Hyderabad,
June14: TRS senior leader and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao today called
upon the people to help eradicate corruption, which was destroying the
nation.
Speaking
to the media here on Thursday, Rama Rao said that there was a need to
initiate tough action against the corrupt whales. Recalling the social
activist Anna Hazare team member Kiran Bedi’s statement that Hyderabad
has become a centre of corruption, Rama Rao said that one should
estimate as how the condition of the State has turned.
KTR
said that credit of allotting house-sites to the Beedi workers goes to
TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao. He said that KCR, when he was the Union
Minister in 2004, had increased the scholarships given to Beedi workers
children. There was no increase later, he said. He reminded that KCR had
introduced pension schemes to the Beedi workers. He also alleged that
the successive governments had failed to show an alternative works to
the Beedi workers, who were facing health problems with the rolling work
of Beedis.
Rama Rao predicted that the Congress will be washed out in Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
