Two days after the sensational Telangana march, TRS president and MP K Chandrashekara Rao-who formed his political party to achieve statehood for Telangana-returned to Hyderabad (the hotbed of Jai Telangana movement) after a couple weeks from the national capital territory. At one point of time, people apparently thought and propagated that Telangana is KCR and KCR is Telangana. But the situation now seemed to have after TJAC's Telangana march. All political associations and parties came under the umbrella of the joint action committee and TRS is no exception. But then KCR, who left for Delhi to discuss issues pertaining to Telangana state, returned with empty hands. What KCR did in Delhi is a million dollar question.
However, the determined leader confidently said that the centre will convene a final all party meeting on Telangana issue. It may be noted that KCR earlier pitched his voice in support of a bill in the parliament and objected the idea of discussions and consensus. But by mentioning about the all party meeting, the political observers opined that, KCR was convinced by the big wigs in Delhi. If we look at the recent statements of AICC in charge of AP affairs Gulam Nabi Azad, a clear message came that a decision on Telangana would not be taken in near future. Same was apparently reiterated by Vayalar Ravi, a political observer to AP.
Nonetheless, KCR said that he went to Delhi only on the invitation of the Congress party and his party ex-MP Vinod said that the decision on Telangana got delayed only due to the cabinet expansion, which was earlier scheduled to take place in September. It may be recalled that KCR left for Delhi on September 5 and came back without any firm statement on Telangana although he termed that the talks were fruitful.
