The film 'A Woman In Brammanism' stirred a controversy due to it's
objectionable content in the trailers released on Youtube. Brahmana
Aikya Vedika stepped into action immediately and given a representation
to chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy in protest against the film's
disrespectful content targeting the Brahmin community.
The state government has constituted a committee to review the film and submit a report on November 10. The committee headed by IAS Officer Sahani attended the screening of the film Today and suggested few changes to the producer. "We have asked the producer to remove the word Brahmmanism from the title and also insisted him to chop off few objectionable scenes, for which he readily agreed and also given a written statement. We will submit the report to the government within two days," says the committee member Chandravadhan.
With 'A Woman In Brahmanism' getting clearance, the makers are planning to release it anytime soon. This controversy has given a huge free publicity for the film and the openings are expected to be good.
