The Freedom 251 flash sale took the entire nation by storm in late February with its Rs.251 price for a high-end smartphone built with all the advanced features. But the Ringing Bells company failed to live up to the hype and succumbed to the intense glare and what followed was a catastrophe.

Now, according to the ongoing reports being published in national media, a Jaipur-based smartphone maker called Docoss is promising a similar Android smartphone named Docoss X1 for Rs.888, beating the country's most affordable and reliable smartphone Micromax Bolt S301 priced at Rs.2,150.

The Docoss X1 smartphone bookings are open already on the company’s official website www.docoss.com and the sale closes by April 29. The company claims that the mobile phones will be shipped to the customers starting from May 2nd.

The Docoss X1 is a 3G smartphone and it has a 4-inch IPS display and boasts a screen resolution of 800x480 pixels. At 102 gms and 9.3mm thickness, the X1 is lighter than the Freedom 251 which weighed 116g. The X1 runs Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).

Following the Freedom 251 fiasco, market analysts are cautioning the buyers before booking the Docoss X1 smartphone. -

Twists and turns are not giving a chance to anyone on getting to an opinion on TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee suicide case. In yet another shock, the latest audio clip of phone conversation between Pratyusha and her boyfriend Rahul Raj an hour before her suicide brings unheard things that led to her suicide.

Justice Mridula Bhatkar heard the three and a half minute audio clip of their conversation, while hearing the pleas of accused Rahul Raj for an anticipatory bail.

According to the phone conversation:

Pratyusha Banerjee: Mujhe characterless kaha jaa raha hai. Mujhe marne ki dhamki di jaa rahi hai. Mere maa baap ko marne ki dhamki di jaa rahi hai. Bacha kya hai meri zindagi mein. (I have been called characterless. I'm getting death threats and my parents are getting them too. What's left in my life now?)

Rahul Raj: Yeh sab choti baatein hain. (All these are not a big deal)

Pratyusha Banerjee: Aap isko choti si baat kaise bol sakte ho. Mr. Rahul please keep your ego aside. (How can you say it's no big deal? Mr. Rahul, please keep your ego aside.)

Rahul hung the call while Pratyusha was still speaking.

Pratyusha Banjerjee: You cheater, tumne mujhe cheat kiya hai, mujhe mere maa baap se alag kar diya, ab dekho main kya karne ja rahi hoon (You cheater, you cheated on me, you separated me from my parents, now see what I do)

Rahul: What happened? I will talk to you once I reach home, I am on the way; till I reach, don't do anything.

Court granted bail to Rahul, unable to find any evidence in phone conversation that intended the suicide.

Apple has reported its first-ever drop in iPhone sales since launching the smartphone in 2007 as the tech giant's long streak of rising revenue ended.
Apple yesterday said iPhone sales dropped year-over-year for the first time, slipping to 51.19 million in the recently ended quarter compared with 61.17 million in the same period a year ago.

Profits fell as well: Apple reported net income of USD 10.5 billion in the fiscal quarter to March 26 from USD 13.6 billion last year.

With iPhones the main driver of sales for the company, revenue fell on a year-to-year basis for the first time since 2003: USD 50.6 billion from USD 58 billion a year earlier.

Apple shares dove more than eight percent to USD 95.72 in after-market trades that followed release of the earnings figures.

Sales of iPhones, the heart of Apple's mobile age money-making machine, were down 16 percent, according to the earnings report.

While Apple is the world's largest company by profit and market value, it has been shifting its focus in anticipation of the slowdown.

"Our team executed extremely well in the face of strong macroeconomic headwinds," said Apple chief executive Tim Cook.

"We are very happy with the continued strong growth in revenue from services, thanks to the incredible strength of the Apple ecosystem and our growing base of over one billion active devices."

Analysts said it was not surprising to see the drop given the saturation of the global smartphone market.

"Following a rapid expansion into new markets over the years from 2007-2011, Apple was approaching saturation of the available distribution channels, and many of those already in the smartphone market who could afford to buy an iPhone had one or one of its high-end Android competitors," said Jan Dawson at Jackdaw Research.

Dawson said Apple managed to boost sales in a slow-growing market with its large-screen models, but that it is unclear if it can regain momentum.

Apple also announced that its board has authorised USD 35 billion more to be spent on buying back shares, along with money for the dividend to be increased to 57 cents per share.

Apple has been making inroads into wearable technology with its Apple Watch and moving into services such as music subscriptions, but remains largely dependent on the iPhone for profit and revenue.

Presidential front-runner Donald Trump today declared himself the "presumptive" Republican nominee after sweeping the five primaries in north-eastern states.
"I consider myself presumptive nominee," Trump said in his victory-speech after winning the nominating contests in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

"Tonight was a huge win to Make America Great Again! We now stand alone to take on Hillary and win the White House," Trump said.

In all the five States Trump bagged more than 50 per cent of the votes.
In fact, in Rhode Island and Delaware his vote percentage was more than 60 per cent. In Pennsylvania it was more than 58 per cent, in Connecticut 59 per cent and Maryland 56 per cent.

With this, his delegate count jumped to 944 despite that in Pennsylvania because of local rules he got 17 out of 71 delegates as the rest of the delegates are unbound and free to vote for any candidate in the GOP convention.

Even as Trump declared himself as "presumptive nominee" he is still a little over 300 delegates away from the 1,237 delegates.

"As far as I am concerned, this race is over," he said, adding that his another rival Governor John Kasich who has 153 delegates to his kitty is simply wasting his time.
Kasich came second in four of the five States but could earn just five delegates.
After the latest primary results, Senator Ted Cruz has 559 delegates and his path to nomination before the convention is impossible.

Cruz came last in four of the five States.

Trump said he can easily defeat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"She does not has the strength and stamina" to be the president of the United States and successfully handle countries like China, Japan and Mexico, he said.

"I am going to bring jobs back to the country that you have never seen," he claimed and alleged that Clinton is funded by Wall Street.

Clinton won in four States and her rival Bernie Sanders in Rhode Island.
The primary results moved both Trump and Clinton several steps closer to to earning their party's nomination for the November polls.

Both are about a little over 300 delegates short of the number required yet to reach the half way mark to bag their respective parties presidential nomination.

The next primary is scheduled in Indiana next Tuesday where Cruz and Trump has entered into a strategic alliance to prevent Trump from getting 1,237 delegates.

Kasich is not campaigning In Indiana, while Cruz is not campaigning in the States of New Mexico and Oregon as part of this strategic alliance.

Glamour girl Tamannah has a lot of dreams to make it big in Bollywood. She expressed her desire long ago and ran after one or two offers in Bollywood, when she was at the peak of her career in Telugu film industry.
She desperately tried for roles in Mumbai, claiming that she was actually a North Indian girl and was forced to do films in South because of her bad time. She even offered to settle down in Mumbai, if she got enough roles there.
However, her attempts in Hindi film industry ended up as disasters – whether it was “Himmatwala” with Ajay Devgn or “Hum Shakals,” which were released with high expectations but bombed at the box office.
So, Tamannah had to return to the South to act in Telugu and Tamil films one after the other to sustain her career. She regained her glory with the tremendous success of Baahubali, followed by Bengal Tiger and Oopiri, both of them turned out to be hits.
And it brought her an offer in a Hindi film, too, which is going to be directed by Rohit Shetty. So, the milky beauty has got yet another chance to try her luck in Bollywood, her dreamland.
Apparently, the Hindi film makers have decided to give her one more chance only because of her success track in South, though her earlier films in Bollywood were disasters.
Let’s see whether Tamannah would make use of the latest offer and settle down in Bollywood which is her dream destination!

The only name and face that strikes our mind when asked about the successor of top league actresses Samantha, Anushka and Tamanna, is Rakul Preet for sure. One cannot exactly say how she is crawling slowly towards the top position and when is not having any blockbuster in her account till date.

Rakul Preet started her filmy career in 2009 in Kannada but a Telugu move Venkatadri Express with Sandeep Kishan helped her to find some recognition here. She hardly had any hits here other than Loukyam and Nannaku Prematho and a huge list of disasters to count down. She managed to bag star hero films like Kick 2, Bruce Lee, Nannaku Prematho and Sarrainodu and Ram Charan's next film too, which brought her the craze enjoyed usually by a star heroine.

Rakul Preet is not a heroine who prefers a better story to a star hero. When she is okay being just a beautiful girl in all her films, what else does she need other than a star hero who carries a film on his shoulders. While her friends Regina, Raashi Khanna, Nanditha and Lavanya Tripathi are still struggling to sign a star hero film, Rakul already did few of them and one crucial reason for it seems to be her flexible pay checks.

Rakul is heard to be too cooperative with money issues and she is always ready to manage her personal expenses, which usually shoots up more than 30 lakhs in case of other heroines. With her recent film Sarrainodu, Boyapati Seenu got impressed a lot with her cooperation, professionalism and dedication which compelled him to bring her on board for his next too. With weak stories and biggest failures, star heroes and flexible remunerations, Rakul is a star heroine! -

Sarrainodu Movie Review

With the season's first biggie Sardaar Gabbar Singh turning out to be an epic disappointment, fans and trade are heavily banking upon Sarrainodu to come to the rescue. Boyapati Srinu's decent track record and ever reliable Allu Arjun combining with Allu Aravind, one of the top producers of Telugu film industry, one would expect a minimum guarantee film. However, Sarainodu suffered a lot due to bad story and screenplay. Allu Arjun did his best to save this film from being a debacle, but even a star cannot help a lackluster script to be a blockbuster.

What is it about?

Gana (Allu Arjun) the son of Chief Secretary falls in love with local MLA (Catherine). When he decides to give up his rebellious attitude to marry her, in comes Maha (Rakul) with a big problem. Now Gana has to lock horns with blood thirsty, powerful criminal Dhanush (Aadi) to save Maha from the trouble. Who is this Maha and how is she linked to Dhanush? Why does she comes running to Gana for help?

Performances:

Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun has never attempted a full blooded massy entertainer in his career so far. Boyapati Srinu is particularly known for making mass masala films with heavy dose of violence and bloodshed. Allu Arjun effortlessly slips into the character. His bulked up body makes us believe that he has the raw power to kick and kill that many bad guys. Allu Arjun added his dose of comedy to the film with his antics and dialog delivery. Allu Arjun fans won't be disappointed with the film as the actor delivers a commendable performance all the way.

Aadi Pinishetty and Others:
Boyapati is known for creating some of the powerful villains Telugu film audience have ever seen. We expect a lot when an actor of Aadi caliber is given the antagonist role. Aadi looks suave and stylish. However he is not as menacing as he should be. His character is not etched properly as it loses steam after a while.

Rakul Preeth is just okay. All she has to do is look admiringly at Allu Arjun whenever he is bashing the bad guys. Catherine is a miscast as the MLA. Brahmanandam's comedy is stale, so is Vidyullekha's. There are a lot of noted actors in the film but none makes an impression including Srikanth.

Technicalities:

Boyapati Srinu banks upon his strengths yet again. He didn't take Allu Arjun's image into consideration. He focused only upon presenting Allu Arjun in a mass avatar. He spent a lot of time on hero elevation shots and scenes. He didn't take much care about the script that goes haywire most of the times. Allu Arjun had to put things back on track whenever Boyapati goes off the mark.

Thaman's background score is powerful. Songs are good and are shot lavishly. Dialogues could have been better. Cinematography is top class. Editing is bad as the film drags on and on. Production values are one of the biggest assets to this film.

Thumbs Up:

Allu Arjun

Hero Elevations

Thumbs Down:

Uninteresting Script

Overdose Of Violence

Predictable Climax

Analysis:
A lot of buildup is given to the villain right from the first scene. We settle in expecting a tug of war between the villain and the hero. However hero is too powerful that any number of rowdies can't even pull out a button from his shirt. At least the director should have given the villain an upper hand for some time.

But nothing can stop the hero from whatever he does and wherever he wants to go. Even the villain looks like a mere puppet after a while. There is little depth in Boyapati's story that it struggles hard to keep going. Boyapati Srinu has included many fight scenes to keep the audiences interested.

All the stunts are choreographed in the same way. There is no variety and it gets hideous after some time. We expect a powerful climax because of the powerful villain, but all we are served is a run of the mill stuff that ends horribly predictable. There are few bright points about the film, but we cannot let this one pass off as a passable fare as there are so many more dark moments. Allu Arjun's spotless performance is the main highlight of this Boyapati's bland and boring mass masala offering.

Verdict: Not 'Saraina' Attempt!

With premiere and benefit shows in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana states put off at the last moment due to police and security reasons, audience and Mega Fans are running to the nearest screens to watch the action entertainment offered by Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu.
Sarrainodu’ is a special film because Geetha Arts produced the product on a massive budget and took the output so seriously. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are doing the female leads while Rishi Punjabi’s camerawork is said to be the best technical aspect.
Anyways, ‘Sarrainodu’ is hitting nearly 2000 screens with all the South Indian states targeted heavily. Stay tuned to CJ for an early and honest review.

n yet another turn in Roja suspension arguments, Supreme court today asked Roja to apologize for her comments and absurd behavior in AP Assembly that compelled the house suspend her for one year. SC suggested Roja to write an apology letter to speaker and once again made it clear that house has all the powers to suspend her for her unwanted acts.

Supreme Court refers to an example of how Sisupaludu was forgiven by Lord Krishna for his 100 mistakes and asks both the parties to understand the situation. Justice Arun Mishra and Gopala Gouda opined that this happened due to lack of experience and understanding and suggested them to put the scuffle down for the sake of public benefits.

Court finds fault with Roja's version of apologizing only when she will be allowed to enter Assembly and further arguments were postponed for next day.

On the other side, Roja claims to have been asked for explanation on whole episode, but not apology. Roja denies having personal quarrel or hatred towards Chandrababu, but claims to have been suspended when she was raising concerns on social problems. The loud mouth MLA is ready to give an explanation and wants everyone to work for development of state. -

With less than 24 hours left, the entire Tollywood is awaiting the release of Allu Arjun's 'Sarrainodu'. The film promises to be a high-end action entertainer and generated exceptional buzz about the film. This film's success is need of the hour for some members in the team.

Rakul Preet Singh , the film's leading lady, is in need of a genuine hit now. Most of the big films she acted like 'Bruce Lee' and 'Kick2' ended up as disasters. Her latest flick 'Nannaku Prematho' turned out to be an average one. Now, she needs a massive hit to stay in the top league.

Film's music composer Thaman needs a good hit as his recent outings 'Bruce Lee' and 'Dictator' turned out to be flops. Also, his tunes are often criticized for being monotonous. Even 'Sarrainodu' album lacks chartbuster songs and if the film succeeds, only then can he stand strong against the DSP tidal wave.

Some of the other team members like Aadi Pinisetty, who is yet to make his mark in Tollywood and Boyapati Sreenu, who needs to prove that he can score success even with young heroes, are also praying for the success of 'Sarrainodu'.

Above all, this film is a very important one for Bunny who is looking for a mass hero image. The film did huge pre-release business on par with films like 'Srimanthudu' and 'Sardaar'. If the film gets positive talk on Day One, it becomes another 'Srimanthudu' and if not, it may turn out as another 'Sardaar'. Let us hope for the best.

Looks like Sreenu Vaitla's troubles aren't over. The star director who was in prime demand at a time is now struggling to find takers.
Back to back disasters with Aagadu and Bruce Lee have damaged his stardom and credibility as a director. After being turned down by few mid range heroes, Vaitla settled with Varun Tej, the youngest hero from the mega clan.
Varun Tej who has done mostly experimental to date wanted to do a wholesome family entertainer and decided to go with Sreenu Vaitla.
Varun liked the storyline narrated by Vaitla and the producers also talked with Regina and Hebah Patel for the heroine roles. The project was tentatively titled Mister, but somehow it didn’t hit the floors yet.
When we tried to find out the details for the delay we came to know that Varun Tej isn’t impressed with the way the script has shaped out.
Sreenu Vaitla couldn’t come up with a convincing screenplay and Varun Tej isn’t willing to take a chance with half baked script. He asked the director to come up with a better version and if Vaitla fails to do so, then Mister has high chances to be put on the backburner, said sources.

Actress Catherine Tresa, known for her work in films like "Madras" and "Rudhramadevi", says she felt a lot of positive vibes while working on forthcoming Telugu actioner "Sarrainodu".
"Right from the beginning, there was positivity on the sets of this project. It was a lovely vibe. This is the best experience I've had on a Telugu project," Catherine told IANS.
In the film, she plays a legislator, and her look was completely designed by director Boyapati Srinu.
"My director did the most of the homework. As an MLA, you are expected to look and dress in a certain way. He didn't want it to be formulaic, yet kept the look authentic. He had such a grip on the character, he even chose the jewellery and costumes," she said.
Ask her why she chose to play a legislator, a role usually offered to senior heroines, Catherine said she likes to do "different" things.
"I easily get bored when I have to play the same kind of roles. This role is just as old as me. I really liked the vision my director had for this character, which is quite different from anything I've done so far," she said, adding she thoroughly enjoyed playing the character.
"If I don't enjoy the role I play, how will audience enjoy it," she asked.
The film stars Allu Arjun and this is Catherine's second film with him.
Having worked with Arjun three years ago in "Iddarammayilatho", she feels he has evolved as an actor.
"You learn and grow with every film. In the case of Arjun, I think he has evolved as a performer. While he has mostly played stylish and classy roles, he plays a character with a lot of mass appeal in this film," she said, adding it was a delight to match steps with him.
"When you dance with Arjun, the bar is set so high that you need to really push yourself to match up to him. Nevertheless, it's always fun to dance with him," she added.
Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and Aadi Pinisetty, the film is slated to release on Friday.
