Supreme A Sleeper Hit!

Young mega hero Sai Dharam Tej's recently released movie Supreme is performing well at box office even in week days, although the movie got mixed response. The mass action entertainer film directed by Anil Ravipudi is picking up slowly and it is turning out to be a sleeper hit.

As per trade analysts, Supreme has recovered most of the budget and since no big film will be releasing until the arrival of Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam on May 20th, the Dil Raju production venture is expected to rake fancy figures in next few days. According to Supreme team, the movie has collected around Rs 12 crore shares worldwide for 6 days and running towards easy break-even. This indeed is highest opener for Sai Dharam Tej.

After delivering blockbuster with Pataas, director Anil Ravipudi made Supreme as a family entertainer. But, the second film is rather tedious in places. Although the movie has sufficient entertainment, regular and routine story has played the spoilsport.

If Anil had taken more care on script, Supreme would have become a massive hit. Nonetheless, the makers are pleased with the film's performance at box office.

4 Telugu NRIs Caught In Visa Scam

A couple and two other Indian Americans have been charged with conspiracy of H-1B visa fraud and they approximately earned $17 million gross profits and $3.3 million in net profit just in a span of 5 years from 2010 to 2014.

Venkat Guntipally and his wife Sunitha allegedly own two employment staffic organisations, DS Soft Tech and Equinett. Another Pratap Kondamoori owns a similar company called SISL networks and his sister Sandhya Ramireddy is operations manager and HR for all these three companies.

They were charged with an indictment alleging their action and participation in submitting more than 100 fraudulent applications for H-1B specialty occupation work visas. They were charged with mail fraud, false statements, visa fraud and witness tampering.

The indictment says that they submit for H-1B applications to place those foreign workers in specific companies in US, which neither existed or did not want any foreign workers named in applications of defendants. They allegedly submitted more than one hundred additional fraudulent applications for foreign workers in 5 years -

'SSS' To Become Another 'Courier Boy'?

Naga Chaitanya's much awaited project 'Saahasame Swaasaga Saagipo' is waiting to get out of the box from a very longtime. But, the makers did not announce the release date of the film. Coming from ace director Gautam Menon, this film has generated a very good buzz. By looking at the hindrances for this film, this film too may eventually end up like 'Courier Boy Kalyan' says the insiders.

'Courier Boy Kalyan' was started long back under Gautam Menon's production but due to financial troubles, the film was kept on hold for two years. After a lot of struggle, the film was released last year but it was a colossal failure and many complained that delays were instrumental in its failure. Now Chaitanya's 'Saahasame Swaasaga Saagipo' is facing same kind of problems. Though the film is in the news for its songs and teasers, insiders feel that these problems may effect the quality of the product.

Hope that it doesn't happen and Chaitu-Gautam Menon combo delivers another 'Ye Maya Chesave' kind of hit again. -

Charan, Just Forget What Chiru Said!

Gang Leader was a trendsetter and a special movie in Chiranjeevi's career, that pushed him to thenext level of stardom. Few movies have that luck of having best in all departments and Gang Leader was sure one of them. As the movie completed 25 years of release, fans have been celebrating and so are Chiru and Charan.

Ram Charan came up with dubsmash video of Chiru's famous dialogue in Gang leader and recalled his childhood memories of dancing for its superhit numbers. Chiru too lost in memories from the time of Gang Leader, but came out expressing his wish to see Ram Charan in that commercial blockbuster remake. Not just Chiru, but Sai Dharam Tej too opined that only Ram Charan has that right to be in Gang Leader remake.

Well, keeping the rights and possibilities aside, Chiru's idea of making a reboot version of yesteryear's superhit movie is not liked by many movie lovers. Be it a classic or commercial potboiler, some movies remain great only if they were kept untouched with remake intentions.

When Chiru's superhit songs from best time of his career are brought to present movies of Ram Charan and Sai Dharam, the new musicians failed to recreate that essence and disappointed fans to core. And when Chiru is expecting Ram Charan to reprise his role in Gang leader movie itself, it becomes the biggest blunder and it stays as bad as their attempt and experience in burning hands with remake of Zanjeer. So, Chiru might be expecting his son to become a 'Gang Leader', but it is Charan who must forget Chiru's wish and leave the movie as it is, evergreen! -

It is known that Jadavpur university female students alleged that ABVP men molested them during the screening of controversial film 'Buddha in a Traffic Jam'. Now ABVP leader Suman Dutta comes back saying that Jadavpur girl students cannot be molested , as they have no shame.

Blaming them for their kissing in public and stating their allegations as 'unnecessary drama', ABVP leaders asked crowds in public march whether they will be willing to see their daughter kissing men in open like JU girl students. They even went ahead saying that these women students taught to wear just underwear and asked them if they would allow their daughters to do all they did now.

ABVP members tried to enter Jadavpur University campus on Monday before police stopped them. ABVP West Bengal secretary Subir Halder said that leftists, students, teachers and a section of non teaching staff have made the campus into a hub for anti national activities and threatened to chop their legs if they try to step out of premises.

Adding fuel to the wide-spread speculations that she is dating a young hero, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has stated something that would boost rumour mongering. When questioned about her relationship status on the sidelines of a press conference, Samantha Ruth Prabhu quickly replied, "I'm not single. Who said am single?" However, Sam tried to pass it off as a joke.

Basking in the success of 24, Samantha is keeping her fingers crossed for her upcoming films Brahmotsavam and A..Aa. Sam is all praise for Mahesh and Brahmotsavam which features an ensemble cast. Samantha says that each and every character in the film has a significance.

Venky To Sail With Two Flop Birds

Victory Venkatesh who is presently shooting for Maruthi directing film Babu Bangaram will next join hands with director Puri Jagannadh who is struggling with flops. This new film will be produced by MS Raju who is out of action for long time since his last few production ventures were debacles at box office.

Puri Jagannadh once made super hit films is failing to deliver a commercial hit for long time. Irrespective of results, stars are giving him chances. However, Puri is not utilizing them rightly. Pokiri that released way back in 2010 was last considerable blockbuster from Puri. In the meantime, he made almost dozen films out of which Businessman and Temper were mediocre hits. Student Writes Letter To KCR, Commits Suicide

A poor student gave up her life in struggle to get into a government job after lot of pains she faced qualify for an exam. A M.Sc student Prameela wrote a suicide letter addressing Telangana CM KCR asking for his interference in changing the TET exam pattern which is obstructing hundreds of careers.

After her father died due to ill health some years back, Prameela's mother had to push the limits to meet the ends and also earn enough for daughter's education. Prameela wanted to become a support to her mother and she completed her degree and B.Ed. Prameela started preparing for TET to become a teacher and mathematics in TET entrance examination troubled her a lot, as she was a student of Bio science, who will not get to touch Mathematics subject after tenth standard.

Giving up after finding it tough to pass through TET, only because of mathematics questions, Prameela attempted suicide after consuming Super Vasmol 33 Kesh Kala. She was moved in critical condition to Hyderabad hospital, where she died. -

Faded comedian Venu Madhav approaches police to file complaint against few news channels and websites for publishing his death rumors without confirming any facts. Venu Madhav has been to Kushaiguda police station this morning and reportedly looked much angry on his death rumors.

A Telugu TV channel and few native websites published articles on Venu Madhav's death, before they checked it with facts. The comedian is heard to be venting fumes for different unwanted rumors on his health and family since sometime. He looked stubborn and wanted to find a point where all these rumors are taking a start. Police too were looking into the published articles and telecast stories.

Venu Madhav reportedly showed his photos of recent Tirumala visit and wonders why anybody is interested in declaring him dead. Recently, Tamil star comedian Senthil too came out claiming he is very much alive, after hearing his death rumors all over.

Mega Heroine Leaves It To Her Mother!

Niharika Konidela, the first-ever heroine from the mega family which had introduced several top film stars to the Telugu film industry, has left it to her mother to decide about her marriage.

Reacting on her personal life and career on the occasion of the release of her first film, Niharika says she is a little tense about her debut film.

If there is a negative feedback for the film, it will affect not only her personally, but also the mega family; and it would definitely be an embarrassing for her.

She doesn’t mind it will have an impact on her personal career, but she will feel bad if the mega family has to bear the brunt of the criticism,

At present, Niharika has not okayed any second film. She gives full credit to her parents in her becoming a heroine. She says her parents have given her full freedom in every aspect, particularly education and career, though they had own their desires and goals.

However, she says she gives total freedom to her parents in selecting her groom. And she makes it clear that she will stop acting soon after her marriage.

“As a home maker, my mother is a role model for me. Like her, I too will spend my time in grooming my children and taking care of my family,” she said.

By saying that she would stop acting in films after marriage, Niharika inadvertently conveyed that she might act in a few movies!

Devi's Death Mystery Solved

The mystery death of engineering student Devi Reddy is finally solved. Police after going into deep investigation confirmed that she died due to injuries caused by road accident. Police commissioner Mahender Reddy revealed details to media.

Devi's parents expressed their doubts on her death due to road accident, but police after scientific and technical investigation derived it to be an accident for sure.

According to their analysis, Devi and Bharat simha Reddy were traveling in a car at early hours of May 2 and it hit a tree at Huda heights near Journalist colony in Jubilee hills. Devi was highly injured and died when she was being moved to hospital. The reason for accident is declared as drunk driving.

Police also questioned Devi's friends Sonali, Vicky, Prudhvi, Sushanth, Sai regarding the happenings on that day. They pulled the call data of Devi and Bharat Simha Reddy, and that says that they talked on phone for around 1460 times and exchanged 1600 pages of messages on Whatsapp.

That night when Devi died, Prudhvi, Sushanth, Sai and Vicky went to Nanakramguda for a party in one car and Sonali, Devi, Bharat Simha Reddy and Devi went there in another car. When everyone else returned in other cars, Devi and Bharatstarted in a car to Jubilee hills. Repeated calls from Devi's father at that time tensed them and they turned the vehicle towards huda heights. After sometime, they quarelled when Devi decided to walk and after few minutes, the car hit a tree, injuring Devi to death. -

Baahubali Turns Biggest Disaster

Rajamouli's visual wonder Baahubali is not a juggernaut anymore as it falls flat on face in its last release in Germany. Baahubali turned out to be a grand success everywhere it went and was expected to make wonders in German release too.

A Hollywood editor made some necessary edits to Baahubali to suit abroad release and the German distributors 'Splendid films' released it as 'Ich Bin Baahubali' on April 28th, which collected just 4,166 Euros (Not more than 3.2 lakh rupees) in its first week. The distributors expected it rule the box office for few weeks to make the money rain, like it did in other countries. But German audiences judgement says otherwise.

Many Indian films have been doing well at German box office and that made the distributors go for a huge bid on biggest hit in India, that finally looks inevitable for them to fall in great loss. -

Belgian woman molested by cab driver in Delhi

A 23-year-old Belgian woman was allegedly molested by a cab driver in the national capital on Saturday night.
In her complaint to police, the woman said she had booked the Ola cab from Gurgaon and during the journey the cab driver allegedly kissed her.

After stepping out of the cab near South East Delhi's C R Park area, she informed the police about the incident at around 10 PM, police said.

"We have received a complaint at C R Park Police Station and it is being probed," said DCP (South East) M S Randhawa.

The cab driver left the spot after dropping the woman near C R Park and police is looking out for him. Booking details are being checked to identify the driver and an FIR is likely to be registered in a few hours, police said.

It is yet to be ascertained whether the woman is a tourist or has been staying in the country for some time.

Nepal blames India for crisis

Nepalese Defence Minister Bhim Rawal on Saturday accused Nepal’s just-recalled envoy to India of trying to topple Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s government in Kathmandu.

With the move, Nepal’s internal politics has once again cast a shadow on its relations with India.

Kathmandu not only called off Nepalese President Vidya Devi Bhandari’s proposed visit to India, but also recalled its envoy to New Delhi, Deep Kumar Upadhyay, accusing him of working against the interests of Nepal. India, however, maintained that it had no role in the recent internal political developments in Nepal, but would keep watch on the evolving situation in the neighbouring country.

The twin moves by Kathmandu came shortly after Oli’s government in Nepal appeared to be threatened by a crack in the ruling coalition.

Though Oli survived the crisis for now, a section of political establishment in Kathmandu once again started blaming India for triggering instability in the neighbourhood.
Upadhyay was also accused of working with New Delhi for destabilising the Oli government.

“Envoys should follow government’s directives and maintain diplomatic decorum,” Rawal was quoted by PTI in a report from Kathmandu.

Reports in Nepalese media on Friday and Saturday indicated that Kathmandu’s envoy to New Delhi had opposed Oli government’s decision to call off the presidential visit to India. Bhandari was expected to commence her maiden visit to India as Nepalese president on Monday.
Apart from meeting her counterpart Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi, she was scheduled to visit Simhasth Kumbh at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

Upadhyay has been accused of being involved in toppling the government, breaching his jurisdiction without informing the government and visiting some western Nepal districts accompanying India’s ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, the PTI quoted Rawal, who is also a deputy prime minister.

Kamal Thapa, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Nepal, however, said that recall of Kathmandu’s envoy to New Delhi and cancellation of President Bhandari’s visit to India were not related.

Thapa, according to Himalayan Times published from Kathmandu, cited 4 main reasons for cancellation of the visit — recent political developments in Nepal, president’s scheduled engagement in the nation to present the government policy and programme at House, lack of preparations and a natural disaster in Ujjain.

Charan's Rigorous Workout For 'Thani Oruvan'

Actor Ram Charan is undergoing a special workout regime for his upcoming yet-untitled Telugu remake of last year's Tamil blockbuster "Thani Oruvan", which is currently on the floors and is being directed by Surender Reddy.

"He has dived head on into training himself for the role. HeAhas been training with an array of renowned fitnessAexperts for his role and has been diligently training in horse riding, apart from working on his stamina and physique with a strenuous weight training and cycling regime," a source close to Ram told IANS.

He plays an IPS officer in the film.

"The focus is on building a body that's strong as well as athletic and lean. While Ram has been trained in horse riding since his childhood, the actor is now taking it to an all new level, to be able to perform stunts while riding," he said.

Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and Aravind Swami, the film is currently being shot in Kashmir.

When Ganta Broke Down Before Chiru.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Higher Education Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who is considered to be a close associate of megastar Chiranjeevi, still feels emotional about his disassociation with Praja Rajyam Party.

He told ABN Andhra Jyothy channel in an interview that he virtually broke down while giving his resignation letter to Chiranjeevi. And the megastar, too, was in tears, while accepting his resignation.

“It was an emotional moment. I thought of quitting politics, after Praja Rajyam fiasco. But I continued because of Chiranjeevi. And before 2014 elections, I had no option but to join my parent party TDP,” he said.

And Chiranjeevi, too, took it easy. “He told me it was good that I am joining the TDP and not YSR Congress party. And he wished me all the best,” Ganta said, in an emotional voice.

Even now, Ganta and Chiranjeevi maintain very good relations, though TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu may not like it.

“After Naga Babu and Pavan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi likes me the most as his third brother,” Ganta said.

Hero cum MLA Caught Red-handed With Money

The elections heat has already caught on big-time in Tamil Nadu, with all the parties trying their best to woo the voters and gain supremacy in all possible ways. Needless to say, currency is flowing limitlessly and hundreds of crores of rupees are being exchanged from leaders to voters.

Already, officials have recovered nearly Rs. 80 crores unaccounted money from political leaders. In an unexpected incident, senior Tamil film star and President of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi R Sarathkumar was reportedly caught red-handed with Rs. 9 lakhs in his car. Sarathkumar apparently failed to produce proper evidence to prove that the money is duly accounted.

This time, Sarathkumar has joined hands with Jayalalithaa's AIADMK and is contesting from Thiruchendur constituency in the upcoming assembly elections. Incidentally, Sarathkumar was caught by the police officials in his own constituency today. The money recovered from the actor has been deposited in the Treasury. The polling will take place on May 16.

Lavanya will be seen in a very performance oriented role and will also sport a new look for the film. A debutante director who has assisted Karunakaran in the past will be directing this project. -

Loose-Tongued Director Paying Price?

Remember director Venu Sriram? Venu was the director who made his debut with Oh Siddharth-Shruti Haasan's Oh My Friend five years ago. While the film failed to meet the expectations, Sriram had to wait for four years to announce his next film. While Venu even launched his film Yevado Okadu with Ravi Teja and Dil Raju as producer, the film had ran into trouble even before it hit the floors.

It's learnt that Venu is one of the main reasons for the film not going to shooting floors. Apparently, Venu's loose-tongue resulted in the differences with Ravi Teja and it eventually led to the shelving of the project.

Though later on Venu was confident on doing a film with Nagarjuna, but going by the commitments lined-up for Nag, the film is not going to be any sooner it seems. Suriya's Time Travel Lost 9 Minutes

Suriya's best performance in time travel concept and Vikram Kumar's screenplay made 24 an interesting movie with great reviews all over. 24 has become huge and the makers have decided to make it even better.

24 is going to get a trim of 9 minutes from total run time of 2 hours and 40 minutes and this new version will be screened from afternoon shows of Saturday. As many mentioned that lengthy love track and second half are diluting the plot, they decided to cut some scenes.

Suriya waited a long time for a blockbuster and now 24 looks like the one. The star hero is making some good money out of 24 already and with decent reviews nationwide, remake rights too must be hitting big numbers for sure. The total budget of 24 is around 70 crores. -

Puri Grabbing Prestigious Projects

After two disasters like 'Jyothi Lakshmi' and 'Loafer', everyone expected Puri Jagannadh to slow down a bit. But this crazy director amazed everyone by announcing big films one after the other.

Recently, Puri started a film with Kalyan Ram and that film may hit the screens by the end of this year. On the occasion of 10 years for his iconic film 'Pokiri', he announced another film with Mahesh titled 'Jana Gana Mana' and released the poster too.

This film is expected to start once Mahesh completes Murugadoss's project. Puri's film is expected to be Mahesh's landmark 25th film says the sources.

On the other hand, reports reveal that Puri narrated a story line to Venkatesh and he immensely liked the script. If everything goes as planned, Puri will be the director of Venkatesh's 75th film. Seems like, our stars believed that Puri can justify their prestigious films. -

Jabardasth Team Facing Court Trials

Jabardasth comedy show which is known for its fun and entertainment, is gaining unwanted attention and controversies. The team of Jabardasth comedy show attended Huzurabad sub court in Karimnagar on Friday in return to court summons issued few days back.

Pacha Madhu, Rocket Raghava, Chammak Chandra, Nageswara Rao, Phani and Shaking Seshu attended the sub court on Friday and lawyer Mukkera Raju represented producer Syam Prasad Reddy, Anasuya, Rashmi, Roja and Naga Babu.

A lawyer Arun Kumar filed a section IPC 500 case against Jabardasth team and show for their skits insulting the profession of law and court issued summons to a total of 22 members including judges Roja, Naga Babu and hosts Anasuya, Rashmi. The sub court judge adjourned the hearing to June 30th.

Hindi Film Screening Stopped Mid Way

n what could be said as a shocking incident, the screening of the Hindi film, Buddha in a Traffic Jam was stopped midway in Kolkata. This incident happened today evening when some angry students from the BJP held party stormed the Jadavpur University in Kolkata.

Things got so out of hand that the director ran for cover and hid in his car. The situation did not get into control as the mob started attacking his car. left with no choice, the director even tweeted for help.

The students union say that they opposed the film's portrayal of nationalism. Not only in Kolkata, the film was asked to stop even in Delhi where the film's main lead Anupam Kher was watching the show. Buddha in Traffic Jam is ready for a release for May 13th and is directed by Vivek Agnihotri -
