Although YSR Congress party called for a
shutdown on Monday protesting the arrest of its
leader YS Jagan in the illegal assets case, the
bandh was not observed in many parts of the
state.
Except few protests, the overall situation remained
peaceful. Thanks to the tight security blanket and
prohibitory orders under Section 144 which are in
force in Hyderabad, Kadapa and other major
cities. This came as a rude shock to Jagan's men
who expected a revolt from people all over the
state following the arrest.
As the plan to spark a statewide stir foiled by the
cops, now the YSR Congress leaders have changed
their action plan. Jagan camp and his media is
trying to cash on the sympathy wave in few areas
where YSR Congress has got a strong hold. Sakshi is exclusively covering the reactions of Jagan's
loyalists and his supporters to prove that people have been supporting its leader in a big way.
Surprisingly, the reporters of Sakshi are also given orders to report the celebrations of Jagan opponents
over the arrest to gain sympathy. Will Jagan media succeeds in spreading this wave to the other parts of
the state? Let's wait and watch!
