Faced Casting Couch 'Down South', Not In Bollywood! Surveen HOT

New Delhi: Casting couch is one topic that many celebrities shy away from talking about in public but actress Surveen Chawla admits that she witnessed such things in the southern film industry but not in Bollywood.

"I feel very great that I have not encountered this (casting couch) here (Bollywood). I have faced this (casting couch) down south and of course I refused to give into that...Honestly I can only comment on it If I had encountered it in Bollwyood. I don't know if I should call it sheer luck," Surveen told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

The actress says she has never really been "desperate about work", but has been "desiring about work".

"But (I am) not desperate to give in to anything to barter myself in exchange of work...I am too much in love with my dignity and self respect. Work will bring me work and that's my motto," she added.

Surveen says the casting couch in Bollywood existed decades ago.

"In my experience I can only comment on what I have been through . I have not had one single influence of casting couch, which goes a lot to say about the progress that Bollywood has made...," she added.

The 31-year-old star says filmmakers have gone ahead of this and want to cast people on the basis of talent.

"And that's the right way...People wanting to give in to such demands only makes things worse for people," she said.

Surveen feels that Bollywood has progressed.

"I think there are far more stronger women and makers who understand that their love is to make cinema and whoever fits well should be a part. So it is a great progression Bollywood has made," she said.

Character Actor Doing Flesh-Trade With Daughters!

We have been reading about certain parents forcing their own daughters into prostitution to make quick money. In most cases, such parents are forced to do such heinous acts due to poverty.

However, in some cases, it is not the poverty but greed for money that is compelling parents to force their daughters to take to prostitution.

A popular character artiste of the south India comes into this second category of parents. He has a lot of recognition in the film industry with his wide range of characters in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. He has three daughters who also closely related to film industry.

A star hero had an eye on these daughters. Superficially, he is known in the industry as a gentleman with a lot of human values. And there is a huge gap in the age of this hero and the girls. But lust for these girls has made him blind to all moral values in the society.

The said character actor has come to know about the “interest” of this hero in his daughters. And he has no mercy towards the girls and he did not hesitate to send them to the hero to fulfil his desires. Unfortunately, he has no regrets for forcing his daughters into flesh trade to make a quick buck.

When asked, he would become philosophical saying these were all common in life. And the girls had no option but to succumb to their father’s pressures, since they too want to make their own career in the film industry!

Telangana Singer Insulted At ATA?

Strange are the ways of Telugu associations in the US. Most of them have already been divided on caste lines and now on regional lines and they have been organising Telugu conferences at their own will and chalking out their own programmes.

But, when these associations invite someone from the Telugu land, whether it is from Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, they have to respect the invitees.

Especially, the artistes who come all the way from India, expect that they are treated with respect. But the Telugu associations do not show the same kind of enthusiasm in putting up their own show on respecting the invitees.

It happened in the case of Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA and chairman of Telangana culture department Rasamayi Balakishan, who was invited to the American Telugu Association conference, He was called on to the stage to perform for an hour.

When Balakishan was ready to sing, one of the organisers said there was no need for any singing. Another person said since Balakishan was already on the dais, let him sing for five minutes. The first organiser said, no; he can take only one minute. Balakishan was prepared to sing even for a minute and as he took up the mike, somebody disconnected it and the poor Telangana artiste remained helpless.

A humiliated Rasamayi declared that there would be no Telangana song on the ATA dais hereafter.

Babu Fine with Nayantara

Amidst rumours floating that Nayantara was troubling the producers of her forthcoming Telugu film Babu Bangaram and following Nayantara's response, makers have come forward to clear the air.

"There's only one song balance on Nayantara and Venkatesh. It would be shot in a day or two. Rest of the shoot of film has been wrapped up. Nothing is pending. So, there would not be any delay in the release. We're planning to release the film on July 29 as scheduled," said a source in the production house.

Source further added that they haven't faced any trouble from the film's leading lady Nayantara and they were just figment of imagination that were given 'unnecessary importance'.

Producers are planning to have an audio launch soon. The film has music by Ghibran and the post-production work has been wrapped up so far. The film marks the first-time combo of director Maruthi and actor Venkatesh. -

Director Allegations on Sharwanand!

Tamil director-producer Cheran has leveled some serious allegations against actor Sharwanand who is usually soft and maintains distance from controversies. Cheran alleged that Sharwa hasn't cooperated for the publicity of his film Rajadhi Raja that released last week after a lot of hurdles.

"I was hurt after learning that hero Sharwanand and producer Sravanthi Ravikishore were resorting to bad propaganda on the film. I had roped in for the film when he didn't have hits. I agreed to pay him Rs 1 Crore as his remuneration and paid Rs 55 Lakh for him. Still I need to pay him another Rs 45 Lakh. He hasn't come for the promotion of Rajadhi Raja. He didn't even turn up for the film's audio launch. Is this the respect he's giving for the producer who had trusted him and invested crores on him? I'm still maintaining that Sharwanand is good actor. But such acts of him demean his value, stature. Initially, Sravanthi Ravikishore was producer for the film. He used to interfere in my job. He had asked me that he'd cut the film's trailer and I didn't agree as it was my job. He had dropped from the film's production. With this, the film was stalled for a year. After facing many hurdles, I myself managed to finish the film. Telugu producer Venkatesh has come forward to see the film and bought the film only after impressed with it. Sharwa didn't respond even after my repeated attempts to invite him for film promotion. I had sent him 25 smses and he hasn't replied to even one of them. I've never told him that I won't pay the remaining fee. But he had stated that he has no connection with the film. I felt bad as a good film wasn't promoted well and there was no cooperation when a new director was debuting into Telugu. Producer Venkatesh had great difficulty in releasing the film. When we approached heroine to promote the film, she had said she'd come for promotion only if hero comes. Was she cast by producer or Hero?"

"When my daughter was in a problem, Sharwa had helped her out. I treated him as my younger brother. But today, he's a changed man. I don't want to complain against Sharwa or heroine or Ravikishore in the matter. Rajadhi Raja is a good film. Few heroes, directors from Telugu have called me and appreciated the film. Without publicity, we did good job. Had hero, heroine cooperated, we'd have tasted bigger success," Cheran briefed media persons in Chennai at a press conference.

With Cheran coming out in open and leveling allegations, Sharwa is now in a spot. It's time for Sharwa to react on Cheran's fresh allegations. -

Cyberabad SHE Team sent a Hyderabad-based Car Washer behind the bars for harassing his former lover by leaking their love-making videos.

Banda Rupesh and the Victim had been in a relationship when they were studying in a college. After a while, The Girl parted ways with him and got married to an another guy. Rupesh who couldn't deal with it resorted to taking revenge on her.

At first, Rupesh uploaded their intimate video clips on few porn sites. There after, He sent the copies of it to his Ex-Girlfriend's Husband, in-Laws and their Neighbours.

The victim, who is an employee of a software firm, lodged a complaint with Cyberabad SHE Teams. Rupesh who owns a car washing centre in Madhapur has been arrested and he confessed to have committed the crime during the questioning. The videos upload on the porn sites have been deleted.

Heroine urges Hero to Divorce his Wife

If the reports of Bollywood Media are true by any chance, Yami Gautam is persuading his rumored boyfriend Pulkit Samrat to divorce his wife Shweta Rohira.

Pulkit Samrat and Shweta Rohira parted ways in October last year. Ever since then, Pulkit has been dating Yami Gautam but they restrained from admitting it openly.

In a recent interview, Pulkit Samrat said he was too busy shooting for his upcoming films and hence don't have the time for looking into legal matters.

As per media reports, Yami Gautam asked Pulkit to opt for a divorce as he and his estranged wife were no more together. She seem to have set this as a condition to take their relationship to the next level.
