Hyderabad,
March 16: The marriage episode of film actress and TDP leader Kavita’s
daughter with car driver Raj Kumar took curious turns like a real film
story and ended in police arresting the mastermind of the marriage
drama.
Police came to know that Alkapalli Raj Kumar who
claimed to have married Kavita’s daughter, had married two other women
earlier, by cheating, Earlier reports said Madhuri loved Raj Kumar and
ran off with him when her mother objected to their marriage. The two got
married at Peddapalli of Karimnagar district.
But
responding to a complaint from Kavita, Punjagutta police rushed to
Peddapalli and picked up the couple. While they restored Madhuri to her
parents, took Raj Kumar to the police station.
Even as
they were interrogating him, his second wife Jaya Sri came to the police
station with their 4-year-old daughter and told the police how he
cheated her. The story unraveled later.
Raj Kumar first
married Annapurna of Huzurabad in 2005. He left her and married Jaya Sri
of Huzurnagar in 2008. He then shifted to Secunderabad and started
working as a driver. He then somehow trapped Kavita’s daughter Madhuri
and enacted the marriage drama without the knowledge of his first two
wives.
Madhuri told the media on Saturday that she was threatened into the marriage.
Madhuri
said that Raj Kumar sight his sights on her money and threatened to
harm her family members to force her into marrying him.
She
said she got married under threat by Raju and some other people. She
said Raju asked her Rs. 15 lakhs to start a business. When she said she
had no money, he forced her into marriage, to lay his hands on her
mother's money. She said she was drugged and taken to Peddapalli and did
not know what happened there.
Kavita also denied media
reports that there was love between the driver and her daughter. She
said they do not have any drivers and each of them drove their cars
themselves. Profusely weeping, she thanked the police for restoring her
daughter, within 24 hours of her disappearance.
