have no interest on award winning films… only commercial flicks are an option for this actress….
Even luck seems to be favoring Trisha…. Even after all these years of her debut as an actress, she ended up pairing with young actor N.T.R. in ‘Dammu’…
"The TRS cannot ensure Telangana state formation as it has only two MPs. The BJP has sufficient members in Parliament to realize the dream of the people of the region," she said. Probably hurt by the leader's campaign the TRS vented its ire on the leader indirectly say sources. He also asked the BJP leader who was the Opposition leader in the Parliament that when the whole world was voicing its opinion over Jagan's corruption, why she was silent over the issue. He added that the BJP was supporting the YSR Congress and wanted Jagn to win the Parakala seat. The TRS leader also said that all parties must join hands across boundry lines to work for Telangana formation.
The trend followed by glam gals is to show as much flesh as possible at public events when offers are not coming their way. Two such ageing heroines are doing the same thing now by getting dirty. Hot sirens Bipasha Basu and Shriya Saran are in the same phase now. With age reaching early thirties, the once celebrated sex-bombs are struggling to make a mark now. Off late, both the hotties are showing excessive skin shows in public. The other day both got dirty with scantily clad sarees to show their wilder side for public at IIFA awards. While Shriya showed plenty of her waist and back, by tucking her saree three inches below waist, Bips gave a stunning show by wearing a padded-bra as a blouse. Critics are saying that the heat generated by these two babes will bag them item-songs but not lead-girl roles. Rather sitting idle at functions by showing cleavages, it is better to sizzle on-screen even for item-numbers!
Not only Bollywood and Tamil cinema, Telugu films are also going beyond borders to show some rawness in the content. But this is taking shocking turns with Small-Films. We are seeing big heroes like Mahesh and Pawan doing a peck on the lips of their heroines in an aesthetic way. But our so called small movies are taking different turn about this. They simply want their young actors to chew eachother's lips before the camera. You can take any small-budgeted movie released in the last one year to observe this. In fact, all the hero and heroines of these films are youngsters who wandered on roads with the slogan 'okka chance'. Our so called intelligent makers are simply cashing on their weakness by actually roping in unwanted lip kisses, says a critic. While some girls and boys are staying away from that, some have no other chance than to accept it. We can say that our makers are outputting dumb movies because of their unwanted interests for these kisses.
FTMovie : ENDUKANTE PREMANTA Rating: 2.5/5 Cast : Ram, Tamanna, Rishi, Kona Venkat, Sayaji Shinde, Anu Haasan, Brahmanandam, Suman and others
Directed by : Karunakaran
Produced by : Sravanthi Ravi Kisho Banner : Sri Sravanthi Movies
Music : GV Prakash Kumar
Release Date : 2012-06-08
Ram, who has struck gold with his previous outing Kandireega, is now back with a romantic entertainer Endukante Premanta. Tamanna, who is riding high on the success of Racha played a non-masala role in it. Karunakaran too is in pretty good form of late. He tasted back to back hits with Ullasamga Utsahamga and Darling. Did he deliver for the third time in a row? Is Endukante Premanta as promising as it looked prior to the release? What is it about? This film is about a love pair that is born again after their love failed in the previous birth. Krishna and Srinidhi (Ram and Tamanna) are reborn as Ram and Sravanthi. Fate gets them closer and the couple helps each other in a situation. But Ram realizes that Sravanthi is in a bigger problem than he could imagine. He is the only person who could bail her out of it. Endunkante Premanta is about a love pair in an extraordinary situation.
Performances: Ram suits the role to the T. His suave and stylish looks are impressive. He is one of the few young actors who can shoulder any type of role. His makeover from Kandireega to Endukante Premanta is quite remarkable. Tamanna is adorable in the role of Sravanthi. Despite poorly etched character she does a decent job to make the character work. Sayaji Shinde excels as hero's father. There are few hilarious scenes on him in the latter half. Watch out for the 'award' scene. Anu Haasan is believable. She is one of the pillars of this film. Sadly, Rishi failed to put up an impressive show in the negative role. Suman is average. Brahmanandam and Krishna Bhagavan provides comic relief. There is nothing much to write about the remaining star cast.
On the Technical Front:
GV Prakash Kumar has given decent music to Karunakaran's previous two films. This time he failed to live up to the expectations. Except for a couple of songs nothing is worthy enough to listen to. Background score is another weak link. Cinematography comes as the only positive point. Graphics are badly done. Editing is not up to the mark. There is so much lag in the film. Dialogues are written by Kona Venkat, who has also done a role in the movie. He is definitely a better writer than actor. Karunakaran's shoddy work is shocking. This is definitely not him. This could easily be one of his bad films ever. His trademark style is completely missing. The bad script has done him this time. We wish to see better films from the director and Endukante Premanta is the last we could expect from the sensible director.
Analysis:
Endukante Premanta is a soulless love story which fails to strike the rights chords. The concept of the film itself is pretty bad. The plot line is inspired from the film Just Like Heaven. Karunakaran tried to make changes to the script to suit the sensibilities of Telugu audience. However, he has failed miserably in getting the emotions right. Even the audience who doesn't have a clue about the plotline could guess that Tamanna is not a person but a soul. Such is the screenplay. Every scene has been poorly written and logic goes for a toss. First half of the film runs at a snail pace and it would be a big test to sit through it. Even the twist fails to shock due to bad screenplay. Second half starts off on a better note, but it has been dragged endlessly and pointlessly. It could have trimmed by at least thirty minutes. Director tried to make it up in the climax scenes, but he has messed it up big time much before that and nothing could save this film from turning out to be a major disappointment.
Verdict: Endukante Premanta is a total letdown
This year, when it comes to the genre of socio fantasy films is concerned more than regular ratio of films, when compared to the earlier years is being made in South...
In T - Town alone, as of now, we have S.S. Raja Mouli’s ‘Eega’ and King Nagarjuna’s ‘Dhamarukam’ in which the importance of graphics is really high and this is one of the main reasons the release of these films is getting postponed... the release of ‘Eega’ is being postponed to July from May and we have no clue when ‘Dhamarukam’ would hit the silver screen....
Even Super Star Rajni Kanth is working on entertaining the audience with a out and out fiction genre ka film titled ‘kochadiyan’… Rajni’s look in the film, in the recently released first look is turning out to be a highlight and it is understood that graphics have a major role to play in this film as well...
Looks like ‘graphics’ would rule some of the major films in South this year… if this works out, all fine… if something goes here and there, the film maker, distributor and in turn the business of the film industry would be at stake…
She claims to be the trend setter. And is happy to be a trend setter than following somebody. She commented on hiring stylists. She has started hiring stylists and people started following her. She thinks we can talk of somany when it comes to films , but when it comes to fashion its only her, as per her.
Guess what, Katrina is not the first to be commented on, in the list are Aishwarya, Shobha De, Abhay Deol, Ranbir Kapoor. Well, 5 years in the industry, 6 films to her credit and not a single notable hit at BO. Probably this is what makes her envy of dear Katrina who is most sought after in the industry and the Bollywood Khans are waiting for her dates. Poor Sonam, Its getting tough to digest the facts and is hitting at contemporaries.
This banner is known as one of the biggest players of Telugu Film Industry. Insiders are saying that this production house is now finding tough in zeroing on heroines. Other than joint ventures, Suresh Productions is not involving into any direct production these days. Their share in the project is always about distributing and releasing the movie, but not involving in production. Suresh Productions's last film is 'Mugguru' and we have seen three flop starlets like Sanjana and Shraddha Das sizzling in that. The film has marked a belief in heroines that Suresh Productions will pay less and demand more skin show in the name of commercial elements. These rumours have widespread in tinsel town and now pretty hot babes are fearing to sign the ventures of Suresh Productions. Unfortunately this is happening for small budgeted movies of this company and Sunil's upcoming movie is one of them. Though some happening Hyderabad models are willing to obey the demands of Suresh Productions, known faces are siding out. Let us see how Suresh Productions will give a blow to these babes!
Well, the heading bears it all. We are talking about some happening Radio Jockeys of Hyderabad radio stations that are using 'hot heroines' for their pleasure. But, these RJs are not male, shockingly female! If you are a resident and avid driver on the roads of Hyderabad, then you will surely plug your ears with an FM station tuning to the husky, sexy, naughty and sweet voice of your favorite lady. These ladies are now befriending the hot heroines of Telugu industry who come to their station for giving some live interviews. After that, they are entering into the groups of directors and producers along with these heroines. Their ultimate goal is to get pleasure by sizzling on silver screen even at least for a couple of minutes. Even some male RJs are also taking this route by not getting succeeded, while hot lady RJ's are finding it easier. Whether it is a RJ, anchor, program producer, script writer or office assistant in a media house, their intention is to end up an actor it seems. That's the power of 'grease paint' guys!

Babu and Bhoomika are banking on socio fantasy story to generate

The bikini culture is quite common in Bollywood and what was meant to be a forte of the item bombshells and vamps has now shifted to the heroines league and that too the top league. However, the culture is yet to spread so quickly in the south but it is slowly picking up. Now, one more name is ready to join the bikini league. She is the doe eyed beauty Amala Paul. Recently, Amala was sharing her thoughts when she reportedly mentioned that one can be firm on not compromising when it comes to bagging film offers but in front of the camera, nothing works. Amala has done Bezawada with Naga Chaitanya, which left her in dismay and nothing else. She maintained that it is mandatory to be glamorous and she has no personal objection in donning a bikini or giving a visual feast to the audience. Amala was also heard stating that it is not just her but many other starlets who are willing to do such stints. For now, let us wait to see when Amala will arrive in that avatar.
Considered as one of the finest beauties of Telugu Industry, Bhumika Chawla is again returning to full time acting in Telugu industry. Indeed, this is sending bad signals across the tinsel town. After burning her hands as a producer for 'Thakita Thakita' along with her yoga-guru husband, the celebrity couple of Bharat Takur and Bhumika Chawla are debt ridden. After taking a stipulated break to recover from the blow, she is now joining as a heroine opposite Jagapathi Babu in upcoming movie 'April Fools'. They say that it is normal for bachelor heroines to rise and fall and rise, but being a married aunty, Bhumika's acts might get her only B-grade flicks. There is also a chance of ending up like Arthi Agarwal who has done some sleazy flicks after marriage and is seen nowhere now. Critics are feeling that Bhumika is still having that aura on her face to mesmerize Telugu youths unlike Arthi babe. Let us see.
While being part of the film industry is one thing, doing good films under good directors is another thing. But once a good break is got, it is the responsibility of the actors to play their cards wisely and shape up their career before it is too late. However, one girls seems to struggle in that department. She is the Telugu beauty Madhushalini. Though she is part of the cine circuit since few years, she is yet to register a hit. However, things changed for Madhu in the recent past as she was roped in by the Tamil director Bala for 'Vaadu-Veedu'. This was followed by Ram Gopal Varma with the film 'Department'. In 'Department', Madhu is seen smoking cigar and had a rugged role. However, despite all these stints and big breaks, the pretty girl is currently seeking opportunities. While Madhu still has the right kind of material in her, let us wish she gets some juicy offers in the future.
If a sexy heroine on silver screen quits acting these days, it is not the end of show from her. After entering their 'aunty' age, these women are trying luck once again on TVs. Yesteryear hotties like Roja and Amani are busy enthralling the audiences on small-screen with their spineless game shows. But none of them are having the same old glamour or beauty to make everyone speechless. One such beautiful girl who is still having that glow on her face is now joining them to give a tough fight. She is none other than yesteryear siren Meena. She is all set to rock small screen with her upcoming reality show 'Ne Kongu Bangaram Gaanu'. Comparatively, this aunty stands on top both as a glamour-doll and performer than Roja and Amani during those times. We have to now see how Meena will tackle these two boring aunties to bring smiles on the faces of family audience.
Dil Raju, the man with midas touch, has teamed up with young tiger NTR again for the film in the direction of Harish Shankar. The film is tentatively titled as MLA (which means Manchi Lakshanalu Unna Abbai). Dil Raju has roped in successful writers combo Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan for this film, which have a political backdrop. The makers are considering Shruti Hassan for the female role opposite NTR. Devi Sri Prasad will do the job once again for Harish. This film will go to floors by the end of this year, after NTR wraps up Baadshah shooting. Although Kodali Nani was the first choice for producing this mass entertainer, due to unknown reasons NTR preferred Dil Raju in the last minute. Will Dil Raju's midas touch bring good fortune for NTR? Let's wait till the release!

At present, he is concentrating his energies on developing his farmhouse in Medak district.
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu have been busy canvassing for their respective party candidates in the by-elections.
Unmindful of the hot summer, YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayalakshmi and her daughter Sharmila have plunged into election campaign for the first time following the arrest of party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
All the TRS leaders and cadres are also busy campaigning in Parkal which they are taking as matter of prestige with the BJP jumping into the fray.
But Rao has merely delegated responsibilities to his party leaders and has retired to his farmhouse.
Hyderabad, June 4 (INN): Former Minister Dr P Shankar Rao on Monday condemned the alleged harassment of YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma and her daughter Sharmila by the police during their campaign trail.
Talking to reporters outside the Congress Legislature Party office, Dr Shankar Rao said that the behaviour of police officials was highly condemnable and they should not have checked their suitcases frequently.
He alleged that Vijayamma's suitcases were being checked on the instructions of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and police was treating their luggage as those of terrorists. He said such actions would damage the Congress party in the by-elections.
Dr Shankar Rao also condemned the Chief Minister's remarks wherein he stated that Jaganmohan Reddy would face imprisonment for at least 14 years in the assets case.
He said the Chief Minister should restrain from making such statements as the investigation into the case was still in progress.
He also demanded that the CBI arrest former Government Advisor KVP Ramchandra Rao in the disproportionate assets of Jaganmohan Reddy.
He said KVP could provide vital information with regard to allotment of lands in Emaar and other projects as he was very close to the then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Further, he demanded that the government recover the land allotted for all controversial projects.
The former minister hailed the participation of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the by-elections' campaign.
He said Azad's visit has energised the workers at all levels and requested him to extend his tour for a few more days.
HYDERABAD: Ten days after the arrest of a cabinet minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana in Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's illegal assets case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned another minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah for questioning.
The investigating agency Monday issued notice to Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah directing him to appear before it on June 7, CBI sources said.
The minister would be appearing before CBI on the day when five-day CBI custody of jailed MP Jaganmohan Reddy would come to an end.
Lakshmaiah, as minister for major industries in the earlier cabinet of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, had issued orders allocating water from Krishna river to some cement companies which invested in the companies of Rajasekhara Reddy's son Jaganmohan Reddy.
The CBI on May 24 arrested then excise minister Mopidevi Venkataramana. He is now lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail.
Venkataramna had issued orders allotting land and extending other concessions for Vanpic company, whose promoter Nimmagadda Prasad made investments in Jagan's companies.
Lakshmaiah will be the fourth minister to be questioned by the CBI in the case. The agency had already questioned Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao. Two other ministers are also under the CBI scanner.
The Supreme Court in March had issued notices to the six ministers and eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials, asking them why their role should not be probed in issuing 26 controversial government orders during YSR's tenure.
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said that YSR Congress chief Y
S Jagan Mohan Reddy would go to jail for 17 years if crimes against him
were proved. Naidu gave Jagan three years more of jail sentence than
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who said Jagan would go to jail for 14
years.
Naidu
addressed election meetings in East Godavari and Srikakulam districts
on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said Jagan was giving packages
to MPs and MLAs. He said that several persons were going to jail because
of the crimes committed by Jagan. Referring to the recent disclosure
that mining baron Gali Janardana Reddy gave money to a judge for his
bail, Naidu has wondered how many hundreds of crores Jagan would offer
to get a bail.
Naidu
has alleged that YSR Congress and Congress had indulged in
match-fixing. He said both the parties were buying MLAs. The TDP chief
was possibly referring to reports that TDP Nuzvid MLA Chinnam Rama
Kotaiah met the AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and would
shortly be joining the Congress party. Reports earlier said that Rama
Kotaiah has earlier decided to join the YSR Congress and later changed
his mind as YSRC already has a candidate from Nuzvid in the 2014
elections.
‘DHARMANA TOO WILL GO TO JAIL’
Naidu
has said development in the State had taken place only during the TDP
rule and never was room given for corruption. He alleged that the
Congress rule has turned into a curse to the State. He said minister
Dharmana Prasada Rao and some more ministers would also go to jail soon.
He said that the government was trapped in massive corruption charges
and had no time to think about the problems of the people.
He
said farmers were in a very pitiable condition. Referring to the
statements of Dharmana, Naidu said TDP could not be cowed down by his
threats. He said the Congress government has turned the sand business as
a syndicated mafia trade and had been striking at the very livelihood
of the construction workers. He said the State government had totally
failed in providing quality power to people and industries. Stating that
the State was destroyed in all sectors, Naidu said there was need for
total reconstruction. He said both the Congress and YSR Congress were
responsible for this pathetic condition.

Though the by-elections are confined to only some districts of the state, they generated interest statewide. So betting gangs sprang up every where and gung ho are the bidders. This enthusiasm has even reached the professional bookies who have been controlling cricket game. Their networks are now directed towards politics. They started conducting independent surveys and deciding who would win. They are said to be indulging in scientific analysis of the goings on, day by day. They have identified popular candidates and devised ways to attract bidders.
The sight of a heroine coming to the shooting location in her own car is something we witness very rarely. The starlets among stars also never indulge in that. There is a reason behind this, which is violated by our sexy bulky girl. Bulging beauty turned seductress, Hansika Motwani is busy these days spreading a word everywhere that she bought a new BMW car. Apparently she is the proud owner of a 60 lakhs BMW 5 series car now. In fact, heroines never stay in the news with such luxury things as that will raise eyebrows. Sources are saying that the bulky girl now entered the hit-list of Income Tax sleuths for a regular check-up. Generally for top stars, everything will not be paid in 'cash' and all the cash will not be 'white'. Earlier, actresses like Anushka and Bhumika are raided by the IT sleuths when they started using their on Mercedes and Audi in the tinsel town. As long as if the accounts are correct and spending is proportional to earning, these heroines need not fear. We have to see how exactly Hansika will handle this!
Claiming to be a feminist, Sonam said she could burn her bra at any second. Responding to a question if she sees the item numbers an opportunity for women to express their sexuality or as a thing that's been pushing us back, Sonam admitted that she is not good enough to judge something or someone. Finally, she stated that item numbers are a fun to watch but she is not sure if she would be able to do them. Sonam, a fashionista, concluded by saying Indian actresses have a long way to go and she is hopeful of reaching the target.
She never looks like a married woman in public, but her on-screen 'aunty' and 'akka' roles have indeed confirmed that. While everyone thought that she is fading, she is taking a sexy route to revamp. Surekha Vani, one of those sexy side-actresses of Telugu industry is not doing pretty well these days. Except sparkling for a couple of minutes, she is not getting meaty roles where she can put both performance and glamour. During the start of her career, she touched the glamor route, but somehow backed it off later. Once again, this hot woman is donning sleeveless blouses and semi-transparent sarees as a 'sexy' school teacher. All this is happening with her upcoming film 'Kittugadu' under the direction of a new comer. Cine observers are saying that Surekha is not timing her performance with glamour to make her mark in Tollywood. They feel that a beautiful woman is getting wasted in this industry with silly roles. We have to see what Surekha will say about this!
To escape from the producers and other sleuths (you know whom) who are running behind her, our Arabian-horse hatched a plan finally. For next two months, she will not be available to anyone. Curvaceous siren Anushka is always in the news in Tollywood for not accepting any Telugu offer from the last one year. Recently, she created ruffles with the news of signing a top-hero's upcoming movie in Telugu. Latest buzz is that this hot beauty is heading for a foreign country for the next two months. This is not a pleasure trip but a movie shooting. Her upcoming movie under the direction of Selvaraghavan is scheduled a 65 days shoot in some exotic locales of Georgia. Paired with Arya, the film is tentatively titled as 'Brindavanamlo Nandakumarudu'. Insiders are saying that Anushka will be at her romantic best in this movie with some dare bare intimacy scenes. For now, it is again sad news for the admirers of this hot beauty as she cannot maker her presence felt in any public function too.
One of the biggest hits of the recent times in Bollywood is Kahaani and it had the sensuous beauty Vidya Balan coming up with a riveting and bold performance. As expected, the demand for the film grew in south and remake rights were bought. In this film, Vidya played a pregnant lady role searching for her lost husband. But the big hurdle is, who can step into the shoes of Vidya and reprise the role. Given her caliber of acting and the raunchiness required for the role, only someone with material can take it up as a challenge. However, the latest update is that the seductive eyed beauty Anjali is being considered for the remake in Telugu. Nandamuri Balakrishna fans have been treated with Simha two years ago and the actor is due for another success since then. His latest film Adhinayakudu has created enough buzz with few
political dialogues and mass masala content. Did Balakrishna get it right this time? Is Adhinayakudu a movie worth the wait?
Political rivals of Seema leader RamaKrishna (Balakrishna) plans to kill him by hiring a professional killer Bobby (Balakrishna). When Bobby realizes that Ramakrishna is his father he starts protecting him. But there is a dark past that separates the father and son. What is that is revealed in the latter part of the story.
Performances: Balakrishna gave a marvelous performance in three roles. His body language for all the three characters in very different and that shows the greatness of the actor. However, he should have taken care of the makeup used for middle aged role and the younger one. Balakrishna dances with excellent energy and that is a treat to watch. Lakshmi Rai plays the role of a glam doll. Pradeep Rawat's villainy is Okay. Kota Srinivasa Rao is good and Murali Sharma is natural. Jayasudha steals the show in sentiment scenes. Brahmanandam's funny alien comedy works well in some parts.
parts. Rest of the cast did their best.
On the Technical Front:
Kalyani Malik's music is passable. Songs in the second half are good. Background score is alright. Cinematography is good. Editing is adequate. Dialogues are written by the director himself and there are ample dialogues to get whistles from the fans. Paruchuri Murali handled the scenes on middle aged role and old age role with great command. Had he taken good care on the scenes of young Balakrishna, it would have been much better than what it is now. Analysis: First half of the film concentrates on entertainment factor. Scenes on Balakrishna and Brahmanandam provide comic relief. Watch out for the introduction scene of Brahmanandam. Lakshmi Rai provides the mass masala factor. However the scenes on her have been dragged a bit too much. Story gathers pace as the second character of Story gathers pace as the second character of Balakrishna enters the show. He takes the film to the next level and the movie reaches a high at the interval point. Second half is much better with nice family drama and political drama taking the driving seat. However, inconsistency in screenplay mars the show. There is a good scene and it is followed up with a downer. More or less the graph is same throughout the second half. Nevertheless it will be liked by Balakrishna fans. There is not much in offer for families and female crowds. Masses may like to see Balakrishna in three different avatars. Verdict: Adhinayakudu is Balakrishna's show.
Hyderabad,
May 31: Road transport services in Andhra Pradesh came to a halt as the
opposition-sponsored daylong shutdown to protest the steep hike in
petrol prices evoked wide response across the state.
The
shutdown was partial in Hyderabad but was near total in the districts.
Buses of state-run Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation
(APSRTC) and auto-rickshaws went off the roads while shops, petrol
bunks, business establishments and educational institutions remained
closed.
Police said the protest has been peaceful.
The nationwide shutdown has been called by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as the Left parties.
In
Andhra Pradesh, the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana
Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and YSR Congress Party were also supporting the
shutdown to demand rollback of the petrol price hike.
In
a rare show of unity, political rivals joined hands to protest the
price hike. At many places, workers of the BJP, TDP, CPI and CPI-M were
seen together stopping buses or staging road blockades.
Majority
of the APSRTC buses remained confined to depots as the protestors did
not allow authorities to take them out. They sat in front of the depots
since early morning. Holding their party flags and raising
anti-government slogans, they laid siege to the depots.
The
shutdown was partial in Hyderabad as APSRTC was running most of the
city buses with police protection. Shops and petrol bunks were also open
in many places.
At
the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Hyderabad, police arrested CPI-M
leader P. Madhu and dozens of other party activists for trying to stop
the buses. Though police claimed that the buses were plying normally,
services were affected because of the total impact of the strike in
districts.
Police
arrested dozens of leaders and workers of opposition parties for
staging protests at bus depots and for blocking the roads. In Khammam,
protestors damaged a bus. At few places, they deflated the tyres of
buses and auto-rickshaws.
Except
the ruling Congress party, the activists of all parties blocked a
highway in Kadapa district, leading to massive traffic jam. The
opposition parties took out rallies and staged protests in Kadapa,
Anantapur, Tirupati and other parts of Rayalaseema region.
In
coastal Andhra, the shutdown evoked good response with the TDP and Left
activists not allowing buses to leave the depots. The shutdown
paralysed transport services in coastal city of Visakhapatnam,
Vijayawada, Guntur and other towns. Shops and business establishments
also remained closed in most of the towns in the region.
With the TRS also joining the protest in Telangana, the shutdown was total in the region, except in Hyderabad.
The
protest in Andhra Pradesh is significant as the petrol price in the
state is one of the highest in the country. The state levies 33 percent
Value Added Tax (VAT) on petroleum products, the highest in the country.
