As we know, SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' was adjudged the 'Best Feature Film' at 63rd national awards. While Telugu print and electronic media boasted about the greatness of Rajamouli and 'Baahubali', a different response
of netigens is witnessed in social media. In fact, netigens appear to be the real judges as they are just common people who are not moved by any sort of politics.
Particularly fans of legendary directors K Viswanadh, Bapu and K Raghavendra are expressing their surprise for 'Baahubali's award. " Baahubali may be an outstanding film at visuals and the makers might have shelled in hundreds of crores on the project. But what message has the movie conveyed to the world? At least, does it have an ending? Whatsoever, let the movie be getting any award and no issues. But what about the films directed by K Viswanadh garu and Bapu garu? Their films were enriched with full of values. They proclaimed Telugu culture, tradition and heritage to the world through their films. Even today, movies like Shankarabharanam, Sagarasangamam, Swayamkrushi, Swathimuthyam, Seetha Kalyanam, Pelli Pusthakam are fondly remembered by the movie lovers. K Raghavendra Rao's movies like 'Annmayya' deserve to win national awards. Undoubtedly, injustice was done to the films of all these directors. May it be due to no lobbying done by the directors those days," say netigens.
Meanwhile, 'Baahubali' was conferred awards in two categories 'Best Feature Film' and 'Special Effects'. Varun Tej's 'Kanche' stood as the best film in regional films category
