During the times when he was alive, prominent Rayalaseema politician and TDP leader Paritala Ravi used to conduct voluntary mass marriages in a grand way through his trust. However, ever since his assassination in 2005, the mass marriages scheme was abandoned.
Now, after nearly 11 years of his demise, Paritala Ravi's son Paritala Sriram has revived his father's ambitious scheme with the help of his mother Paritala Sunitha and conducted 250 mass marriages today at their bastion Venkatapuram village.
None other than the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has graced the occasion to bless the newly married couples and congratulated the young leader. Noted ministers like Palle Raghunath, Kamineni Srinivas and several MLAs of Ananthapur district attended the event. -
