Sarrainodu Movie Review
With the season's first biggie Sardaar Gabbar Singh turning out to be an epic disappointment, fans and trade are heavily banking upon Sarrainodu to come to the rescue. Boyapati Srinu's decent track record and ever reliable Allu Arjun combining with Allu Aravind, one of the top producers of Telugu film industry, one would expect a minimum guarantee film. However, Sarainodu suffered a lot due to bad story and screenplay. Allu Arjun did his best to save this film from being a debacle, but even a star cannot help a lackluster script to be a blockbuster.
What is it about?
Gana (Allu Arjun) the son of Chief Secretary falls in love with local MLA (Catherine). When he decides to give up his rebellious attitude to marry her, in comes Maha (Rakul) with a big problem. Now Gana has to lock horns with blood thirsty, powerful criminal Dhanush (Aadi) to save Maha from the trouble. Who is this Maha and how is she linked to Dhanush? Why does she comes running to Gana for help?
Performances:
Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun has never attempted a full blooded massy entertainer in his career so far. Boyapati Srinu is particularly known for making mass masala films with heavy dose of violence and bloodshed. Allu Arjun effortlessly slips into the character. His bulked up body makes us believe that he has the raw power to kick and kill that many bad guys. Allu Arjun added his dose of comedy to the film with his antics and dialog delivery. Allu Arjun fans won't be disappointed with the film as the actor delivers a commendable performance all the way.
Aadi Pinishetty and Others: Boyapati is known for creating some of the powerful villains Telugu film audience have ever seen. We expect a lot when an actor of Aadi caliber is given the antagonist role. Aadi looks suave and stylish. However he is not as menacing as he should be. His character is not etched properly as it loses steam after a while.
Rakul Preeth is just okay. All she has to do is look admiringly at Allu Arjun whenever he is bashing the bad guys. Catherine is a miscast as the MLA. Brahmanandam's comedy is stale, so is Vidyullekha's. There are a lot of noted actors in the film but none makes an impression including Srikanth.
Technicalities:
Boyapati Srinu banks upon his strengths yet again. He didn't take Allu Arjun's image into consideration. He focused only upon presenting Allu Arjun in a mass avatar. He spent a lot of time on hero elevation shots and scenes. He didn't take much care about the script that goes haywire most of the times. Allu Arjun had to put things back on track whenever Boyapati goes off the mark.
Thaman's background score is powerful. Songs are good and are shot lavishly. Dialogues could have been better. Cinematography is top class. Editing is bad as the film drags on and on. Production values are one of the biggest assets to this film.
Thumbs Up:
Allu Arjun
Hero Elevations
Thumbs Down:
Uninteresting Script
Overdose Of Violence
Predictable Climax
Analysis:
A lot of buildup is given to the villain right from the first scene. We settle in expecting a tug of war between the villain and the hero. However hero is too powerful that any number of rowdies can't even pull out a button from his shirt. At least the director should have given the villain an upper hand for some time.
But nothing can stop the hero from whatever he does and wherever he wants to go. Even the villain looks like a mere puppet after a while. There is little depth in Boyapati's story that it struggles hard to keep going. Boyapati Srinu has included many fight scenes to keep the audiences interested.
All the stunts are choreographed in the same way. There is no variety and it gets hideous after some time. We expect a powerful climax because of the powerful villain, but all we are served is a run of the mill stuff that ends horribly predictable. There are few bright points about the film, but we cannot let this one pass off as a passable fare as there are so many more dark moments. Allu Arjun's spotless performance is the main highlight of this Boyapati's bland and boring mass masala offering.
Verdict: Not 'Saraina' Attempt!

One of the most awaited flicks of the summer season, ‘Sarrainodu’ is hitting the screens worldwide today. With premiere and benefit shows in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana states put off at the last moment due to police and security reasons, audience and Mega Fans are running to the nearest screens to watch the action entertainment offered by Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu.
‘Sarrainodu’ is a special film because Geetha Arts produced the product on a massive budget and took the output so seriously. SS Thaman’s songs score helped the movie to an extent in grabbing the pre release buzz and the action packed trailer was full of goose bumps. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are doing the female leads while Rishi Punjabi’s camerawork is said to be the best technical aspect.
Anyways, ‘Sarrainodu’ is hitting nearly 2000 screens with all the South Indian states targeted heavily. Stay tuned to CJ for an early and honest review.
n yet another turn in Roja suspension arguments, Supreme court today asked Roja to apologize for her comments and absurd behavior in AP Assembly that compelled the house suspend her for one year. SC suggested Roja to write an apology letter to speaker and once again made it clear that house has all the powers to suspend her for her unwanted acts.
Supreme Court refers to an example of how Sisupaludu was forgiven by Lord Krishna for his 100 mistakes and asks both the parties to understand the situation. Justice Arun Mishra and Gopala Gouda opined that this happened due to lack of experience and understanding and suggested them to put the scuffle down for the sake of public benefits.
Court finds fault with Roja's version of apologizing only when she will be allowed to enter Assembly and further arguments were postponed for next day.
On the other side, Roja claims to have been asked for explanation on whole episode, but not apology. Roja denies having personal quarrel or hatred towards Chandrababu, but claims to have been suspended when she was raising concerns on social problems. The loud mouth MLA is ready to give an explanation and wants everyone to work for development of state. -

In a barbaric act, the dreaded terrorists of the ISIS shot dead as many as 250 women in northern Iraq for refusing to become their sex slaves.
The girls are from Mosul, which is under the control of ISIS. They were given a choice of temporary marriage or death. The detractors of ISIS call this Sex Jihad. Most women, belonging to Kurdish community, refused to become sex slaves.
Kurdish tribes, who have been fighting the ISIS, said that women's modesty and rights were being widely outraged by the ISIS terrorists. Woman can neither go out alone nor can chose their spouses.
This is not the first incident of women being forced to become sex slaves. Earlier, 18 women from Mosul were killed in August last year. Some 500 Yazidi women were sexually abused for months after they were captured from Sinjar region

With less than 24 hours left, the entire Tollywood is awaiting the release of Allu Arjun's 'Sarrainodu'. The film promises to be a high-end action entertainer and generated exceptional buzz about the film. This film's success is need of the hour for some members in the team.
Rakul Preet Singh , the film's leading lady, is in need of a genuine hit now. Most of the big films she acted like 'Bruce Lee' and 'Kick2' ended up as disasters. Her latest flick 'Nannaku Prematho' turned out to be an average one. Now, she needs a massive hit to stay in the top league.
Film's music composer Thaman needs a good hit as his recent outings 'Bruce Lee' and 'Dictator' turned out to be flops. Also, his tunes are often criticized for being monotonous. Even 'Sarrainodu' album lacks chartbuster songs and if the film succeeds, only then can he stand strong against the DSP tidal wave.
Some of the other team members like Aadi Pinisetty, who is yet to make his mark in Tollywood and Boyapati Sreenu, who needs to prove that he can score success even with young heroes, are also praying for the success of 'Sarrainodu'.
Above all, this film is a very important one for Bunny who is looking for a mass hero image. The film did huge pre-release business on par with films like 'Srimanthudu' and 'Sardaar'. If the film gets positive talk on Day One, it becomes another 'Srimanthudu' and if not, it may turn out as another 'Sardaar'. Let us hope for the best.

Looks like Sreenu Vaitla's troubles aren't over. The star director who was in prime demand at a time is now struggling to find takers.
Back to back disasters with Aagadu and Bruce Lee have damaged his stardom and credibility as a director. After being turned down by few mid range heroes, Vaitla settled with Varun Tej, the youngest hero from the mega clan.
Varun Tej who has done mostly experimental to date wanted to do a wholesome family entertainer and decided to go with Sreenu Vaitla.
Varun liked the storyline narrated by Vaitla and the producers also talked with Regina and Hebah Patel for the heroine roles. The project was tentatively titled Mister, but somehow it didn’t hit the floors yet.
When we tried to find out the details for the delay we came to know that Varun Tej isn’t impressed with the way the script has shaped out.
Sreenu Vaitla couldn’t come up with a convincing screenplay and Varun Tej isn’t willing to take a chance with half baked script. He asked the director to come up with a better version and if Vaitla fails to do so, then Mister has high chances to be put on the backburner, said sources.
Actress Catherine Tresa, known for her work in films like "Madras" and "Rudhramadevi", says she felt a lot of positive vibes while working on forthcoming Telugu actioner "Sarrainodu".
"Right from the beginning, there was positivity on the sets of this project. It was a lovely vibe. This is the best experience I've had on a Telugu project," Catherine told IANS.
In the film, she plays a legislator, and her look was completely designed by director Boyapati Srinu.
"My director did the most of the homework. As an MLA, you are expected to look and dress in a certain way. He didn't want it to be formulaic, yet kept the look authentic. He had such a grip on the character, he even chose the jewellery and costumes," she said.
Ask her why she chose to play a legislator, a role usually offered to senior heroines, Catherine said she likes to do "different" things.
"I easily get bored when I have to play the same kind of roles. This role is just as old as me. I really liked the vision my director had for this character, which is quite different from anything I've done so far," she said, adding she thoroughly enjoyed playing the character.
"If I don't enjoy the role I play, how will audience enjoy it," she asked.
The film stars Allu Arjun and this is Catherine's second film with him.
Having worked with Arjun three years ago in "Iddarammayilatho", she feels he has evolved as an actor.
"You learn and grow with every film. In the case of Arjun, I think he has evolved as a performer. While he has mostly played stylish and classy roles, he plays a character with a lot of mass appeal in this film," she said, adding it was a delight to match steps with him.
"When you dance with Arjun, the bar is set so high that you need to really push yourself to match up to him. Nevertheless, it's always fun to dance with him," she added.
Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and Aadi Pinisetty, the film is slated to release on Friday.

Actress politician Roja has been hitting headlines since her suspension from AP Assembly and now due to sequences post that episode, her non political path is about to witness a major change. Roja has been one of the judges for most popular and controversial comedy show, Jabardasth.
Now, the makers of Jabardasth are planning to replace Roja and Nagababu with some other celebrities of equal fame. There seems to be different reasons for these changes and one of them is Roja's 6 lakh rupees remuneration for a show. On the other side, it is heard that TDP leaders were trying since long to sideline Roja from that show and their pressure might be one of the prime reasons too.
Jabardasth is loosing its popularity and TRPs due to repeated content, pale skits and increasing number of double entendre. With long term judges Naga Babu and Roja, the show is no longer enthralling and there is nothing they could make the show more entertaining. So the makers Mallemala production Syam Prasad Reddy and channel organizers are heard to be in plans to bring new faces.

Pawan Kalyan’s answer at a recent interview about his new avatar of turning a story and screen writer for ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ just for earning money has made Fans and common audience to remain in a dire shock. Yes, Pawan is passing through a weak financial phase unable to meet his monthly maintenance expenses. We have heard in enough occasions on how Pawan used to spend his money like water helping his friends and family members. All this would have pushed Pawan into a piteous situation.
An awakened Pawan Kalyan is now running behind money. He is reported to have pocketed Rs.20 Crores from ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’ by becoming a production partner with friend Sharat Marar. As per fresh updates, Pawan will continue and stick to same job for rest of his upcoming movies. For SJ Suriya directing AM Rathnam flick or Trivikram directorial with Haarika- Hassine Creations project or even for Dasari Narayana Rao’s new venture, Pawan and Sharat Marar are going to be the production partners.
Irrespective of the commercial verdict for these future movies, Pawan Kalyan will take home a very big amount to free his money centered tensions. Hopefully, he will continue only as a hero, production partner and do not finger in story, script or direction for better Box Office results.
Tollywood folks used to gaga over milky beauty Tamanna. Even heroes double her age expressed their wish to romance Tamanna on screen. Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and many other senior heroes were awestruck by Tamanna’s natural beauty.

With so many top celebs falling for her, Rashi is likely to bag biggies in no time. All she needs is one offer from a big star and the rest will follow. Rashi is pinning hopes on Supreme to take her to the next level.
Pratyusha suicide Latest news
Hours after popular television actress Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on April 1, Friday, several shocking speculations started making rounds in B-town. Not only was Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh’s name all over tabloids and news channels but so was his former girlfriend, Saloni Sharma’s.
The whirlwind of debate that Pratyusha’s suicide caused, took Saloni Sharma along with it. Rahul Raj Singh’s former girlfriend Saloni Sharma got broadly accused for causing a rift between Rahul and Pratyusha. Now after a long time, Saloni has broken her silence over the issue.
In her interview to a daily, Saloni Sharma admits that she did assault Pratyusha and Rahul Raj Singh in February but it was a reaction from her side after the two physically assaulted her.
In her account, Saloni mentions visiting Rahul at his Kandivli flat on 11th February, where he was living with Pratyusha, to ask for her pending money. Upon arriving at the appartment, Pratyusha and Rahul assaulted Saloni before kicking her out of the flat. This led to another episode of outburst below Rahul’s flat, where Saloni humiliated the two before lodging a complaint of ‘assault and cheating’ against Rahul and Pratyusha with the Bangur Nagar police station.
However, later Rahul and Pratyusha requested Saloni to withdraw the charges against them. To avoid media attention, she was also advised by the Bangur Nagar police officers, who are currently handling Pratyusha’s suicide case, to take her complaint back, upon which, Saloni withdrew her complaint.
In 2011, Saloni came to Mumbai from Kolkata and met Rahul, who had an event management company and wanted Saloni to come on board. Later, the two also launched another company. The two who started out as business partners, later started dating each other. Over the years, Saloni invested over Rs 30 lakh in the business, which included her own earnings and her father’s. After coming face front about Rahul’s relationship with Pratyusha, Saloni and he had a fall out after which she quit the company. Saloni also claims that Rahul hasn’t yet paid her the money he owes her.
Saloni also reveals how she called up the police the very next day of Pratyusha’s death to record her statement and provide all kind of help from her side. Rahul’s former girlfriend states that the reason why she kept quiet for so long is because she didn’t want to take advantage of someone’s death to seek publicity. But since people who don’t even know her or have never met her are making absurd comments about her by calling her “that woman”, Saloni says she was forced to break her silence on the issue.
Saloni is also in her very right mind to fight back the “baseless allegations” and file defamation cause against those who accused her of driving a rift between Rahul and Pratyusha and leading the latter to her death.
Saloni also claims that Rahul, who was in a relationship with her for 5 years, started dating Pratyusha Banerjee without her knowledge. She was also unaware about his previous marriage.
Pratyusha Banerjee, better known as Anandi for her role in popular TV serial Balika Vadhu, was found dead in her suburban home on April 1, Friday at around 5 pm. Her body was found hanging from the fan with a dupatta by Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and their cook.
Rahul informed the police and her uncle in Borivali about the death at around 6.30 pm. She was declared dead at Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri (west) late on Friday evening.
Rahul, who was booked by the Bangur Nagar Police for abetting Pratyusha’s suicide, got some relief from Bombay High Court on April 12. The High Court, which heard Rahul’s pre-arrest bail plea, retrained the police from arresting him on a surety of Rs. 30,000 and directed him to attend the police station everyday till April 18.
After the 24-year-old ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her flat in suburban Goregaon on April 1, a case under Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504, 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC was registered against Rahul on April 3 following a complaint lodged by the actress’ parents.

Police Movie Review
Police is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil Superstar Vijay's Theri. Directed by Atlee, this film is marketed by Dil Raju in Telugu states.
What is it about?
DCP Vijay Kumar (Vijay) kills the son of a politician as he commits a brutal crime. The politician comes back for revenge and kills Vijay's wife (Samantha) and his mother (Radhika). On his wife's last wish Vijay leaves his job and go to Kerala to take care of his daughter. However he couldn't hide for long. The politician comes to know about Vijay's whereabouts and comes back to have his revenge. Vijay has to put an end to this to live a peaceful life.
Performances:
Vijay is very impressive as the cop who does his duty on his own terms. There are quite a few emotional moments in the film where Vijay had to shed tears. He did well. Samantha is good and Amy is alright in a limited role. Radhika is natural. Prabhu is decent. Rajendran is funny at times. Mahendran's expressions are menacing.
Technicalities:
Atlee banked upon an age old script which turned out to be biggest drawback for this film. There are few moments where we get to see the flashes of brilliance from Atlee but the film falls flat on a whole.
Songs are not good. Background score is good in emotional scenes and over the top in action sequences. Cinematography is good. Editing could have been a lot better.
Thumbs Up:
Interval scene
Baby Nainika
Thumbs Down:
Routine Story
Uninteresting screenplay
Predictable
Poor Climax
Lengthy
Analysis:
Police is a formulaic film with revenge template. You can almost guess everything beforehand. There is no novelty in terms of any element in the film. Even the daughter and father relation reminds us of Ajith Kumar, Gautham Menon's Yenthavadu Gani. Everything about the film is cliched and beaten to death.
Interval block is pretty impressive. The movie totally goes off track after the death of Samantha character. Climax portions are outright silly. The run time of the film will put your patience to test. You will literally pray for the titles to rollover or simply walk out of it. Police is a boring revenge drama that has high doses of emotion.
Director wasted a lot of time on buildup shots and hero elevations that he had to fast forward the plot during the final scenes. This film may appeal to Vijay fans as the director has penned few scenes exclusively for them. There is nothing special about the film except for adorable baby Nainika's performance.
Verdict: This Police lacks Fizz.

Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam Movie Review
Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam is a remake of super hit Punjabi comedy. It is about the confusion that two friends create in order to impress their lovers. ERAR has a plot that is similar to many confusion comedies that we have seen in the past. However the comedy works and keeps us entertained throughout the film.
What is it about?
Arjun (Vishnu) falls in love with Neelaveni (Sonarika), who wants to marry an orphan. Arjun lies that he is an orphan and marries her. Neelavani rents an upper portion in a lawyer's (Rajendra Prasad) house. He is none other than Arjun's father. Arjun tries to save his marriage by introducing his friend Ashwin (Raj Tarun) to his father as Neelaveni's husband. Meanwhile Ashwin had to lie to his girlfriend Supriya (Hebah) and her brother about his background. The confusion plot thickens after that.
Performances:
Vishnu Manchu has always excelled in comedy entertainers. Comedy is his forte and he proves it yet again with ERAR. Vishnu is certainly at home in this film. Raj Tarun is as natural as always. In his first multi-starrer, Raj has complemented Vishnu and the chemistry between these two actors is one of the biggest plus points. Sonarika and Hebah's oozing oomph will please the masses. Rajendra Prasad is superb in the father role. Ravibabu is alright. Satya Krishna is good. Supreeth and Abhimayu Singh are their usual self. Sunil did a special appearance in the introduction song.
Technicalities:
G. Nageswara Reddy is one of the directors who can assure you of a decent product if he has a good enough script on hands. Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam is a paisa vasool entertainer that will offer some genuine laughs. Nageswara Reddy made complete use of the competent star cast. There are some unavoidable cliches but nonetheless ERAR is entertaining on a whole.
Dialogues are witty. Songs will appeal to the masses. Sai Karthik's background score is fine too. Cinematography is neat. Editor did well to keep it simple and crisp. Production values are impressive.
Thumbs Up:
Vishnu-Raj Tarun's Chemistry
Rib-tickling Comedy
Witty Dialogues
Sonarika, Hebah's Glam Show
Thumbs Down:
Routine Story
Cliched moments
Analysis:
Confusion dramas like these are not new to our audience. The story of ERAR might not be out-of-the-box one but it's the treatment that changed the course and made the film complete entertainer. Right from the word go, the movie tries to tickle the funnybones of viewers. There are several laugh-out-loud moments that will definitely strike a chord with the mass audience. The comedy gets better as the story moves forward. Interval block is hilarious to the core.
Second half follows the formula and offers passable entertainment all the way. You may easily watch this film once for its fun moments and the performances from the main characters. Some comedy parts lacked the punch, but the film gets back on track with a hilarious scene whenever it goes off the mark for a while.
Barring few cliched moments and double entendres, ERAR is a paisa vasool comedy with hilarious moments and genuinely funny dialogues. This might work well with B and C centres. Audiences who love to watch comedies will surely like this fun-tastic confusion drama.
Verdict: Navvinche Rakam
