Hyderabad, Nov 11: All India Malis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has decided to withdraw support to the Congress government headed by Kiran Kumar Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. The party president and Parliament Member Asaduddin Owaisi has also announced on Monday that the party has decided to withdraw support to the UPA government at the Centre.

Addressing media after a meeting of his party's politburo here, he said the reason for the decision was Kiran Kumar Reddy government's support to the Sangh Parivar and help to BJP to strengthen itself in and around Hyderabad. He has alleged that the Congress government was 'licking the feet' of Sangh Parivar and harassing the Muslim community. He said he has already faxed a letter to the President of India, and meet him latter. He said he was also writing to the governor about withdrawal of support to the state government. When asked if his party would support a no-confidence motion against the government, he said that was not his party's priority now. The priority was to make the government come down and amend its follies.

Owaisi said Muslims in the state started facing troubles after Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy died and K Rosaiah took over as the Chief Minister. He said he did not think that the government of Kiran Kumar Reddy was secular. If Kiran was thinking that no one was observing him like the proverbial cat closing its eyes while drinking milk he was wrong. He said people were observing his actions.

Claiming that MIM and Muslim voters have played a key role in bringing Congress to power 2004 and 2009 elections, Owaisi has said during the past 3 years there were raids on Muslims in Siddipet, Miryalaguda, Sangareddy and Adoni. Instead of doing justice to the victims, he said Kiran government has arrested innocent Muslims. In Sangareddy, though it was a common knowledge that the local MLA was responsible for the communal riots, Muslim youth were targeted. He said none involved in the riots was arrested because the riots were organized by the local MLA.

Owaisi said even in cases like Sabji Mandi, Madannapet riots and the latest incidents concerning the extension of Bhagya Lakshmi temple abutting the historic Charminar, Kiran government chose to side with the Sangh Parivar. He has charged the government of disconnecting the telephones of MIM MLAs apart from arresting them unnecessarily. He has also charged that all the local Urdu TV cable connections were snapped to block his press conference. He has thanked the Telugu TV channels for telecasting his press conference live.

Owaisi said in several parts of the state, particularly in Srikakulam, cattle meant for sacrifice on the occasion of Bakrid were seized by the authorities at the instance of Sangh Parivar.

He said though he has about harassment of Muslims to the Chief Minister several times,  he has not responded.

When asked if he would now ally with the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Owaisi has admitted that Jagan was his friend. He has also said that Kiran was also once his good friend. He said he has however chosen to act this way.

Hyderabad, Nov 12: YSR Congress official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu has said that with the withdrawal of the support of MIM, the Kiran Kumar Reddy has government lost its majority in the Assembly and has no moral right to continue in office even for a minute.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, he said the TDP which has earlier moved a no-confidence motion when the Congress party had strength,  should do it now, if it had not colluded with the ruling party. He said the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu should clearly state his stand now. He has sarcastically said that Congress has possibly received signals that Chandra Babu Naidu would not move a no-confidence motion and this was possibly the reason for the PCC chief stating that the government faced no danger.

YSR Congress MLA Gadikota Srikant Reddy has questioned why Chandra Babu Naidu has taken the responsibility of saving the Kiran government. He said if Naidu felt that this was an anti-people government, he should immediately move a no-confidence motion.

Hyderabad, Nov 7: Tension prevailed in the Osmania University campus here Wednesday after students clashed with police during the funeral procession of a youth who committed suicide for a separate Telangana state.

Violence broke out in Tarnaka near the campus as students, who wanted to carry the body in a procession to Gun Park near the state assembly, clashed with the police.

As they were prevented from taking out a procession, the students threw stones at police personnel, who retaliated by firing teargas shells.

Police also resorted to baton charge near English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) and a B.Ed. college on the campus to disperse the protesting students.

Amid tight security, the police later shifted the body of V. Santosh to an ambulance and sent it to his native village in Adilabad district, around 300 km from here.

Frustrated over the delay in the formation of a separate Telangana state, Santosh committed suicide, leading to the tension.

Santosh, a degree student of a college in the city, hung himself from a tree in front of the Arts College in Osmania University, which has been witnessing violent protests for three years over the statehood issue.

The student resorted to the extreme step Tuesday night. He left behind a suicide note, blaming "ruling classes" for creating hurdles in the formation of a Telangana state.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convener M. Kodandaram visited the campus to pay tributes to Santosh and appealed to the students not to sacrifice their lives.

Osmania University students' Joint Action committee called for a shutdown of all educational institutions in Telangana.

The university postponed all examinations scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

Over 600 people, mostly youth, have committed suicide in the last three years demanding a separate Telangana state.

Washington, Nov 7: Indian Americans have welcomed the re-election of President Barack Obama saying his administration has delivered and victory is good for the community and India both.

"Obama's victory is very good for the Indian American community and India," Thomas Abraham, founder president of Global organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) told.

"The Asian American community, and in particular Indian Americans, has a high presence in his administration as political appointees and this trend will continue," he said.

"When Obama went to India, he gave a surprise by endorsing India as a permanent member of the UN Security Council," Abraham said.

"So the Democratic administration has delivered and we will see increasing cooperation in defence, science and technology, trade and fighting terrorism," he added.

Welcoming Obama's re-election, Milpitas, California, based North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) said the Punjabi community is celebrating his victory because of his several initiatives including the Dream Act for the immigrant children and Obama healthcare law.

On top of this "Obama rose above politics and felt concerned, taking appreciable steps to garner sense of safety and security amongst community members" when six Sikh worshippers were killed in a shootout at Oak Creek Gurdwara in Wisconsin in August, said association's president Satnam Singh Chahal.

New York's noted Indian-American attorney Ravi Batra said, "Barack Obama proved that the hard road is the sure road for resuscitating the American Dream."

Republican challenger "Mitt Romney forced Barack Obama to be at his best so that American exceptionalism continues to provide solace and support for all who love freedom and want a better tomorrow for their kids the world over," he said.

For the U.S presidential election campaign the incumbent president Obama and Challenger Romney are shooting "mouth cannon balls" to each other or in a more appropriate metaphor as if  two F-22 Raptors are engaging on a dogfight each determined to find the “Achilles heel” of the  another to fire the lethal shot just right there . On the topic of unemployment which is the real burning issue , here is what they have to say:
Mitt Romney  : "I want to make small businesses grow and thrive. I know how to make that happen. I spent my life in the private sector. I know why jobs come and why they go. And they're going now because of the policies of this administration."
"The president has tried, but his policies haven't worked. He's great as a speaker and at describing his plans and his vision. That's wonderful, except we have a record to look at and that record shows that he just hasn't been able to cut the deficit, to put in place reforms for Medicare and Social Security to preserve them, to get us the rising incomes we need."
"I care about 100 percent of the American people and I want 100 percent of the American people to have a bright prosperous future."
"We don't have to settle for gasoline at $4, we don't have to settle for unemployment at a chronically high level, we don't have to settle for 47 million people on food stamps."
"We have fewer people working today than we had when the president took office... We have not made the progress we need to make to put people back to work."
But, even though President Obama is a winner of Nobel peace prize, it doesn't mean that he can't fire back. As predicted he did well by saying as follows:
"I believe that the free enterprise system is the greatest engine of prosperity that the world's ever known, I believe in self-reliance... But I also believe that everybody should have a fair shot."
"I believe Governor Romney is a good man, loves his family, cares about his faith. But I also believe that what he said behind closed doors, that 47 percent of the country considered themselves victims, who refuse personal responsibility? ... I want to fight for them."
"Governor Romney says he's got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn't have a five-point plan, he has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules. That's been his philosophy in the private sector, that's been his philosophy as a governor and that's been his philosophy as a presidential candidate."
"(When I took office,) the economy was on the verge of collapse because we were about to go through the worst recession since the Great Depression, as a consequence of some of the same policies that Governor Romney now promotes. So it's conceivable that Governor Romney could bring down the gas prices, because with his policies we might be back in that same mess."

Hyderabad, Nov 4: “Give a politician enough rope, and he may hang his whole party by disclosing its innate contradictions and opportunism”.

By now, the screaming and shouting is over and the dust seems to have settled over the Sagara Haram (Telangana March) and so called signals said to have been received by KCR on Telangana from Congress high-command, thanks to the latest statement of Shinde, Union Home Minster that decision on Telangana has national repercussions indicating that the Congress is not in a hurry to settle the issue.

The Telangana campaign after the momentum generated by Telangana March and ongoing Padayatras by CBN and Sharmila somehow haven’t reached fever pitch to generate delirious abuse and one can, for the moment, reflect on the sad state of “Andhra Pradesh”.

The saddest part is that Andhra Pradesh on the boil not so long ago has returned to simmer. There is no danger—at least in the government’s eyes—of the wrath of the people spilling over and sweltering all in its way. Appearances can be deceptive, and to our mind this is the case at the moment.

“CBN and YS Jagan, KCR and Kodandaram, Raghavulu and Narayana, Vimalakka and Gaddar, coastal Andhra MPs and Telangana MPs” all are busy playing their own game. Not one of them seems to have a people’s perspective.

The Congress leadership has convinced itself that the CBN is in such a sorry mess that he can only shoot himself in the foot if he tries to aim the gun at the ruling party. With one squinted eye turned towards enigmatic YSRCP leadership and unpredictable TRS supremo, CBN in fact does appear more than confused.

In politics of Andhra Pradesh, there are no areas of convergence among TDP and YSRCP and TRS and neither miss an opportunity to lash out at the other on the slightest pretext. Yet, surprisingly, there are stark similarities in their approach towards state politics.

While YSRCP and TRS are providing outside support to the Congress-led state government “to check the growth of CBN as an alternative”, TDP on its part facing charges of colluding with the Congress to halt the emergence of YSRCP and consolidation of TRS. Every one of them is critical of the Congress’ vendetta politics and policy inertia on various issues and is ready to rally the public against it, but none is eager and in an hurry to target the Congress.

And, while all actors on the political stage have called for the ouster of the Congress government to have an early election for the Assembly, none is keen to oust the government just now.

It came as no surprise; therefore, that KCR has been on a “switch on- switch off” mode on a decision to relaunch the movement. True to the form of personality-oriented political outfits that his TRS has been reduced to, his party leaders authorized him to take a decision at “appropriate time” and KCR has been allowed to plan his next moves in a leisurely way in the confines of his farm house.

A similar chore is being repeated in the TDP and YSRCP where the final call will have to be made by CBN and YS Jagan respectively depending on their convenience.

Their politics may be in jarring contrast. Yet, their motivations are not much different. YS Jagan has already spoken publicly about his Chief Ministerial ambitions.

In case of KCR, it is the political grapevine’s worst kept secret. Each of them is involved in back-channel communications with the political establishment ruling in the Raisina Hills.

The allegation leveled by the TDP that the Congress high-command is dangling the sword of CBI over YS Jagan and keeping KCR under reins by reaching tacit understanding with him on the strategy to be followed pending final decision on Telangana, may be a cry of desperation. But it is not without an element of truth.

There are other similarities in the style of politics these traditional rivals in Andhra Pradesh. While CBN has forged an OBC-led combination of minorities and a sprinkling of other castes, in the case of Jagan the pyramid has Reddys at the top and the rest downward.

On the other hand, KCR, a shrewd politician endowed with an uncanny sense of timing, is mired in arrogance that he is capable of reigniting the passions of Telangana people whenever he wants. He is least cared of the average Telangana protagonist who felt let down with his theory of signals, and continues to enact his gimmicks with his narrative on his prolonged stay in Delhi and his supposed fruitful discussions with the Congress high-command.

On sidelines of above, there are many a maverick leaders and virtuoso individuals who have began to shift their loyalties particularly from the Congress and the TDP and are jumping either into YSRCP or into TRS in search of their political future.

Matters are further compounded when ‘all these so called "Aya Rams and Gaya Rams" are advised by the respective party Presidents no less, to remain within the strict confinement of Laxman Rekha. The trouble is that mythological precepts from the Ramayana can’t be blindly prescribed for the much darker times of the Mahabharata. Men of straw either in the government or in the Opposition can’t lead their compatriots away from the precipice in these dark times.

So much for politics of principles! Three Cheers for politics of opportunism!

Hyderabad, Nov 5: Telangana Nagara Samiti leader Nagam Janardana Reddy has given a shock to the TRS chief KCR by making it clear that he would not join a party that was poised to merge in the Congress.

Talking to the media after BJP leaders including Kishan Reddy and Bandaru Dattatreya met him here on Monday, Nagam said he was confident that BJP-led NDA would create Telangana state. Stating that Congress was the number one enemy of Telangana, Nagam said statehood to the region would not be a reality until that party was finished. He said the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh would have understood the sentiments of people if he was directly elected by the people.

Though he has also made it clear that he was not joining BJP, his statement about not joining TRS and expressing confidence on BJP was being regarded as a step towards joining the party at a later date. Nagam said he would work closely with all parties committed to Telangana including BJP. He said he would tour the Telangana districts from November 23. BJP has announced its support to this Yatra. BJP state president Kishan Reddy has also said that they had not invited Nagam to join the party. He also said that his party would work with Nagam.

Mom and wife's secret business for Jagan's release
The leaders of YSR Congress YS Vikayalakshmi, the wife of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and Bharati, the wife of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have been making herculean efforts to get Jagan out of prison ever since the Supreme Court has refused the bail petition they had filed earlier. Recently, according to trustworthy sources, the mother and wife duo had tried to secretly meet the top brass of Congress at Delhi to negotiate terms for the release of Jagan.
According to the source both of them had left for Delhi a few days ago and were spotted on their return flight from Delhi on Friday morning at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It has been understood that they had returned to the city via Bangalore.
On their return flight to Hyderabad, they had avoided confronting a central minister and a couple of state ministers as if to maintain secrecy of their journey. Many political sectors feel that they have been trying to suppress the Enforcement Directorate, ED, from releasing further evidence and notices.

New Delhi, Oct 25: It is reliably learnt that the central cabinet will be reconstituted and expanded on Sunday. The government has reportedly informed the Rashtrapti Bhavan authorities about the possible swearing in of the new ministers.

Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi was already asked to be available in the capital. Now it is learnt that Kurnool MP Kotla Surya Prakasha Reddy was also asked to make himself available in Delhi.

Several state MPs are aspiring for the cabinet berths as several posts fell vacant because of the departure of the Trinamool Congress ministers.

From the Telangana region, the names of Sarve Satyanarayana and Nandi Yellaiah are doing the rounds. Both belong to the weaker sections and their loyalty towards the party and Sonia Gandhi are beyond doubt. Congress high command which has been facing the complex Telangana problem and unable to solve it, may hope for a respite because of inclusion of either of the MPs. Rajya Sabha member Renuka Choudary is also aspiring for cabinet berth in view of her experience.

From the coastal region, two senior leaders Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao are also aspiring for inclusion in the cabinet. Of these Kavuri might get a chance, say sources.

T March leads to partisan, TRS, T JAC look opposite directions!
The T March called as 'Sagara Haram' (garland around Hussainsagar) protest on Sunday agitating for the resolution of Telangana, has made two good friends part ways.  Though these are just rumors based on some live incidents, speculators say that there could be no smoke with out amber beneath, an age old saying. The TJAC Supremo Prof Kodandaram called for the protest to enlighten the imminent need for a separate Telangana state carved out of the unified Andhra Pradesh state. The proposed dat of September 30.
Right from the beginning Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrashekar Rao was playing cautious role on the proposed march sending signals of disinterest.  But things worsened yesterday when the TJAC supremo made an appeal to the activists to stay back for the night at the venue. In spite of heavy rain many activists stayed back, but the TRS party cadre left the venue.
The reasons as per internal sources is that the party backed out in between the march, because they were not consulted over the extension. If it may be noted that on Saturday, Telangana Jagruti Supremo Ms Kavita and the JAC Leader Srinivas Goud  requested the Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma that since it is a peaceful march they expected support from the government and the police department. But with this announcement, things turned chaotic and the TRS did not want to be a party to such unwanted commotions, probably say sources.

T March permission with hidden agenda: TJAC
The Telangana Joint Action Committee supremo Professor Kodandaram today expressed that the permission given by the government for the peaceful T march on Necklace road had no use if leaders are detained. He said on one side peace march is fostered by the government and on the other hand it is arresting leaders. The T leader who had called for Telangana March on September 30 said that it would be a peaceful march and the government had granted permission for the same. But by arresting some leaders the intentions of the government seems to be dubious.
The Telangana Jagruti Supremo Ms Kavita and the JAC Leader Srinivas Goud today requested the Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma that since it is a peaceful march they expect support from the government and the police department. And also requested the release of the arrested leaders. They also told him that the route map for the march is yet to be received by the JAC.
On the other hand the Osmania University students requested the Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy to permit them to join the T march at necklace road. The Minister firmly denied the permission to the students.

None other than the home minister of India has revealed to media that there is no question of taking a decision on Telangana for now. Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has now created ripples in our state politics with his words.

'There is no scope for any all party meeting regarding Telangana for now. Andhra Pradesh is a naxal hit state and we should carefully study that first', said Sushi Shinde, Home Minister of India. 'When other states like Jharkand are formed, Naxals have plunged to power and we'll not let that happen in AP', he added. Shinde sounded like he has complete understanding of AP scenario, including the proposed Telangana march September 30 and confirmed that he knows what KCR talks. If we have to go by the statements of Azad the other day and Shinde today, there is no scope for bifurcation of state in the near future.

With two back to back blows from Congress top brass, KCR now got a tongue in cheek moment and we've to see what he will do next.

The news is everywhere that Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nara Lokesh are going to lead the wings of TDP in the coming days, with Babu going onto roads to brace the root levels. But what will be Jr.NTR doing and when people or TDP cadres will call him into party?

Busy with his shoots and films, Jr.NTR already mentioned that he will not enter active politics for now and declared that people's wish marks his coming. But what are his fans looking at, is his entry into Telugudesam as a star campaigner for the party. However, Balayya's promise that he will enter into full time politics is giving no space for the young tiger in the party. And, Naidu is also talking a bit about Jr.NTR, but fully concentrating on Balayya and Lokesh only.

Analysts feel that split started when Jr.NTR's close friend Kodali Nani jumped into YSR-C and the actor disassociating himself from the incident but not showing interest to woo him back into party. On the flip side, Balayya is playing a trouble shooter to get back all those people who left Telugudesam back into the cycle-fold.

They say that Naidu is executing a perfect plan to keep all the power aspirants from Nandamuri family at bay. We have to think other side of coin too and let us see what happens with Jr.NTR in the coming days.
What Is Happening With Jr.NTR?

Directer: Sekhar Raja

Music: Bobo Shashi

Cast: Balakrishna, Manchu Manoj, Deeksha Seth, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, Prabhu, Sonu Sood, Suhasini and Others

Rating: 2.25/5

Story

Prabhu hier apparent of Gandharva Mahal from his father Narasimha Naidu (Balakrishna) plans to give the Mahal as dowry for his first daughter's wedding. Manoj who enters the house as a tenant tries to stop this process as he gives word to his mother Suhasini that he won't allow Gandharva Mahal to go into the hands of others. Suhasini shares emotional bonding with the mahal as her father used to work under Narasimha Naidu during his time. Jagadamba (Deeksha Seth), Prabhu's second daughter along with her parents and sister makes Manoj do as per their wishes to perform the marriage. What are Manoj's experiences in the palace, why Narasimha Naidu haunts the Mahal, what is the secret of lady beggar(Manchu Lakshmi) hovering at the premises of the palace has to be wached on the mega screen.

Performance

Manchu Manoj tried his best to come up trumps in the role. He tried different get ups in his intro song and even tried to recreate the magic of his father Mohan Babu. In some instances he succeeded. His dances are good and reveled his stunts which is his strong point. However he should improved upon giving expressions through his eyes. Deeksha Seth's role is minimal and is only for skin show. She failed to make any impact on viewers.Natasimha Balakrishna made a powerful impact as Narasimha Naidu and performened exceedingly well. These type of roles are tailor made for him. Sonu Sood as Phanindra Bhupati performed well as a wily husband and possessive lover and at the end made movie lovers feel for his love. Manchu Lakshmi as Amruta Valli wowed all.She stunned all as a beggar as well as a bride. Prabhu, Suhasini, Gollapudi maruti Rao, Bhanu Chander, Sai Kumar and others did their bit. Dharmavarapu tried to make viewers laugh.

Analysis

Debutant Sekhar Raja prepared a near perfect script. However the film's lack of comedy in the first half and hero's subdued role may weaken the story. Hero Manoj's role is left to do things only at the behest of others right fromt the beginning. At the climax Sonu Sood's role bought sympathies for him with viewers made to forget his sins. Heroine did not have any role to play and the film lacks romantic elements. Just like he unleashed souls on movie lovers, even director needs some soul searching to get script insulated from tiny loopholes.

Technical

Bobo Sashi's music is good. Salim Suleiman's back ground score created a strong impact and kept them glued to the screen. Cinematography by B.Rajasekhar captured the beauty of Gandharva Mahal and other locations amazing movie lovers. Art direction and stunts are perfect. Production values are of high standard. But editing in the first half could have been a bit better. Graphics and VFX work is enjoyable.

Final

Watch it for Natasimha's powerful impact and Manchu Lakshmi' surprise element.

He has said that he would present before the court the stories published against a premier investigative agency in the country. He has also alleged that Sakshi newspaper was set up allegedly with the ill gotten money. To make a point, Lagadapati Rajagopal has alleged that Sakshi started its attack on the political parties and media, and now it's trying to throw dirt at the supreme authorities in the country.

Money laundering and cheating banks for huge amounts have become a nominal practice for our white collared politicians. With YS Jagan sitting in jail on the same issue, now the name of Lagadapti is being hard with such allegations.

Hyderabad based lawyer and YSR-C party member Gowtham Reddy accused that Congress MP Lagadapati Rajgopal has cheated ICICI bank by not repaying a loan of 3000 crore rupees. 'Lagadapati has bought a coal company in Australia that is running in losses with people's money. Later he took 3k crore loan by mortgaging the documents of that company in ICICI bank', Gowtham Reddy said. He alleged that Lanco Infra shares have lost heavily in the stock market, many investors including ICICI have lost their money. The lawyer demanded a judicial enquiry by CBI and Enforcement Directorate into these happenings.

While the allegations are getting sensational in political circles, there are lot of disjoint and impractical statements made. Firstly, when a company acquired money by selling shares, common people cannot show authority over the using of that money. Secondly, there is no provision in Indian banks to give loans on documents of foreign properties. If that happens, all the NRIs living abroad will take crores of loans in India by showing their foreign property documents and will not run for investors. We have to see how Lagadapti responds on this.
