Even 5 months after releasing 'Loafer', Varun Tej is yet to kick-start his new project. Though he signed a film with Srinu Vytla titled as 'Mister', the film is yet to go on floors. Latest reports say that Varun is interested in starting another film now.
We already knew that Shekar Kammula narrated a script to Varun Tej. This Mega hero was impressed by his script and is reportedly thinking of sidelining 'Mister' and starting Kammula's film first. The film will be produced by Dil Raju. Kammula's films are usually soft in nature and Varun Tej too tried to be versatile from the beginning of his career.
But there is another talk that as Vytla's film is planning a foreign shoot first, it is taking time. Inspite of this, Varun Tej will first work on Sreenu Vytla's project and then move on to Shekar Kammula's film. We need to wait and see for further updates.
Hyderabad: Days after two storms hit the city, the GHMC has still not cleared the streets of uprooted trees and broken branches.
A thunderstorm hit Secunderabad on May 14, and Hyderabad on May 20. Over 500 trees were uprooted, and branches of hundreds of trees fell down.
ven by Sunday evening many places like Ashoknagar, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Anandnagar, Baghlingampally, Kacheguda, Musheerabad, Chil-kalguda, Padmarao Nagar had the leafy remains still lying along the road and in colonies. In many areas, the debris from thunderstorms which occurred a week ago and earlier, are still to be seen.
GHMC does not have any special plan to ensure swift and efficient clearance of debris after thunderstorm even though IMD and other meteorological experts from the city say that till the onset of monsoon in June there will be more such thunderstorms.
Asked about it, a horticulture official from GHMC said, “Yes, we know that that till monsoon there will be such thunderstorms but there is no particular plan as such. We are ensuring that the tree debris clearing work is conducted quickly and keeping all the equipment and manpower for it ready.”
Mr C Ramesh from Kacheguda said, “There is a long tree trunk lying next to the main road near my house. In my lane there is a heap of tree branches and leaves which block the street. On Saturday some GHMC workers came and did haphazard work by carrying away the debris which was right on the road and leaving the debris in streets and along the roads, intact.”
Earlier on Saturday night, tension prevailed as locals in Golconda, Toli Chowki, Banjara Hills and other areas gheraoed electricity officials for their failure to restore the supply. The discom officials brought mobile transfers and also gave alternate supply from other feeders during night to some of the colonies. Power supply was restored in these areas only on Sunday.

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident at the zoo here, a drunk 35-year-old man jumped into the enclosure of African Lions apparently to “shake hands” with them on Sunday evening. Animal keeper R. Papaiah was close by and responded instantly to save the man from the approaching wildcats. The inebriated man, Mukesh, is a labourer and Rajasthan native.
After crossing the metal barricade and the parapet wall, Mukesh jumped into the moat and swam towards the big cats. He held out a hand at them. The lions were in a mood to pounce on him, but Papaiah began throwing stones at them and shouting at them to distract their attention.
As the wildcats eyed Mukesh, some stones fell near them and they moved away. In a jiffy, Mukesh began swimming back to the parapet wall. Papaiah held a long pole to Mukesh. He grabbed it and got back to safety.
A large crowd of Sunday visitors thronged the enclosure with bated breath, watching the drama unfold. Shivani Dogra, who was appointed on Saturday as curator of the zoo said, “When the man started climbing the metal barricade, security officials ran to stop him. He quickly crossed the barricade as well as the parapet wall and jumped into the moat. This happened during closing hours and the animal keeper was at hand to arrange feed for the lions. The lions are used to Papaiah’s calls and they moved towards another end of the enclosure.”
Mukesh had an identity card on him. It showed him as a labourer employed with L&T for the Hyderabad Metro Rail works. With minor injuries, he was handed over to the Bahadurpura police station. This is the fourth shocking incident at the Hyderabad Zoo this year.

The Delhi government sacked three teachers and suspended another three at a state-run school in south Delhi for beating up schoolchildren and misbehaving with them.
The order comes after children at the school complained of teachers repeatedly beating them up and hurling abuses.
The services of a science teacher, a social science teacher and a physics lecturer were terminated. The vice-principal of the school along with a Hindi teacher, and a lecturer of accounts were placed under suspension by the Delhi government’s Education Department.
Earlier this week, Education Minister Manish Sisodia visited Shahid Hemu Kalani Sarvodya Bal Vidyalaya in Lajpat Nagar. This was a part of the surprise inspection of the special classes held during the ongoing summer vacation. When the minister started interacting with students of classes IX and XII, they hinted at teachers resorting to corporal punishment. The students also indicated that teachers did not focus well on taking classes and neglected the academic curriculum.
Following this, Sisodia asked the teachers and the school principal to leave the classroom so that students could express their views without fear. During the next hour, students narrated their experiences and named two teachers who repeatedly indulged in hitting students and used abusive language while in classrooms.
Other students spoke of how teachers did not pay attention to holding practical classes, which is mandatory for some subjects. Students were not being able to cope with the physics lessons as there were no practical classes taken along side, the minister was told.
The government has directed the principal and other teachers to be more sensitised while dealing with the children. Sisodia told teachers that if students are not treated affectionately, their attempts to give them sound education would be counter-productive. This would also hamper their learning process.

The 73-year-old "Wazir" star met young girl Hardika, who wished to cut her birthday cake in presence of her favourite actor.
Bachchan posted pictures of Hardika's birthday celebration on his blog and shared the details of his meeting with her.
"Hardika a young girl suffers from cancer and has a wish to meet me. I comply and we meet. She is pretty and gentle and moves with an oxygen container. It is most difficult to confront the innocence of pain and lost hope.
"But a brave front, a desire fulfilled a wish completed and a smile for a special day in her life - her birthday makes that moment eternal. I wish her speedy recovery," the actor wrote. Bachchan also gifted the girl a bouquet of flowers.

Hyderabad: Telangana CM KCR planned to celebrate Telangana Formation Day in a grand manner on June 2nd. Chief Minister dreamed to unfurl largest national flag of India at the tallest pole and directed authorities to construct flag post of over 300ft at Sanjeevaiah Park for the same.
However AAI authorities is giving shock to KCR by giving permission for only 167 feet pole. Senior AAI official at Begumpet airport speaking to scribes said “We have received the application from the TS government. There are certain rules and procedures to be followed. As per norms, we gave approval for a flag post for 50 odd metres. Though Sanjeevaiah Park is not in the funnel zone, it is in close proximity to the Begumpet airport,”
AAI stated that it forwarded the Telangana government's application to its headquarters in Delhi and Govt can take the matter with the headquarters. Chennai: The DMDK floated by actor-turned-politician A. Vijaykant is expected to lose recognition as a "State Party" as it polled less than six percent votes in the Tamil Nadu assembly election.
The DMDK was the principal opposition party in the outgoing assembly and Vijaykant was the leader of the opposition.
All DMDK candidates were defeated in the May 16 polls. Vijaykant himself finished third in Ulundurpettai after the AIADMK and DMK. The DMDK secured just 2.4 percent of votes across the state.
In order to get the Election Commission's recognition as a State Party, a party must secure a minimum of six percent of all votes polled.
In 2011, the DMDK won 29 seats when it aligned with the AIADMK.
Subsequently, the two fell out and a group of DMDK legislators supported the AIADMK without resigning their seats.

As per reliable sources Brahmotsavam will be trimmed down by 18 minutes. The trimmed version will be screened from tomorrow.
We didn’t get the details about the footage that is going to be edited out. One of the songs in the first half might be removed as per the feedback.
Brahmotsavam is off to below par start in the Telugu states. Disaster reports are coming in from Ceded area. It is unlikely to beat Sardaar Gabbar Singh premieres collection in US.
It is interesting to see if Mahesh comes out and aggressively promote the film or simply accept the failure and move on.

Telangana CM KCR has kept his promise of offering financial assistance to veteran character artiste Pavala Syamala. In the past, KCR assured Syamala of Rs. 10,000 pension every month and instructed the State's Cultural Department's Director to come to Syamala's rescue.
