Nagarjuna who has been in tremendous form lately is once again bang on the money with Oopiri. The veteran superstar should be lauded for picking such an unusual character of a paraplegic. Tamil hero Karthi gets into the skin of the character and director Vamshi Paidipally comes up with a supremely sensible film that has many soulful and breathtaking moments in it.
What is it about?
Vikramaditya (Nag) is a filthy rich entrepreneur who has thousands of crores, but he is a paraplegic. He needs to find a caretaker to take care of everything about him. Sreenu (Karthi) is a spoiled brat and thief who come out of jail on parole. He has to prove to the judges that he could be well behaved to get out from trouble. He takes up the caretaker job of Vikramaditya and how they influence each other's lives is what this film is about.
Performances:
Nagarjuna: No words to describe Nagarjuna's courage to take up such a character. He is superb as the paraplegic billionaire. Despite being in the wheel chair all the time, the charm of Nagarjuna is present all the time.
Karthi: Karthi is a very good choice for this character. He gets into the skin of the character and lives every moment of it. The result is the finest performance ever in his career so far.
Tamanna and Others: Tamanna is elegant and suave in her role. She is very good with her expressions too. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha add value to the proceedings. All the actors are aptly cast and delivered their best.

Run is a remake of Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Neram which was appreciated by niche audience and critics. Run is a faithful remake of the original that is almost a frame to frame presentation of the original. Run has few positives such as its short run time and interesting second half. But the film also has its share of negatives like leisure passing and too many uninteresting passages in between the thrilling ride.

Sanju (Sundeep) life goes topsy-turvy as he loses his job. He takes loan from a dreaded loan shark named Vaddi Raju (Bobby Simha). He is very notorious and has his own style of getting back his money. Finally the day arrives where Sanju has to return the money he took from Raju. While Sanju's friend helps him to get the amount, a thief nabs the money from Sanju and run away. Sanju has to find a way to repay the loan by 5 PM. Meanwhile his girlfriend (Anisha) is kidnapped by Raju for another reason.
Performances:
Sundeep Kishan is good as the common man who is caught in a situation. His subtle body language and dialog delivery suited the character. Anisha is pretty. Bobby Simha is a revelation. He is too good as the villain. Brahmaji as a comedy cop is decent. Praveen, Madhu and Posani were fine in their supporting characters. Mahat is alright as a careless guy.
Technicalities:
Sai Karthik's musical score is mediocre. Dialogues are good. Cinematography is fairly decent and editing is crisp. Director Ani Kanneganti is religiously faithful to the original. He didn't even make an attempt to alter anything from Neram. He did an okay job in holding the film well. Production values are neat.

Movie gets interesting when two thieves rob the hero and heroine in two different places. It loses steam due to the uneven characterization of the villain. The attempts at comedy were misfired due to bad casting. Run only gets back on track when a surprising twist comes just before the climax.
Run is a film that will appeal to audience who look for freshness, but it has its shortcomings. It could have been a good film if there were better comedic moments and thrilling elements thrown into the narrative. The attempt can be lauded but not the end product. You may watch it if you are game for something different from the usual.

One significant thing during the launch of 'Sardar Gabbar Singh' was that Pawan Kalyan made no reference to director Bobby or laud the latter’s efforts for the movie.
Neither did he take time out to compliment the unit of the film including music director Devi Sri Prasad or anyone else for that matter.
The only people who figured in Pawan’s praise were Chiranjeevi, the distributors Eros International and producer Sharat Marar who pumped in the money for the project.
Also conspicuous by their absence were Bandla Ganesh and Harish Shankar, the producer and director of ‘Gabbar Singh’. But for their contribution as well, ‘Gabbar Singh’ would not have been such a huge hit and led to the sequel today. Apparently, they did not get an invitation to the audio launch of Sardar.
Tollywood star heroes and directors are making Telugu-Tamil bilinguals of late to enlarge Telugu cinema market. Ace director SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series is also made as bilingual, but the film’s two lead cast Prabhas and Rana Daggubati are Telugus. So, for his next film, Rajamouli is planning to rope in a Tamil hero to feature in his film.
Buzz is that, Rajamouli is willing to make a multistarrer movie with NTR and Suriya, after wrapping up Baahubali: The Conclusion. Both the stars are enthusiastic to work with the ace filmmaker and expressed their wish several times at public platforms.
Suriya at a public event announced that, he is ready to play even a cameo role in Baahubali. On the flip side, NTR who already worked for three films Student No 1, Simhadri and Yamadonga with Rajamouli is longing to associate with him one more time.
Rajamouli recently affirmed that, Baahubali 3 will be made with different subjects and Prabhas, Rana will not be part of the project. So, chances are there for NTR and Suriya to star in the project.
Until, Rajamouli announces, the NTR and Suriya starrer multistarrer is just a speculation. Nonetheless, it will be delights for fans of both the stars, if the movie materializes.

Mohan Lal Shocks Janatha Garage Producers
When Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of NTR‘s Janatha Garage, amounts that veteran Malayalam star Mohanlal will be playing a crucial role in the film, fans and even normal moviegoers were thrilled to see the NTR-Mohanlal combo on screen.
But now, Mythri Movie Makers producers themselves are in a big shock. Prior to Mohanlal’s entry in Janatha Garage, the national award winning actor was reportedly offered Rs. 1.5 crores and the film’s Malayalam rights as his renumeration.
Apparently, the producers thought that the film won’t fetch more than 1.5 crores for the Malayalam distribution rights. Mohanlal later shocked the producers by selling the Malayalam rights for close to 4.5 crores. This leaves the actor with a cool 5.5 crores in his pocket.
Mohanlal is the biggest superstar in Mollywood, and he has the credit of scoring the all-time Malayalam industry hit, Drishyam, and commands an unbeatable box-office charisma. Looks like the makers at Mythri Movie Makers didn’t do their research thoroughly.

Unable to run the political party, JP said to have arrived at this conclusion. The movie, definitely, come as huge shocker to many as JP is regarded as tough man and on several occasions he himself stated that one needs patience in politics. A physician by training, a bureaucrat by profession, JP had quit his Indian Administrative Service to start Loksatta movement. Failing in politics could be considered as his first-ever failure in his entire life.
Kick started in 1996, Loksatta is a non-governmental organization and a non-partisan movement for democratic- political and governance- reforms in India. After bringing significant reforms across the nation in quick span of time and making big difference in people's lives. Its achievements include enactment of comprehensive Right to Information Act, 2005 where Loksatta played pivotal role in making it happen.
Due to its continuous efforts, the first Citizen's Charters with penalties for non-performance were introduced in Andhra Pradesh. Loksatta was keen on cleaning up the electoral process, decriminalizing politics and changing the nature of incentives in public office. While it was successful to an extent, JP floated a political party, Loksatta Party (LSP), on the same name of the NGO in 2006.
This in turn affected both the party and the ngo. Several intellectuals, celebrities who supported JP till then started distancing from him. Though JP fought all battles and even elected as MLA from Kukatpally constituency in 2009, nothing worked in favour of him or his party. He himself was defeated in 2014 general polls. Presently serving as party's national president, JP reportedly decided to quit politics and work as a NGO.

Though several names were there, JP was only popular public figure in the party which didn't work. Even when actors like Pawan Kalyan openly expressed admiration for JP's party and its ideology, the party's fortunes didn't change. Baahubali director SS Rajamouli, award-winning lyric writer Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry were few among the party sympathizers. Looks like, Loksatta Party has come to an end. Chiranjeevi attending as Chief Guest for Pawan Kalyan ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ audio launch was by itself a moment to celebrate for Mega Fans. After a very long time, Chiru and Pawan were seen sharing the same stage. It was of course an emotional moment for hardcore Fans and the way Mega Star vented out his feelings has touched every Fans heart.
‘I know the sincerity, hard work and dedication with which Pawan Kalyan worked towards his career. His determination gained him the identity of what he is today. I was a little upset and confused from last two to three days hearing the news about Pawan Kalyan planning to quit films in next two years. My genuine advice for Pawan is, please don’t take such decisions which hurts the Fans.
God blessed us with lakhs and crores of Fans. I know that you have stepped on a different (political) platform. But, you are capable of doing ‘Jodu Sawari.’ So, do act in films and I am confident that you will reach on top in your other selected field also. Do not break the hearts of Fans. Official teaser of the movie is released yesterday in the hands of Dasari Narayana Ramo amidst the presence of Trisha and other casting.
First look of the teaser makes it clear that Trisha is playing the central title character and there’s lot of comedy imbibed into this thriller. Trisha of course exhibited killing expressions when she is butchering the antagonist and Govi created a terrific set up in the most familiar villa backdrop. Sathyam Rajesh is as usual a comic relief. On the other side, Trisha’s traditional styling sensed something different. All in all, ‘Nayaki’ showed some promising sense in the teaser.

Ace director SS Rajamouli is fondly called as Jakkanna by close friends. ‘Pawan Kalyan is like a god for me. Everyone knows how much I admire him. I played many skits in Jabardasth showing Pawan as god and me as his devotee. In fact, Pawan sir called me in personnel and offered the character in ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh.’ He was so jovial on sets and it’s my good fortunes that I spent one month with him in shooting. I used to sing songs for him and also cooked Chepala Pulusu which he liked. I am a very punctual artist and none of the producers have complained about me in this aspect. If I performed a scene poorly, Pawan sir used to warn me for betterment but he never slapped me. I never intervened into the works of others,’ Shankar tried to give clarity for controlling the damage.
Hebah Patel in Varun Tej, Srinu Vytla Movie
‘Kumari 21 F’ and ‘Ala Ela’ fame Hebah Patel is on a golden patch. As per the reports flown in from film circles, Hebah is confirmed as heroine besides Varun Tej for the project yet to be started in Srinu Vytla direction. Although Rakul Preet Singh was thought of as heroine for this flick which is to be produced by Nallamalupu Bujji and Tagore Madhu, this last moment development is really stunning.

Multi talented artist Kalabhavan Mani’s death few days back gave rise to many doubts on suspicions surrounding his farm house. As per a report from chemical laboratory, the death is confirmed as unnatural as there was presence of methyl alcohol and phosphate insecticide traced in liquor samples. Even post mortem report said the same.
As we do know, Mani was rushed to a hospital in Kochi on March 6 when his body was found lying unconscious in backyard of his farmhouse. On a complaint filed by Mani’s brother Ramakrishnan, police began the investigation and evidences are supporting the case of a possible murder.
Mani used to drink liquor with his three friends Vipin, Murugan and Arun. So, police arrested all the three. They have allegedly cleaned entire farm house after shifting Mani’s body to hospital. This made police to question them. Currently, they are kept in police custody and two more actors Jaffer Iduki, Tharikida Sabu are also in the suspects list. Well, Mani’s murder mystery is more thrilling than suspense based Malayalam movies.
