Rajamouli's visual wonder Baahubali is not a juggernaut anymore as it falls flat on face in its last release in Germany. Baahubali turned out to be a grand success everywhere it went and was expected to make wonders in German release too.
A Hollywood editor made some necessary edits to Baahubali to suit abroad release and the German distributors 'Splendid films' released it as 'Ich Bin Baahubali' on April 28th, which collected just 4,166 Euros (Not more than 3.2 lakh rupees) in its first week. The distributors expected it rule the box office for few weeks to make the money rain, like it did in other countries. But German audiences judgement says otherwise.
Many Indian films have been doing well at German box office and that made the distributors go for a huge bid on biggest hit in India, that finally looks inevitable for them to fall in great loss. -

Nepalese Defence Minister Bhim Rawal on Saturday accused Nepal’s just-recalled envoy to India of trying to topple Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s government in Kathmandu.
With the move, Nepal’s internal politics has once again cast a shadow on its relations with India.
Kathmandu not only called off Nepalese President Vidya Devi Bhandari’s proposed visit to India, but also recalled its envoy to New Delhi, Deep Kumar Upadhyay, accusing him of working against the interests of Nepal. India, however, maintained that it had no role in the recent internal political developments in Nepal, but would keep watch on the evolving situation in the neighbouring country.
The twin moves by Kathmandu came shortly after Oli’s government in Nepal appeared to be threatened by a crack in the ruling coalition.
Though Oli survived the crisis for now, a section of political establishment in Kathmandu once again started blaming India for triggering instability in the neighbourhood.
Upadhyay was also accused of working with New Delhi for destabilising the Oli government.
“Envoys should follow government’s directives and maintain diplomatic decorum,” Rawal was quoted by PTI in a report from Kathmandu.
Reports in Nepalese media on Friday and Saturday indicated that Kathmandu’s envoy to New Delhi had opposed Oli government’s decision to call off the presidential visit to India. Bhandari was expected to commence her maiden visit to India as Nepalese president on Monday.
Apart from meeting her counterpart Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi, she was scheduled to visit Simhasth Kumbh at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
Upadhyay has been accused of being involved in toppling the government, breaching his jurisdiction without informing the government and visiting some western Nepal districts accompanying India’s ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, the PTI quoted Rawal, who is also a deputy prime minister.
Kamal Thapa, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Nepal, however, said that recall of Kathmandu’s envoy to New Delhi and cancellation of President Bhandari’s visit to India were not related.
Thapa, according to Himalayan Times published from Kathmandu, cited 4 main reasons for cancellation of the visit — recent political developments in Nepal, president’s scheduled engagement in the nation to present the government policy and programme at House, lack of preparations and a natural disaster in Ujjain.

By now, Kajal Agarwal can be considered a senior actress in Tollywood and with so much young talent available in the field, she is a bit outdated as well. Yet, she is not compromising on her remuneration and is still highly demanding.
Her latest film Sardar Gabbar Singh turned out to be a flop. And it has been a long time since she gave a super hit film in Tollywood and her chances are dwindling. But still, she is demanding a remuneration of not less than Rs one crore for her film.
The latest report is that a director who is very much fond of Kajal has offered her a role in his film and is ready to pay remuneration of Rs 1.25 crore. This is despite the fact that she has lost her charm a lot and is not looking very glamorous compared to many young heroines.
In Sardar Gabbar Singh, there was a talk that she looked like an aunty. Yet, the director was ready to pay her remuneration of over Rs one crore.
Interestingly, Kajal is also doing a film with Mahesh Babu. Though she is not playing the lead role in that film, it will help her retain her status in Telugu films!
The team of "Brahmotsavam" is promoting the movie in different way and even Mahesh Babu is also actively participating in. The team is using the best pics of Mahesh Babu from the movie to promote the movie on social media.
The most desirable man of Tollywood always looks handsome but in the movie he is looking even more dashing. In the frames and lighting composed by renowned cinematographer Rathnavelu, the promotional photos of Mahesh Babu has him in handsomest poses.
Unlike in the past, Mahesh Babu is now sharing and retweeting all the posters and videos of "Brahmotsavam" to make the movie get all the buzz.
Today social media and internet media has become key to get initial openings. He has realized this and is using his twitter handle well now.
Actor Ram Charan is undergoing a special workout regime for his upcoming yet-untitled Telugu remake of last year's Tamil blockbuster "Thani Oruvan", which is currently on the floors and is being directed by Surender Reddy.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Higher Education Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who is considered to be a close associate of megastar Chiranjeevi, still feels emotional about his disassociation with Praja Rajyam Party.
He told ABN Andhra Jyothy channel in an interview that he virtually broke down while giving his resignation letter to Chiranjeevi. And the megastar, too, was in tears, while accepting his resignation.
“It was an emotional moment. I thought of quitting politics, after Praja Rajyam fiasco. But I continued because of Chiranjeevi. And before 2014 elections, I had no option but to join my parent party TDP,” he said.
And Chiranjeevi, too, took it easy. “He told me it was good that I am joining the TDP and not YSR Congress party. And he wished me all the best,” Ganta said, in an emotional voice.
Even now, Ganta and Chiranjeevi maintain very good relations, though TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu may not like it.
“After Naga Babu and Pavan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi likes me the most as his third brother,” Ganta said.
Brahmotsavam theatrical trailer is superb with Mahesh Babu in full form and Srikanth Addala at the top of his game. Colorful visuals and Mahesh Babu's likeable dialogs will definitely leave a lasting impact on its viewers.
Brahmotsavam is the most awaited movie of the year and the trailer is superbly cut that the expectations on the movie will surely be multiplied after seeing it.
Mahesh and Srikanth Addala promised a wholesome family entertainer and Brahmotsavam looks every bit of it going by the trailer.

Let’s hope that the film will live up to the high expectations that were set by the trailer.

Remember director Venu Sriram? Venu was the director who made his debut with Oh Siddharth-Shruti Haasan's Oh My Friend five years ago. While the film failed to meet the expectations, Sriram had to wait for four years to announce his next film. While Venu even launched his film Yevado Okadu with Ravi Teja and Dil Raju as producer, the film had ran into trouble even before it hit the floors.
It's learnt that Venu is one of the main reasons for the film not going to shooting floors. Apparently, Venu's loose-tongue resulted in the differences with Ravi Teja and it eventually led to the shelving of the project.
Though later on Venu was confident on doing a film with Nagarjuna, but going by the commitments lined-up for Nag, the film is not going to be any sooner it seems. Naturally, Venu is now regretting the grave mistake he had done and sharing the same with his close aides. But by the time Venu has realised his mistake, the damage has been done. - See more at:

Suriya's best performance in time travel concept and Vikram Kumar's screenplay made 24 an interesting movie with great reviews all over. 24 has become huge and the makers have decided to make it even better.
24 is going to get a trim of 9 minutes from total run time of 2 hours and 40 minutes and this new version will be screened from afternoon shows of Saturday. As many mentioned that lengthy love track and second half are diluting the plot, they decided to cut some scenes.
Suriya waited a long time for a blockbuster and now 24 looks like the one. The star hero is making some good money out of 24 already and with decent reviews nationwide, remake rights too must be hitting big numbers for sure. The total budget of 24 is around 70 crores. -

After two disasters like 'Jyothi Lakshmi' and 'Loafer', everyone expected Puri Jagannadh to slow down a bit. But this crazy director amazed everyone by announcing big films one after the other.
Recently, Puri started a film with Kalyan Ram and that film may hit the screens by the end of this year. On the occasion of 10 years for his iconic film 'Pokiri', he announced another film with Mahesh titled 'Jana Gana Mana' and released the poster too.
This film is expected to start once Mahesh completes Murugadoss's project. Puri's film is expected to be Mahesh's landmark 25th film says the sources.
On the other hand, reports reveal that Puri narrated a story line to Venkatesh and he immensely liked the script. If everything goes as planned, Puri will be the director of Venkatesh's 75th film. Seems like, our stars believed that Puri can justify their prestigious films. -

24 Movie Review
24 has caught every film lover's attention with its intriguing promos. Vikram Kumar's previous film Manam has set a bar high for the director and people expected something exceptional from him again. Vikram Kumar's 24 is a science fiction drama about time travel. It is a very complicated plot but Vikram Kumar makes it simple and very understandable, and all the more enjoyable.
What is it about?
Scientist Siva Kumar (Surya) invents a watch that can control the time. His evil twin brother Athreya (Surya) is after the watch. He kills Siva Kumar and his wife (Nitya), but Siva Kumar makes sure his baby boy is in the safe hands. He also leaves the watch along with the baby. The boy grows up to be Mani (Surya) a watch mechanic. Athreya wakes up from coma after twenty six years and tries to restart the project 24. He gives an advertisement to find if someone can make his dream come true. An intrigued Mani goes to Athreya to find the truth behind the watch, but Athreya catches him and kills him and take possession of the watch. What happens next?
Performances:
Surya is just mind blowing in the role of Athreya. His expressions are priceless as he portrays the evilness of the character just by sitting in a wheel chair. Surya is also good as the scientist and as charming as ever as Mani. Samantha is good within the character's limitations. Nitya Menon has a brief role to play. Ajay is good. Saranya is impressive.
Technicalities:
Vikram Kumar has once again come up with an out-of-the-box idea and tried to narrate it in a very simple manner that most of the people could understand. He has masterfully executed the main plot of the movie. This film will put him in the league of great directors that Indian cinema has ever produced.
Rahman's background score is very good. Songs could have been better. There are only a few songs in the film and we expect far better output from the Oscar winner. Cinematography is one of the major highlights of the film. Thirru has done a fabulous job in bringing the imaginary world of the director to life. Editing is fine. Production values and VFX is top notch.
Thumbs Up:
Concept
Surya
Direction
Cinematography
Thumbs Down:
Samantha episodes
Slow pace
Limited appeal
Analysis:
Despite Vikram Kumar's best efforts to make this an appealing movie to the majority of audience, the concept may not be easily grasped by the frontbenchers. This may impact the film's prospects at the box office. 24 is not a perfect film as it has its share of flaws and problems.
Director failed to strike a balance between the colorful romantic side of the story with its grey side. The film looks entirely different whenever Atreya comes on screen. Vikram Kumar should have toned down the Surya-Samantha track. He could have edited out few bits from that episode as it comes as a major speed bump on a thrilling ride.
Although 24 has limited appeal and has its minuses it is one of the best movies in recent times. We won't get to see such ideas being executed by our filmmakers where the majority of audience loves to watch the masala stuff. Vikram Kumar needs a pat on the back for exploring something unusual and Suriya should be lauded for backing such an innovative idea. 24 is a must watch for audience that are craving something different in an Indian film.
Verdict: Two Thumbs up.

Even though dad Saif is looking naughty after 40, his daughter Sara is in news for her love life. Bollywood circles are a buzz with the news that Sara Ali Khan is dating a Mumbai based Delhi guy who studies with Sara.

This news has created a lot of buzz in the media and political circles. Until now it was only Saif's son who was quite popular in the media but looks like his daughter has gone one step ahead and broken all rules of secrecy. -

The Supreme Court rapped the TS government last month for its proposal to close over 400 schools and constituted an expert panel to tour TS to find out the reasons. The panel started its two-day tour of the districts on Thursday.
But the government wants to bring to the notice of the Supreme Court panel that it wants to close over 4,000 schools with poor enrolment as it has became economically unviable to run them, and take up clubbing of schools this year to increase enrolment in the remaining schools.
Clubbing only option, feels Telangana government

The TS government is preparing for the Supreme Court’s expert panel that over 4,000 government schools have poor enrolment and need to be closed down this year.
As per existing norms, the minimum enrolment required to run a school is 60 students and it would be both financially and operationally unviable to run a school below this enrolment.
As per data gathered by the school education department, there are 12,178 schools in the state which have enrolment of less than 60. These schools need to be clubbed with nearby schools to make them viable, which will lead to the closure of 4,481 schools.
“The clubbing of schools is a must to save the government schools from closure. This process should not be viewed as closure but rationalisation of schools to utilise the services of teachers and infrastructure facilities to the maximum possible extent for the benefit of students. If we allow all the existing schools to continue irrespective of their enrolment, they will not serve any purpose and crores of rupees of public money will go down the drain as salaries would have to be paid to staff every month, besides incurring unnecessary maintenance and operational costs like free textbooks, free uniforms and free midday meals,” said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari who holds the education portfolio.
As per existing norms, there should be a teacher for every subject in high schools. With this, six subject teachers qualified in B.Ed/M.Ed. are being wasted for each class if the school has enrolments of less than 60. In some schools, it was found that there were more teachers than students. The government has asked district collectors to prepare reports on schools with poor enrolment and submit them to the SC panel.

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda says his upcoming film "Sarbjit" does not show Pakistan in a bad light.
Directed by Omung Kumar, the movie is based on Sarabjit, who died following an assault by fellow prisoners at a Pakistani jail. It stars Randeep Hooda in the titular role of the Indian convict.
"I don't think there is any Pakistan bashing per say in the film. But yes, there are a lot of prisoners over there and some are subjected to atrocities. I am not sure if that happens here as well...If you treat somebody for such things just because of their nationality and not their crime, then, if it happens in India or Pakistan, it is always wrong," the actor told reporters here.
Randeep said the film merely chronicles the life of a common man, who was stuck between the political climate of India and Pakistan.
"The film is based in a Pakistan prison. But there is nothing that we are bashing a country like Pakistan. It's just a situation where a normal person is stuck between the political ups and downs between the two countries."
The "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai" star was speaking at a special prayer meet organised to commemorate the third death anniversary of Sarbajit who died on May 2, 2013.
The film's entire cast, including actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Richa Chaddha, Darshan Kumar and producer Jacky Bhagnani were also present along with Sarbajit's sister Dalbir Kaur, his wife and a daughter.
Dalbir, whose role is played by Aishwarya in the film, complimented the actress and said she was proud of her.
"Aishwarya is like my younger sister. I saw a lot of me in her. It must've been difficult for her to adapt to Punjabi culture, language. It must've have been emotional for her too. I feel extremely proud of her and Randeep," Dalbir said.
The "Jazbaa" actress, who was visibly emotional along with the entire cast and crew after Dalbir's speech, said she was honoured to play the part.
"It is their (family's) story, their film, they have a birth right to be privy and yet they extended liberty, faith and grace, which is truly commendable. You story does need to reach far and wide," Aishwarya said.
The film is scheduled to release on May 20.

he Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday busted a major credit card fraud by arresting two persons who were part of a gang that created fake debit and credit cards by stealing data using skimming machines.
The arrested are identified Kiran D, 34, of Talaghattapura and Neeta, 33, of Kasavanahalli near Parappana Agrahara in the city. Neeta’s husband and the prime suspect, Manoj Kumar, 41, is at large, said the police.
“We received a tip-off that Kumar had conspired a large scale online cheating. He was planning to move out of Bengaluru and a search is on for him,” Inspector General of Police (CID) Hemanth Nimbalkar told reporters.
The police seized a debit/credit card printing machine, a machine reader, a writer machine, two card embossing machines, a SIM card imaging machine, a thermal printing role, VISA/ MasterCard holograms, electronic data capture machines and 2,762 debit/credit cards without names and numbers, three phones, two modems, six bank passbooks, 16 cheque books and two cars from the suspects, Nimbalkar said.
The suspects used skimming machines to retrieve confidential data from credit/debit/ATM cards. The skimming machines read and store the confidential data of cards once they are swiped. The gang prepared fake credit/debit/ATM cards using this data. They used the fake cards for online purchases and withdrawal of funds. Sometimes, they hacked accounts of not so reliable websites and stole the data, he added.
Kumar, a BBA graduate, was been involved online cheating for the last 14 years. He was first booked by the Chennai police in 2002. The Maharashtra police arrested him in 2003 and he spent about an year in jail. He did not commit any offence for five years after his marriage in 2005. He resumed online cheating a few years later and the Tamil Nady police booked two cases against him in 2011 and 2012, Nimbalkar said.
He fled to Malaysia in 2011 where he came in contact with hackers especially from Indonesia and Malaysia.
He would receive information of Indian credit cards used in those countries and share that information to hackers there.
This resulted in huge illegal operations and the police found it difficult to arrest the suspects, Nimbalkar said. The Bengaluru police booked a case against Kumar in 2014 when after was involved in a crime in Indiranagar.
The Cyber Crime police of CID arrested him and his wife in December 2015. He came out on bail and continued his operations, the IGP said.

How can SHE become Balayya’s lucky mascot?
Can scoring just ‘one’ success with a Star Hero makes an Actress his lucky mascot? Then, What about the Heroines who delivered multiple hits with the same hero?
The discussion is regarding Nandamuri Balakrishna & Nayantara. Yes, They make a good onscreen pair…that’s due to the fact that Nayan is someone who is best suited when paired with Senior Heroes like Rajini, Nagarjuna & Venky.
Until now, Balayya and Nayan acted in two films (‘Simha’ & ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’). While one of them was a Superhit, The other one was a huge disaster when compared the investment & returns. Then, How could Nayan be referred as Ballaya’s lucky mascot? If she is really a lucky mascot, then ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ could have been a huge success at Box Office. Can someone say ‘Simha’ could have been flop if not for Nayantara? Its high time people stop offering these kind of unnecessary titles/tags!
