Washington, Oct 27: Sleuths of the FBI have nabbed software professional Raghunandan Yandamuri for killing 10-month-old girl child Sanvi and her grand mother.
It is learnt that Raghunandan of Visakhapatnam was living in the same flat as Sanvi's parents were living and hoped to get a ransom of 50000 dollars by kidnapping the child. He told the investigators that he had killed Sanvi's grandmother Satyavati as she resisted the kidnap.
The killing of Satyavati and kidnap of Saanvi in Pennsylvania has stunned the Indians settled in the USA. Saanvi was kidnapped from the Upper Marian Apartment Complex. After arresting Raghunandan, he led the police to the gymnasium locker in the King of Prussia Apartment, where he hid the dead body of the kid. It is learnt that Raghu told the police that he had targeted Sanvi's parents as both of them were employed.
As every criminal does a mistake and gets caught because of it, Raghu had also done a mistake and was caught because of it. Saanvi's father has a nickname as Shiva and her mother has the nick name of Lata. This nick name is known only to close family members and friends. The murderer has mentioned these nick names in the ransom letter he has left behind. FBI agents investigating the case have enquired about the persons knowing these nicknames. Then they started investigating into the list and zeroed in on Raghu.
The murderer has left behind ten copies of his ransom demand in the apartment. He reportedly told the police that he has stuffed a handkerchief in the mouth of the child as she started weeping.
