Mrunal Joshi, a resident of Junagadh in Rajkot of Gujarat, got the shock of his life after getting to see eight Asiatic lions walking the road in front of his house. Soon, He captured the unusual scene on the four-lane road from the balcony of the third floor. The incident happened at around 2.30 am on Tuesday.
Shockingly, The place where Lions were spotted were highly populated and as many as 10,000 people live in the locality. There were residential houses, schools, temples and hostels in this area. After an hour long road journey, The Wild Cats reached the forest area near Datar Road.
The lions have escaped from Girnar Wildlife Sanctuary which is two kilometers away from the Junagadh. There are altogether 45 lions in the Sanctuary. Residents of the nearby areas have similar experience in the past as well.
