Hyderabad,
June 18: The Telangana Congress leaders on Monday lashed out at party
MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal for his hostile remarks on
Telangana statehood.
Former
minister and Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy questioned
Lagadapati on whose authority he was talking on Telangana issue. He said
that Lagadapati has no right to talk on Telangana statehood. Though two
ministers campaigned in the Parakala constituency in the Telangana
region, the Congress party failed to get even its deposit, he pointed
out.
Asserting
that he was committed to the Telangana statehood, Venkat Reddy alleged
that some TV channels were deliberately telecasting false stories about
his credentials.
MP
Gutta Sukhender Reddy appealed to the Seemandhra leaders to stop making
provocative statements and cooperate in formation of separate Telangana
State. Reacting to speculations about change of the Chief Minister,
Sukhender felt that Chief Minister’s post was not important to them and
formation of separate Telangana State was most priority one to them.
Sukendar
Reddy also condemned the alleged attack on MP Manda Jagannadham. He
said that they would complain to AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Chief
Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Lagadapati’s provocative comments.
