Only very few actors have proved to be successful as both villain and hero. Actor Gopichand belongs to this rare breed. Ask him which is easy for him and pat comes reply. "I think being hero is difficult and challenging. One has to maintain a lot and needs to take care of looks, body. Though it's also necessary for villains but people demand most out of heroes. But no complaints though. I'm happy being hero," Gopichand tells us in an exclusive conversation with Gulte.
Shedding his inhibition, Gopi gets candid. Why is he media-shy and often reticent. "It's not a deliberate decision. But I've been shy since my childhood. It'll take sometime for me to get close to people and become friendly. In my close circle, I crack jokes and spend time well," shares Gopi adding that he'd be in touch with media from now on wards.
Your Loukyam was one of the big hits. So could we say people expecting more comedy from you? "I don't think so. Frankly speaking, comedy is a filler where there's no novel story. Loukyam was beaten script. But it's new to me. I hadn't done such films before Loukyam and people gave thumbs up. That's the reason Soukyam didn't work. Even during the making, I knew it might not work and it really didn't. Audience expect me to do more action films with good scripts and my next films would be on those lines."
Talking about his present film Oxygen which is in the final leg of shooting, Gopichand says that the story of the film is close to his heart as it has few elements that share resemblances with his dad and yesteryear director T Krishna's movies. "Oxygen has action, family elements with good message. I play the role of a urban youth. And the film is designed such that everyone around us relate to. The plot is very nice. When director Jothi Krishna (son of producer AM Ratnam) had told me the story, I had told him that it's very impressive but only thing is that he has to execute it like he narrated. He accepted and film is really shaping up well."
How does Gopi choose his scripts? "I don't plan film after film. I choose the best that come in my way. Usually I take longtime to pick a script." Gopi seems to have done less films as hero. Does he increase pace? "I think i'm doing good. Utmost I can do one to two films a year. Since many action episodes are involved, it easily takes time."
How has life changed after marriage? And especially after his son Virat Krishna has born? "Really, it changed completely. My family is my biggest strength. I'm having great time with my son Virat. He's smart and we play together. I forget all my strain as soon as I saw him opening the door. My wife (Reshma) often complains jocularly that am spending more time with my son than with her. She's understanding and she's my lucky mascot."
Post Oxygen, Gopi will be working with director Sriwass with whom he's teaming up for third time after Lakshyam, Loukyam. And he is again collaborating with Andhrudu director Paruchuri Murali soon. Meanwhile, Gopi is celebrating his birthday today. He says he has no birthday resolutions.
Samantha is no more interested in acting and wants to get married and settle down at the earliest.
This was revealed by Samantha herself in a chat with media recently. She said she was fed up with daily shooting and would get married by next year.
Though she did not reveal who her lover is, it is more or less confirmed that he is none other than Naga Chaitanya.
However, she did not announce it in public as the Akkineni family is yet to give clearance in this regard. So, she is showing excitement about her affair through the advertisements she is accepting.
Most of the ads she is doing are related to wedding. She is so anxious that she may get ready for the marriage the very moment Naga Chaitanya gives his nod. ‘A..Aa..’ helped her revive her market in Telugu film industry, which also added to her excitement.
Post the release of "Kanche", for that beautiful role of Seetha Devi, many felt that Pragya Jaiswal will go rocking. However she hasn't cracked anything here in Tollywood and still looking for her next to come up.

And now, Pragya is part of SIIMA awards front-face team and such gorgeous presence at promotional events of this award event should bring her luck. Let's see.

And the turn is soft-porn actress Shakeela. Kannada director Indrajit Lankesh is prepping up to make biopic of the adult actress. And what's more? Noted Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is being considered to step into Shakeela's shoes.
Indrajit is presently busy grooming politician Zameer Ahmed Khan's son Zaid Khan for another movie. He says that the biopic on Shakeela is on. Indrajit divulged that Huma Qureshi would be the lead in this film and he is planning to make it in Hindi shortly.
Incidentally , Shakeela had played a cameo along with Sunny Leone in Indrajit's previous Sandalwood release Luv U Alia. There were also rumours that Sunny would be doing the biopic.
After shot to fame with Gangs of Wasseypur, Huma has become quite busy with supporting roles in Hindi. Now she is all set for her Mollywood debut with the Mammootty's 'White'. - S

The recently released trailer of Rashmi's Antham is raising the temperatures for sure. Her steamy scenes in the trailer have already garnered many eye balls and set the tongues wagging. While many are eagerly waiting to see Rashmi's glam show on big screen, here's the disappointing report to her fans.
Gossip is that the makers have imbibed all Rashmi's meaty scenes from the film in the trailer itself and there's nothing new left to show them in the movie. Apprently, even the film's few lead cast seems to be a bit taken aback, said sources in the know. -
Now many in the film's unit are expressing their shock that audiences would feel disappointed if they don't find more such skin scenes in the movie compared to its trailer. And one more interesting thing is that the film has good resemblances with Ram Gopal Varma's Antham (1992) which has Urmila as female lead.
It needs to be seen whether Antham would pull off crowds with the intimate scenes or not. - See more at: http://www.gulte.com/movienews/49831/Trailer-Full-Of-Romance-Nothing-Left-for-Movie#sthash.fDCsCVtf.dpuf

Worldclass Visual Effects experts were working for the project simultaneously. Entire shoot might come to an end by September or October this year.
Chandrababu Naidu reiterates he was the one who developed Telangana and placed Hyderabad on the Global map during his 9 years rule as Chief Minister of United AP.
When quizzed about the nominal assistance to AP from Centre post the bifurcation, Andhra Chief Minister admits that sanction of central funds hasn't met the expectation. He, however, feels there is no use in complaining that Centre isn't helping AP the way it should be. He also makes it clear there is no question of ending ties with BJP till 2019, instead wishes to accept whatever Centre might offer to the state. 'AP is a 2-year-old baby. Nurturing it carefully is the need of the hour,' he believes.
To settle the inter-state Water disputes, Chandrababu Naidu appeals Centre to constitute an Apex Council with Chief Ministers of Telugu States to resolve the issues in an amicable manner

Hero-turned-comedian Sunil is trying hard to impress everyone as the leading man. After the failure of his Krishnashtami recently, he's in a tight situation where he has to deliver a super hit with films like Veedu Gold Ehe.
To make his next with director Kranthi Madhav bigger than the best, we heard that the makers have opted for a talented heroine from Malayalam. She's none other than Miya George, who has acted in many TV serials and also two dozens of Mallu films. After winning Miss Fitness Kerala 2012 award, she has shot to fame with her dance.
Hope this hot lady's entry changes Sunil's future forever.

With healthy spoofs on his peers in Sudigadu, Allari Naresh had won many hearts. In fact, the film set new precedent in the industry and paved way for several spoofs. Though later many others tried this way, nothing worked like Suidgadu. Having said this, what's disappointing is that none other than Naresh showed up with monotonous spoofs.
The teaser of Naresh's upcoming film Selfie Raja has come as big let down. Given that it's coming from Naresh-AK Entertainments, one would expect them to have decent humour. But it proved to be otherwise.
Surprisingly, the teaser has poor dialogues that lacked punch. Except Naresh's timing, nothing seems to have worked. Naresh attempting to do spoof of Pawan from Sardaar and Tarak from Dammu isn't appealing. Even the teaser features Prudhvi in a single shot giving hint that the film strictly follows all stereotypes.
Hope this won't be another James Bond, Naresh. -

'Our Governments don't recognize the real talent. Only recommendations brings Awards. People without any face value or those we aren't familiar with were honoured with Padma Awards. That's why the sanctity/value of awards have come down drastically,' he alleged.
The Veteran Filmmaker showered praises on the current members of MAA Association. 'Till date, So many people got elected to MAA Association. But, The services of current Office Bearers is impressive. MAA headed by Rajendra Prasad has been providing pensions for poor artistes and felicitating seniors,' opined Dasari.

Former Union Minister Chiranjeevi has been mulling to establish a film studio, tentatively named as Konidala Studio', in Visakhapatnam since an year. He, however, seems to have withdrawn the plan after AP Government failed to provide enough co-operation. Megastar even expressed his dissatisfaction at the audio launch of 'Sarrainodu' over lack of encouragement to Investors from TDP Government.
If the buzz is to be believed, Chiru is now keen on setting up Konidala Studio in Hyderabad itself instead of Vizag. He even sought the help of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao at the launch of Balakrishna's 100th flick 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni'. The TRS Supremo responded positively to the proposal.

Following reports that AP government is mulling to takeover Sakshi media group, the owner of Sakshi Group and YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy said his channel and paper were established for the cause of people and not to support Naidu and his government.
"Naidu has been resorting to the curtailing of freedom of speech media and press by blocking television channels, including Sakshi, for objective reporting. This is a bad precedent," Jagan said and exhorted other media groups to come forward and condemn the blockade of Sakshi news channel in Andhra Pradesh.
"Naidu's government curtailed freedom of speech by obstructing the TV channel from telecasting news on Kapu reservation," Jagan added. Earlier today and late yesterday, there were reports that Sakshi TV's programs were blocked by the area operators in Visakhapatnam and surrounding areas. -

Okka Ammayi Thappa Movie Review
Sundeep Kishan pinned a lot of hopes on Okka Ammayi Thappa. He was all excited as the film got closer to the release date. Rajasimha Tadinada, a noted writer has turned director with this film. Posters and the title have raised interest over the film, check out here whether Okka Ammayi Thappa turned out to be a entertainer or torture to its audience.
What is it about?
Krishna Vachan (Sundeep Kishan) and Mango (Nitya Menon) are stuck in traffic on a flyover. Hardly any vehicle moves forward because of an accident and little does Krishna and Mango know that it is a terrorist ploy. Krishna Vachan comes to know that Mango is his childhood lover and tries to get in touch with her. Meanwhile he gets caught in the web of dreaded terrorist Anwar (Ravi Kishan), who makes Krishna Vachan follow his orders by threatening to kill Mango.
Performances:
Sundeep Kishan is alright in the lead role. His chemistry with Nitya Menon is impressive. The style and attitude shown by him when the protagonist gets on top of his game is good. Nitya Menen has very little to do in this film. Wonder why she opted to do this film as she is known to be very selective about her choices. Ravi Kishan is over the top. Ajay is okay. Ali is funny at times. Tagubothu Ramesh and Prudhvi add little value. Brahmaji also is wasted in a miniscule role. There is nothing to say about the other star cast that hardly makes their presence felt.
Technicalities:
Rajasimha chose a very weak script for his debut as a director. The plot seems interesting but he has totally failed with the execution part. It is hard to keep things interested when the lead characters are caught on a flyover for more than eighty percent of the screen time. Rajasimha could've made it a taut thriller, but his attempt to play to the galleries has backfired.
Micky J Meyer music is not impressive. BGM is terrible. It is surprising to see an ace cinematographer like Chota K. Naidu come up with such a substandard product. Editing is bad. Production values are not up to the mark.
Thumbs Up:
Nitya Menon screen presence
Thumbs Down:
Screenplay
Direction
Music
Analysis:
Okka Ammayi Thappa has an intriguing setup. Almost three quarters of the film runs on a flyover, which is first of its kind in Telugu cinema. Concepts like these need to have very good technical values, taut screenplay and extraordinary performances. Sadly Okka Ammayi Thappa doesn't check any of the boxes above.
Rajasimha tried to play it safe by inserting comedy and action into the proceedings that certainly didn't help the cause. This film could have been better if it is had a runtime of ninety minutes. Despite the intriguing premise there isn't one moment where we are thrilled and excited about the proceedings.
Director's attempt to generate the patriotic feel also backfired due to bad writing. At least the film had an opportunity to redeem itself towards the climax, but the director refused to do so. Sundeep Kishan has been looking for an opportunity to break the monotony and do some niche films.
No wonder he is all excited about OAT as the script should have sounded exciting on the paper, but sadly for him it turned out to be one of the most torturous experiences at the theaters in recent times.
Verdict: Everything else is a Mess, Okka Ammayi (Nitya) Thappa!
