he Cauvery water dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu took violent turn on Monday. Nearly 40 private buses belonging to Tamil Nadu have been set ablaze in Karnataka. Hotels were attacked by the Protestors. Citizens were terrorized with the violent incidents in the IT Capital.
Around 15,000 police force has been deployed in the city to take the situation under control. Karanataka Government appealed People to remain calm and not to take the violent path.
On September 5th, Supreme Court ordered for release of 15,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for 10 days. Today, The Apex Court asked Karnataka Government release 12,000 cusecs per day until September 20th. SC even expressed disappointment over deteriorating law & order situation in Karnataka.
Prakash Raj appealed: 'Let's seek justice ... But not with such inhuman violence. It's painful to see children terrified. PEACE pleassss'.
