Music composer M M Keeravani who scored songs for more than 200 movies had announced his retirement plans much before the commencement of Rajamouli’s epic “Baahubali”.
I will retire on 8th December in 2016, he posted on his Facebook account announcing his retirement plans two years ago. But he has been signing new movies.
He is now working for K Raghavendra Rao and Nagarjuna’s devotional movie “Om Namo Venkateshaya” and Rajamouli’s epic “Baahubali 2”. Two more movies are said to be under the pipeline.
Although none of his movie albums in the recent past except “Baahubali” were impressive, he is still considered as one of the best musicians working in Tollywood. Since “Baahubali 2” and Raghavendra Rao’s movie release in 2017, he has reportedly changed his plan of retirement to the next year. There is also pressure from his fans and filmmakers to drop those plans too and continue composing the music.
He is hoping to win a national award for the background score for “Baahubali 2” as he is giving on bigger and better scale than the first part.
