About 250 tourists, including 60 from Guntur and Prakasam districts, have got held up in Bangkok as the management of the hotel in which they checked in, seized their luggage and passports for failing to pay the rent.
According to information reaching here, 250 members of Rotary Club went to Bangkok to participate in a Rotary convention there. They went through a travel agency in Hyderabad. The convention concluded on Wednesday.
Their return journey is scheduled for May 11. When they tried to check out the hotel on Wednesday, the management seized their luggage and passports because the travel agency failed to pay the bill for their stay.
'We are deceived by the travel agency,' Nissar Ahmed, a Rotary Club member of Chilakaluripet, told over phone.
