Gopichand had a dream run as hero after he switched to doing lead roles by staying away from negative characters. But banking too much on mass masala has made him monotonous and people started to ignore his movies. With this Gopichand was hit by a barrage of flops and is currently struggling hard to find form.
All the top directors of Telugu cinema are busy making films with A list heroes and Gopichand is not finding star directors to work with. So he roped in a Tamil director for his next and that move didn't work for him either. Bhupathi Pandiyan is known as a hot headed director and had fights with few of the big names of Kollywood.
Apparently Bhupati also had differences with Gopichand even before the first schedule was done and that film's shoot came to a halt. Gopichand was reportedly frustrated with the over action of the Tamil director who doesn't mind to explain the scenes to the hero at least. Hence he has been sacked. Now Gopichand called upon his friend Sri Vaas that directed Lakshyam with him and asked to take over the project. Currently talks are on and we have to wait and see if Sri Vaas directs the film with same subject or go for a new story.
