The 6th annual South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA 2016) flagged off in a grand style at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore yesterday. This two-day festival celebrated the best of Telugu Kannada films on its first day, with Tamil and Malayalam movies left to be honoured today.
Megastar Chiranjeevi was the special attraction at the opening day of SIIMA 2016 last night. All the young stars and even several Chiru's contemporaries enthusiastically took selfies with the Megastar, who was congratulated his much awaited return to the silver screen this year.
From Tollywood, Baahubali and Srimanthudu won all the major awards. While the Best Film was awarded to Baahubali The Beginning, the Best Actor Male award went to Superstar Mahesh Babu for Srimanthudu and his co-star in the film Shruti Haasan grabbed the Best Actor Female award.

Their political rivalry is legendary and dates back to several years. However, they also maintain a friendly rapport even though they mostly target each other over several trivial issues related to both the Telugu states.
AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM KCR, who share an and off friendship with each other, are loggerheads once again over the division of High Court between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
With KCR exerting pressure on the centre over the division, Babu finally broke his silence and said that he is ready for talks with KCR over the High Court and other long pending issues that are troubling both the states.
"We left everything in Hyderabad and came here, why will we fight over High Court now? I am not in a mood to fight with the Telangana government. The High Court division issue is not in the hands of both the CMs nor the centre. It's in the hands of Supreme Court. They are causing issues over the AP Bhavan as well. The Telangana government and the centre must understand AP's problems," Babu said. -

Story
Rambha (Tejaswi Madiwada), Aadya (Kruthika Jayakumar) fall in love with rich guys Seenu and Vicky. As they are enjoying their romance with them, Aswath (Chetan Maddineni) and Peter (Parvatheesam) stars loving them.

Performance
Parvatheesam and Tejaswi Madivada attracted with their competitive performances. Their chemistry rocked on screen leaving all in laughter. Kruthika Jayakumar is good looking but she got limited scope to perform. Chetan Maddineni is ok in his role.
Jabardasth Apparao,Ali tried to attract with their comedy. Others like Vasu Inturi, Sashank, Raja Ravindra acted according to their roles.
Technical
Balreddy attracted with his cinematography. Songs are not many and are just average. JB's background score is good. SB.Uddhav's editing is ok and he should have concentrated in the second half. Murali Krishna Mudidani on debut managed few laughs and attracted to some extent.
Dialogues are good at times and Maruti's story and screenplay is fine in parts. He could have added some romantic elements and worked out on the chemistry between lead pair. He should have included some interesting twists. Production values are fine.

Analysis
Debutante director Murali Krishna Mudidani played safe by selecting a love story. First half is entertaining with good screenplay and direction. first half dialogues attract genex viewers.
Interval bang is good and many expected the same thing to continue in the second half. However many unnecessary scenes and a song comes to break the tempo. Entertainment also dips down and climax turns out to be a routine one.
Over all the film is a average one with Maruti targeting youth with routine story.

On Tuesday night, About Six Hyderabadi Youth from the Old City were taken into custody by the Cops and NIA for allegedly preparing to join ISIS. They seems to be in regular touch with an ISIS recruiter operating through social networking sites from Abroad. Explosive materials have been seized from few of them.
During the interrogation, It came to limelight that blasts have been conducted in Narsapur forest of Medak district to check if what they have learnt is working.
NIA has been conducting the interrogation of these youngsters to find out who has influenced them and how many other had fallen in the IS trap.
