Harshvardhan Rane is popular in Tollywood as John Abraham for his macho looks and handsome personality. His Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam impressed all and he signed his third with Bejoy Nambiar of Wazir, Shaitan fame. The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Agni Natchathiram, which released in 1988, and was also dubbed in Telugu as Gharshana.
Speaking about his role Harshvardhan says, “I got a call from Bejoy sir, who offered me the role. He had watched my work in Sanam Teri Kasam… I had always been a big fan of his work... and even Mani Ratnam sir’s films. I like Bejoy’s style of movie making and the m usic is always so good in all his movies. This movie will go on the floors in a couple of months.”
Harshvardhan went on to add “It’s too early to talk about the role, but it’s definitely something that people have not seen me doing. I always try that my next film is different than my last movie. I would like to surprise my audience…that I think is the job of an actor. It feels like my first film all over again.”
On his Telugu films he revealed “I have signed a Tollywood movie but we are currently trying to manage the dates. I am trying my best to do both the films. I just can’t stop doing Telugu films just when I have started speaking a little better Telugu,”
