Hyderabad,
June 23: Several top film producers like Allu Aravind have met the DGP
Dinesh Reddy and complained to him about unnecessary harassment based on
wild allegations.
After
Bhanu Kiran the prime accused in the murder of Rayalaseema factionist
Maddelacheruvu Suri was arrested, some film producers including Natti
Kumar started making allegations about the gangster’s links with some
producers. Police have taken cognisance of the complaints and started
investigation, resulting in unnecessary harassment of some of the top
producers.
Based
on the complaints by Natti Kumar, CID officials have already registered
cases against few prominent producers and financiers.
It
is learnt that besides Allu Aravind, producers K Ashok Kumar and ML
Kumar Choudary have also met the DGP and CID additional DG SV Ramana
Murty on behalf of the film chambers and expressed their concerns. They
have requested the police authorities to check the veracity of
complaints before registering cases against members of the film
industry.
CID
officials have so far registered cases against producers C Kalyan,
Singanamala Ramesh and Anjaneya Gupta, based on a complaint lodged by
Natti Kumar. Film producers are apprehensive that Natti Kumar is likely
to make allegations on others also. In this context the producers have
requested the police to book cases only after checking prima facie
evidence in the complaint.

Hyderabad,
June 23: Police arresting youngsters at a rave party in a resort near
Hayatnagar on the outskirts of the city on Friday night has brought to
the fore the way youth is becoming slaves to liquor, drugs and unnatural
pleasure.
Police who raided the resort were themselves shocked at finding some boys and girls without clothes in a highly inebriated condition. Remnants of drugs, liquor bottles and condoms have proved what might have happened at the resort, where a party was claimed to have been organized to promote some real estate business.
The presence of a foreigner points to the increasing drug supply to youngsters by foreign nationals, who have been choosing India for their operations because of the less stringent laws here. Several foreigners were caught by the police in recent times, while selling drugs to the youngsters. Foreign students, especially those from countries like Nigeria have made drug-peddling as their main business in Hyderabad city. There are even film actors among the clientele of these peddlers.
Coming back to the scene at Hayatnagar, some very expensive cars were seized from the spot, suggesting that children of the very rich and powerful were involved. Early reports suggest that the arrested included the son of a SP level police officer.
Politicians have already sprung into action to get the arrested youngsters released silently without causing damage to their families.

Some aspiring directors are planning to rope this sensuous beauty in their upcoming projects. If she can add a bit of performance and timing to her on-screen presence, then there are chances for her to rule the roost.
Shruti Haasan, who rose to stardom with Gabbar Singh, is all set to romance Allu Arjun in his next film under Puri Jagan's direction. So Shruti will be the lucky one to act opposite all the existing mega family heroes.
Kajal has been waiting to do this feat as she already did films with Arjun and Charan. She is doing her second film with Charan at the moment. She needs to be signed up for Pawan's film to complete the mega feat. Actually she was the first choice lady for Gabbar Singh, but missed out on the opportunity as Harish was impressed with Shruti.
Movie : SAKUNI
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast : Karthi, Praneeta, Prakash Raj, Santhanam, Kota, Radhika, Roja and others
Directed by : Shankar Dayal
Produced by : Bellamkonda Suresh

Music : GV Prakash Kumar
Release Date : 2012-06-22
Tamil actor Karthi's latest film Saguni has been dubbed in Telugu as Sakuni and was released simultaneously with the Tamil version today. Karthi's choice of films has earned him following in Andhra Pradesh. Let's see if he got it right this time too...
What is it about?
Kamal (Karthi) is a common man who loses his only house in a new contract signed by the Government. He comes to ask for justice and realizes that the Chief Minister (Prakash Raj) himself is involved in that fraud. Kamal has no choice but to lock horns with the CM. He makes the best use of opportunities he gets and earns the respect of opposition leader. How Kamal succeeds in bringing down the CM is what follows next.
Performances:
Karthi is believable as a simpleton and his wily antics as politicians are a treat to watch. However his character has been poorly etched and hence he didn't get much scope to shoulder the movie. All in all it is a decent show from the talented actor. Santhanam plays the sidekick to Karthi and he keeps on mouthing as many one liners as he can. Surely few of those worked.
Praneetha doesn't have much role in the film. She is completely gone missing in the second half except for a song and a scene in climax which has been included for the sake of heroine. Prakash Raj is usual. There is nothing much to say about Kiran Rathod. Nazar and Kota are fine. Radhika is good. Roja is okay. Anushka played a guest role which is the best part in the first half. Andrea did a blink and miss role.
On the Technical Front:
Tamil films are technically brilliant most of the times. Sakuni too has good technical values. Cinematography is top notch and editing is neat and crisp. However, GV Prakash Kumar's music is a letdown. None of the songs are worth listening again. Background score is flat.
Director Shankar Dayal dealt a political film in a commercial way. He tried to incorporate comedy and so called entertainment. But so much time has been wasted on it and the actual story has been pushed to the second hour. His approach to this story is questionable. This film needs rather serious approach than this simplistic dealing.
Analysis:
Sakuni is mildly entertaining in parts. The take off scenes of Karthi and Santhanam conversations are good. Anushka's guest appearance is good. The mobile court scene is funny. Interval scene involving Radhika is another positive point. Second half should have been serious as the story demands a gripping screenplay.
However, the director tried to make it in lighter vein and that won't impress the logical thinking audiences. This film cannot be dealt in this way. The plot is serious and the antagonist is powerful. So the protagonist needs to think intelligent do something extraordinary. Sadly, that didn't happen and Sakuni falls flat.
The casual approach has been prolonged to an extent that audiences won't be able to guess that the film has entered the climax phase. There is no 'fight' or 'conflict' at all. It turns cakewalk for the hero throughout the film in spite of having a villain in 'power'. The promising premise has been wasted due to poor screenplay and too casual approach.
Barring few positives on the entertainment side, Sakuni doesn't impress on a whole. It may seem 'watchable' if you leave your logical brains out. This film has shades of Veede and Rangam, but it is not even near to Veede, forget about Rangam.

This is in reference to Sridevi's comeback venture. Yes, after a long hiatus, Sridevi is making her comeback and this is happening through the film 'English Vinglish'. However, it is heard that Sridevi is facing danger from two heroines. They are Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta.
Sources from Mumbai reveal that Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' is hitting the screens on September 21st, 2012. However, on the same day, Preity is coming with her comeback venture 'Ishqk In Paris' while Kareena is arriving with her much talked venture 'Heroine'. Both the films are coming in with high expectations and this has put a threat to the comeback vehicle of Sridevi. Let us see how she handles this one.
.
Well, we know that Shriya maintains a close rapport with Mega family from the day so of 'Tagore'. For every mega-party, the sex-bomb heroine remains as a centre of attraction. She shakes her leg with all the family members even at their private functions. Now that milky beauty Tamanna is on fire, Shriya is being dominated like anything, say sources. Presently the place of this aged bomb is replaced by young beauty and we know how some recent functions witnessed this.
Except a Kannada film and a hot item-number in a Bollywood movie, Shriya is very free these days. With Mega attention too weakened, some stage-dancing opportunities might miss her way.
Hour glass beauty Ileana has been facing troubles to get back the lost
glory. With the rise of latest heartthrobs like Samantha, Kajal and
Tamanna, this Pokiri girl has been sidelined. A series of flop films
jolted her big time. Ileana is hoping to bounce back with twin strikes
in Tollywood this July. She is the leading lady in Julayi and Devudu
Chesina Manushulu.
Both these films are riding on high expectations as they have capable heroes and crafty directors. All Ileana needs is some luck to get back on track. She contributed to these films with excessive skin show and the makers are using that to good effect. Devudu Chesina Manushulu and Julayi posters and promotion material is full of skimpily clad Ileana poses.
Ileana exposed her biggest asset, the midriff like never before in these films. She has also done few 'dirty deeds' like washing the car in extremely mini shorts and tried to grab the attention of viewers with tightest possible costumes. We can see the desperation of Ileana in there. Will this excessive skin show fetch her that badly needed hit or is it going to get wasted. Hope the first one comes true.

Hyderabad,
June 21: Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jayashankar had fought for
separate State till his last breath and there was no let up in his
indefatigable efforts, TRS supremo K. Chandrasekhara Rao has said.
Addressing
the people in Telangana Bhavan on the occasion of the first death
anniversary of Prof. K. Jayashankar, KCR said that Sir (Prof.
Jayashankar) never compromised in his struggle for separate Telangana
State till his last breath.
Recalling
that late Professor was heart broken when Seemandhra officials teased
him and sent him away saying that he was appointed during erstwhile
Hyderabad government and that he cannot join service in Andhra Pradesh,
KCR said this sordid incident sowed the seed for separate Telangana
agitation and Sir never took rest in his fight for Telangana State till
his last breath.
The
TRS supremo said that when the Centre called them for talks in Delhi
during the height of the agitation, Prof. Jayashankar vividly explained
to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi about the inevitable need to de-merge
Andhra Pradesh for formation of separate Telangana State. “We used to
discuss our problems in the agitation with “Sir” and sought valuable
suggestions from him. Sir used to tell us that we must achieve the goal
at any cost. Sir used to tell us to explain the people about the
agitation and the need for separate State,” KCR recalled.
KCR
said that Prof. Jayashankar used to stress the need for separate State
and the need to reconstruct the region in ruins. He also disclosed that
Prof. Jayashankar had asked him to contest to the Lok Sabha from
Mahbubnagar. Pointing out that the Seemandhra leaders were saying that
Telangana State would be created, the TRS chief wondered why the former
were scared of Telangana State. He also advised the Seemandhra leaders
to refrain from talking cheaply about Telangana.
Apart
from KCR, his son and Sircilla MLA K. Taraka Rama Rao, party politburo
members and other Telangana leaders were present at the Prof.
Jayashankar Memorial meeting. The TRS leaders offered floral tributes to
late Telangana ideologue by garlanding his statue in Telangana Bhavan.
Speaking
on the occasion, several leaders pledged to continue to work for
separate Telangana and fulfill the dream of late Jayashankar. Popular
advocate V. Prakash reminded that the TRS alone would fetch Telangana
State from the Centre in spite of any number of political parties and
organizations working for it.
On
the occasion, the Students wing of TRS conducted a blood donation camp
where several students donated blood. Telangana Bhavan was reverberated
with “Salute to Prof. Jayashankar” slogans.

will enable smooth implementation of the policies for providing an
efficient telecommunication infrastructure taking into account the
primary objective of maximising public good by empowering the people of
India, the statement said.
"The policy will further
enable taking suitable facilitatory measures to encourage existing
service providers to rapidly migrate to the new regime in a uniformly
liberalised environment with a level playing field," it said.
The
union cabinet also approved introduction of unified licence and
authorised the Department of Telecommunications to finalise the new
unified licensing regime with the approval of minister of communications

May 31: Voicing Indian businesses' concern over new US restrictions
imposed on H1-B and L1 visas, New Delhi has expressed the hope this
trend will not be sustained in keeping with the "logic and rationale" of
India-US partnership.
India
and the US should be working towards having one of the world's largest
trading relationships, India's ambassador Nirupama Rao said Wednesday,
citing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's comment that there is much
more potential to unleash in the two nations' economic partnership.
Noting
that a key aspect of India-US economic engagement is partnerships in
high technology areas, Rao voiced the increasing concern among Indian
businesses about the difficulties they face due to progressively
stringent visa regulations.
"The
Indian IT industry contributed $15 billion in taxes in the US over the
last five years," Rao told the Atlantic Council, a Washington think
tank, ahead of India-US strategic dialogue here June 13.
"Ironically,
the same industry is subject to new restrictions imposed on H1-B and L1
visas," the ambassador said. "We hope this is not a trend that will be
sustained. The logic and rationale of our partnership merits
otherwise."
"We
also hope as our investments flows further increase, it would also
become easier for Indian financial institutions to expand their
operations in the US," Rao said.
As
India and US "look at ways and means to expand our trade and
investment, we are also working together to find solutions to the
challenges of clean energy, food security, health, education" through
various initiatives, she said.
"As
we upgrade our infrastructure, provide for clean and sustainable
sources of energy to power our economic growth and modernize our
agriculture to improve the livelihood of our rural population there will
be tremendous opportunities for US businesses," Rao said.

June 21: The Indian rupee slumped to a record low of 56.57 against a
dollar Thursday due to increased demand for the American currency by oil
importers and capital outflows from the equity markets.
The partially convertible rupee was trading weak for the fourth consecutive session.
The
rupee opened weak at 56.40 against a dollar and hit a record low of
56.57 at around 1.23 p.m. at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market,
breaching its previous record low of 56.52 set on May 31.
This
is the fourth consecutive day of drop in the value of the rupee. The
value of the Indian currency has declined sharply since Fitch cut its
outlook on India's sovereign ratings to "negative" from "stable".
Fitch
has become the second credit ratings agency after Standard and Poor's
to cut its outlook threatening India's investment grade ratings.
Both these agencies assign India the lowest investment grade.
In
its mid-quarterly review of the monetary policy announced June 18, the
Reserve Bank of India also disappointed the markets by keeping interest
rates unchanged.
RBI Governor D. Subbarao said early this
week that the central bank would intervene in the currency markets only
to contain volatility of rupee.

June 21: YSR Congress leaders have alleged that there was a plan to
murder the party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who is presently in the
Chanchalguda jail.
Police arrested the newly elected members when they staged a dharna at the Mahatma Gandhi statue inside the assembly building complex on Thursday.
Charging that there was a conspiracy to murder Jagan, the YSR Congress members have released a list of telephone calls made from the three mobile phones of the CBI Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana. They have alleged that there was a conspiracy to murder Jagan using Lakshmi Narayana.
Stating that Lakshmi Narayana has spoken to one Vasireddy Chandrabala for 328 times, the MLAs said that her role appears to be suspicious. They claimed that the conspiracy against Jagan was getting slowly unravelled. They have questioned Lakshmi Narayana under hose instructions he was working. They also said they want to know the reason for the CBI Joint Director giving frequent interviews to what they called the ‘Yello Media’ (meaning Andhra Jyothy, Eenadu and TV 9).
The newly elected MLAs have also said Chandrabala has spoken to Radha Krishna, MD of Andhra Jyothi for 153 times and demanded an enquiry about her role. They have also demanded to know the reasons for frequent power cuts in Jagan’s room in the Chanchalguda jail though there was a generator.
The YSRCP leaders have also alleged that Lakshmi Narayana has spoken to TV 9 representatives 386 times, to NTV representatives 142 times and to ABN representatives 153 times. They have also claimed that Lakshmi Narayana has also spoken to the CBI judge Naga Maruti Sarma.
Alleging that the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has conspired with the ‘Yellow Media’ and CBI, party leader Gattu Ramachadra Rao has demanded a thorough enquiry into the matter with a sitting judge of the Supreme Court.

Relatives and cousins of top Bollywood actresses making it to the big
screen is nothing new. After Parineeti Chopra, it's Ankeeta Mukherji
(the cousin of Kajol), who is going to enter Bollywood. Ankeeta Mukherji
was born and brought up in America. She said her mother was American
and her uncle married Kajol's aunt and that's how they became relatives.
Currenty, Ankeeta Mukherji is doing a Bengali film. She would soon appear in Hindi films. Talking about the reactions from her family, she said her family was not against her will to appear on big screen, but she said thaey insisted her not to go for item numbers. Do you really think a film star has a choice? A rhetorical question!

Ileana has been out of action for so long. Although she has been busy
with various films, she was not seen on Telugu screen since Nenu Naa
Rakshasi. After a hiatus now the actress is coming up with two projects
at a time. Julayi and Devudu Chesina Manushulu are lined up for release
in July. Ileana played the female lead in both the films.
Besides these Telugu projects Ileana has Barfee in Hindi. She is making debut in Bollywood with this Ranbir Kapoor starrer. With too many films reaching the final stage of shoot, Ileana is too busy to find to time to promote her movies. That is the reason why she was not present at Julayi audio. She was busy with Barfee shooting on that day.
Ileana hopes that all these three films click at the box office and fetches her good hits. However, she needs to work extra time to help the movies to get good publicity from her side. Having three releases at a time and that too in different languages is a bit of overdose and Ileana may not be feeling the pain as it tastes sweet!

Hyderabad,
June 14: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was dismayed that he had no
support of any kind in the campaign for the just concluded by-elections
to the Nellore Lok Sabha seat and 18 assembly constituencies in the
state from any one in the star-studded Nandamuri family. He has expected
heroes of the clan Bala Krishna, Jr. NTR and Hari Krishna to help him
in the campaign. But none of them have shared the burden of campaign
with him. He has expected that at least Bala Krishna would campaign for
the party. Instead, Bala Krishna tried to promote his film
‘Adhinayakudu’
through the by-polls. He has included some punch dialogues on statues
being erected to leaders in an attempt to attack the late Dr.
Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s party, to draw
crowds. He has even proudly announced that he was sending his film for
poll campaign as he could not personally campaign. But both the idea and
the film have bombed at the box office.
In
sweltering heat, Chandrababu had to campaign alone for his party in the
12 districts where by-polls were held. None of the party leaders also
could share his burden as no one else has a state-level stature and
popularity (there are allegations that he himself has not allowed any
one else to grow to that stature).
After
Akhilesh Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav has created a political
tsunami in UP, Chandrababu started thinking of bringing his young and
educated son Lokesh into politics, said reports.
Chandrababu
has attempted this earlier also. Banners with big pictures of Lokesh
were erected at the party’s last conclave ‘Maha Nadu’. But Hari Krishna
has angrily walked out of that conclave protesting against importance
not being given to him and his son Jr. NTR. This attempt of Naidu to
project his son has then backfired.
As
a retaliation Jr. NTR has kicked Lokesh out of Studio N which he was
managing. Studio NTV channel was promoted to be the publicity arm of the
TDP. Initially Lokesh was made in-charge of the channel.
However
after differences sprouted between the Nara and Nandamuri families, Jr.
NTR has unceremoniously kicked out Lokesh and all those he had
appointed as his aides, as the channel was promoted by his
father-in-law. Jr. NTR sat in the channel office for some days. However,
he could not concentrate on its management because of his shooting
schedules and the result is that it became the least watched channel.
Naidu
then hastily said that the banners of Lokesh were erected by some party
workers and he had nothing to do with it. He has even warned supporters
of Lokesh of stringent action if they tried to violate party
discipline.
It
is a known fact that Lokesh was involved by Naidu in evolving party
strategies during the 2009 election. Chandrababu has said then that
Lokesh has gone on a whirlwind tour of some of the advanced countries to
study the welfare schemes there. It was also said that some of the
schemes announced by the TDP in its election manifesto of 2009 were the
brain children of Lokesh.
However,
because of the stiff resistance from the Nandamuri family, Naidu has
stopped short of introducing Lokesh as his heir apparent.
But
now as the Nandamuri family had not bothered about the party in the
by-elections, Naidu is keen to bring his son back into business say
sources. Initially he would be made in-chrge of the NTR Trust, which
undertakes charity work. In the right time, he would be introduced into
the party said sources.
Responding
to these reports, Palle Raghunatha Reddy, TDP MLA has said none of them
had any objection to Lokesh taking over. He said there was need for
young leadership and the party would only be happy to have an
intelligent youngster like Lokesh to lead it.
Hyderabad, June 20: “Behind every veil there lies a secret and behind every statement of a politician lies a conspiracy”
The
resounding and overwhelming victory of YSRCP in the just concluded
by-polls once again brought the Telangana issue into the fore with the
issue being subjected once again for exploitation from unexpected
quarters this time around.
While,
it might be normal for pro-Telangana parties to declare that the
results of by-polls once again reflected the strength of Telangana
sentiment, the statements of T G Venkatesh and Erasu Pratapa Reddy, both
hard-core anti-Telangana protagonists, in New Delhi on Tuesday that the
recent by-election results seem to be in favour of separate Telangana
has sparked off both a surprise and a new debate. Such statements came
from leaders who never spare an opportunity to take umbrage at Telangana
movement.
Is
it a change of heart from the two hard-core anti-Telangana
protagonists? Or is there some strategy behind their sudden turnaround
on Telangana issue? Or is it a sign of changing political scenario of
realignment of parties in the state?
The
two Rayalaseema politicians while presenting their assessment of
by-polls to Vayalar Ravi, AICC election observer for AP reported to have
observed that the Congress suffered electoral debacle because of its
refusal to take a stand on Telangana, at a time when most political
parties had been able to firm up their stand on Telangana. They even
went on to opine that the Congress cannot any longer afford to
dilly-dally on the issue and it must take a clear stand. And in what was
more surprising on their part that they even went to distance to say
that it was difficult to argue in favour of united Andhra Pradesh, when
most of the parties were in favour of a separate state for Telangana.
It
is to a certain extent a big turnaround from those leaders who had been
opposing Telangana tooth and nail. Though, it is very early to jump off
the gun to say that it is indeed a welcome change of attitude from the
hard core integrationists to find a solution to the long standing issue,
one cannot be termed cynical, if one looks for a calculated and well
thought out plan behind the pro-Telangana statements from hard-core
anti-Telangana protagonists of Rayalaseema for whom the word ‘Telangana”
is synonym with ‘Allergy”.
It
may be recalled here that TG Venkatesh was in the forefront to campaign
in the by-elections that a vote for YSRCP would lead to the division of
state and was responsible to make the issue of united Andhra Pradesh an
election issue. The campaign of likes of TG Venkatesh and others gave a
complete control to the derivative traders of politics like TRS and
YSRCP to dominate the political space.
And
as such, the results have given an opportunity to pro-Telangana parties
to launch a campaign that the by-poll mandate clearly indicated that
seemandhra people were not opposing the separate state for Telangana.
The acerbic statements of leaders like TG Venkatesh and Lagadapati
Rajagopal has created a tragic situation for the Congress in which it
has become a pre-paid connection that is needed a daily recharge.
Having
given an elbow-room to YSRCP in Seemandhra region, the Congress is now
left to seek means to check the popularity of the fledgling party.
Till
the other day, the Telangana issue has been serving as a blank cheque
to demonstrate its political utility to parties like BJP and TRS. It has
been political milch cow to these parties. It appears that even the
anti-Telangana leaders have sensed that the issue can be turned into a
cliché for political battle to checkmate parties like YSRCP in
Seemandhra region.
Therefore,
the statements of anti-Telangana protagonists that they cannot argue
anymore for united Andhra Pradesh are nothing but an effort to undertake
a vicious campaign to create a sense of feeling among Seemandhra region
that any decision in favour of Telangana by the Union Government is
because of YSRCP. At the same time it is to embarrass YSRCP on its
stand on Telangana, so that it can be projected as betraying the rights
of Rayalaseema people.
The
statements are tactical moves to come to terms with YSRCP in Seemandhra
region. The emergence of YSRCP in Seemandhra and strong Telangana
sentiment are no doubt two major factors that have been causing
sleepless nights to the Congress high-command.
The
arrest of Jagan and the charges of corruption hardly made any impact on
the by-polls and unlikely to change the predicament of the Congress in
future. If at all Jagan is convicted on the charges, the consequences
would give space for TDP in Jagan’s absence. Any which way, it would not
benefit the Congress in Andhra region.
This
leaves Congress to concentrate more on Telangana region. A situation
has arisen in the state when a separate Telangana cannot be delayed on
the grounds that it would hurt the party in Seemandhra. Telangana or no
Telangana, Seemandhra leaders and people are ditching the party by
appearing to be shifting their loyalties and affiliations to YSRCP.
The
drubbing in the by-polls it appears might force Congress to go any
length to revive its political fortunes at least in one part of the AP;
even it means “Division of the state”.
Congress
has been tackling Jagan’s support base in Telangana since that hasty
and inconsiderate statement on 9th Dec’2009 and once again by raking up
Telangana issue and attributing reasons for appearing to take a decision
on Telangana to the emergence of YSRCP. This could help Congress to
spread a vicious campaign against YSRCP. Any pretence of conceding
Telangana would also embarrass YSRCP, as it is obliged to state its
stand on the issue. A yes for Telangana from YSRCP would give enough
fodder leaders like TGV to launch a scathing attack and to heap all the
blame on YSRCP on hurting Rayalaseema rights. This way they can paint a
wrong side YSRCP in Rayalaseema.
This
may be a last ditch effort the Congress to save itself at least in one
part of the AP State. A vicious conspiracy is on unveil to once again
cash through the "BLANK CHEQUE" called Telangana.
Hyderabad,
June 20: Intensifying their crackdown on private bus operators across
Andhra Pradesh, the authorities Wednesday seized 83 buses plying in
violation of rules.
The
Road Transport Authority (RTA) conducted raids in Hyderabad,
Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Adilabad and other towns. The
seized buses include 43 private travel buses and 40 school buses.
The
authorities also booked cases against operators which have not paid tax
and those who were not maintaining a record of the passengers.
Taking serious view of the spurt in bus accidents, RTA officials launched a drive against the private operators three days ago.
Special teams of RTA employees checked the buses of private schools and colleges on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
RTA
officials said buses which were plying without permits, fitness
certificate and other documents and carrying passengers and luggage in
excess to permissible limits were seized.
The
Private Travels Association condemned the RTA action against the
operators, saying they were rendering service to people as state-run
Road Transport Corp (RTC) was unable to meet the demand.
The
government started the crackdown after a private bus carrying Shirdi
pilgrims from Hyderabad met with an accident Saturday in Maharashtra,
killing 30 people.
There
was utter confusion after the accident as police found that the private
operator, Sri Kaleswari Tours and Travels, had no data of the number of
passengers.
The RTA Tuesday seized 36 buses including 18 belonging to Sri Kaleswari Tours and Travels.

June 20: The Judicial Magistrate Court of Hosur in Tamil Nadu has
issued a non-bailable warrant against Congress Rajya Sabha member
Chiranjeevi.
A
case has been registered against him for using more than permitted
vehicles during the 2011 Tamilnadu elections. He was to have appeared
before the court on May 7. As he had not, the court has issued a NBW and
directed the former actor to appear before it before October 2.
Ongole,
June 20: Congress party’s defeated candidate of Ongole, former MP
Magunta Parvathamma has inadvertently admitted that she has distributed
liquor and money to the voters.
She
and her brother-in-law and MP Magunta Srinivasa Reddy have organized a
meeting here on Wednesday to dissect the poll debacle.
Speaking
emotionally, she has questioned, if she has not distributed money and
liquor like others. “Then why the debacle” a visibly upset Parvathamma
questioned the audience which included minister Manikya Vara Prasad. She
has alleged that congress leaders themselves had betrayed.
Maniky
Vara Prasad has however blamed the arrest of Jagan for the debacle of
Parvathamma (wife of late Congress leader Magunta Subbarami Reddy).
Incidentally
the Magunta family is the distributor of all Mc Dowell liquor products.
So what do they lack when it comes to distribution?
The
visuals of Parvathamma addressing the meeting were telecast by the HMTV
which questioned in the end, how the Election Commission would respond
to Parvathamma's admission
Basically she is a hit for her pep talks and nourishing voice that made
men go crazy. She is beating star female singers with the same
mesmerizing voice.

Kolkata,
June 8: A 26-year-old woman was raped inside a taxi in the city, police
said Friday, adding that the attacker has been arrested.
"The
woman, a housewife, had lodged a complaint that she was raped inside a
moving car late Thursday night. Acting on her complaint, we arrested the
accused, Mumtaz Khan, who has confessed to have committed the crime,"
Azizul Mollick, an officer of the Entally police station in central
Kolkata, told.
The incident comes nearly five months after an Anglo-Indian woman was raped inside a moving car in the city's Park Street area.
The
police officer said the housewife, a resident of Barrackpore town near
the city, visited a relative at the SSKM Hospital. Later, she boarded
the point-to-point taxi which Mumtaz Khan was driving.
Mumtaz
Khan then called his friend Habib Khan and asked him to drive the taxi
while he went to the backseat and raped the woman, said the officer.
After
the complaint was lodged, police first questioned Habib Khan. He led
them to Mumtaz Khan, who was arrested Friday morning from his house in
Park Circus.
Mumtaz Khan had also snatched a gold chain and Rs.3,000 from the woman and dropped her near Entally, said the officer.
London,
June 19: A British woman faces at least 38 years in prison on charges
of killing her two children while they slept in a hotel room in Spain
and spending the night with their lifeless bodies.
Lianne
Smith, 45, admitted suffocating her five-year-old daughter Rebecca
Smith and 11-month-old son Daniel with a plastic bag at a hotel in
Lloret de Mar in the Costa Brava coastal region in May 2010.
She
went on trial at the Provincial Court in Girona, in northeast Spain. A
jury will determine whether she is criminally responsible for the
children's deaths, The Sun reported.
Her
defence lawyer is seeking an acquittal, claiming the woman was in a
state of "psychiatric disturbance" when the incident took place
The
killings took place shortly after the woman's partner was arrested in
Barcelona by Spanish police acting on a European arrest warrant. He was
deported to Britain.
The
family had been living in Spain since 2007 after fleeing Lichfield,
Staffordshire, when the man was accused of sexually abusing a young

authorities that she had killed her children.
If you are taking large gap between film to film, then your career is

We are talking about director Gopichand Malineni, who came up with flying colours with his debut movie 'Don Seenu'. He struggled to come up with another one for a long time, before directing the remake film 'Bodyguard'. Say it wrong step or lack of opportunity, he is not getting any meaty offers after this movie.
Also it is heard that Gopichand spends his money miserly when giving it to writers and other assistants. It is for this reason he is not able to come up with decent script to satisfy heroes and producers.
While doing a remake is one worst thing, not readying a few bound scripts for his future is another mistake from Gopichand. Though people are asking what he is plucking, there is no good answer from his side.

Karthi – The Bad Boy
Oh guys, we are not scolding Karthi here. His next film which is currently under shooting process in Tamil will named as Bad Boy in Telugu when dubbed.Karthi is getting close to Telugu audience film by film. Already his yet to release Sakuni is expected to be a success at box office and audiences are having good expectations on the movie.
Major advantage for him to succeed in Telugu is that he is the brother of Surya and even more mainly is that he looks a lot like a Telugu guy than Tamil. He also chooses his stories well and of course acts well too.
This Bad Boy is named Alex Pandian in Tamil which is currently being shot in Chennai. Suraj is directing it.
When asked why they are planning to name it Bad Boy in Telugu, the director revealed that his role in the movie had grey shades to it and so they decided to go with it.
He is paired with Anushka. Milind Soman and Suman are playing important roles in the movie.
The music is being composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
The present generation youth have never witnessed the hotness of this darling aunty on Telugu screen at any time. Long back it happened with King Nag and now it is going to repeat, if reports are true.
Post pregnancy, the whole world is eagerly waiting for the return of stunning diva Aishwarya Rai on to silver screen. However, that is going to happen with a Tollywood commercial on small screen. A noted jewellery retailer of Andhra Pradesh, Kalyan Jewellers, has reportedly signed deal with Aish. She is going to become their brand ambassador along with King Nagarjuna for the next two years. Insiders are saying that first commercial will be canned after a couple of weeks, as Aish needed some more time to get a chiselled look.
Already, this flawless beauty has shed those extra kilos (baby weight) and will be back to normal in this Telugu ad. No doubt, this is good news for her Telugu fans who still feel that she is the hottest female they have ever seen on the screen.
We are talking about a latest Telugu movie that deals with the raw-crush
between genders and the after effects. The headline is enough to
explain the intensity that film is carrying.
Award winning director Sunil Kumar Reddy's latest film 'Oka Romantic Crime Katha' is dealing with a raw and inspiring story line this time, facing heat from Child Rights Activists. In a particular scene, young girls are seen stuffing 'buns' to show their assets rounded and big. All these may sound bitter but are happening very often in reality. Maybe poor people are using such 'buns', but rich brats are seen buying 'padded supports' that cost more than a thousand to give their assets a curvy look.
The whole content of 'ORCK' is to make a point that kids know everything from childhood and the only thing a parent should do is channelize their thoughts, which otherwise will become uncontrollable devilish ideas. But general public and activists are feeling the 'adult' side of this content but not the actual intention it is made up of. Looks like, this is an acid test for director.

This year stands to be on Top when compared to recent years....
wondering about what??? About the unusual yet interesting pairings we
are getting to see on silver screen and so are the heroes who are
finding interesting to work with never before worked heroines...
To start with, this year Mahesh Babu paired up with Kajal Agarrwal in ‘Businessman’, Ram Charan with Tamanna in ‘Raccha’, N.T.R with Trisha and Kartika in ‘Dammu’, and these on screen pairs entertained the audience as well… how can I forget to mention the recent sensational pair Power Star Pawan Kalyan – Sruthi Hassan in ‘Gabbar Singh’??? This pair earned the audience attention particularly in ‘Dil Se’ song in this flick…
Yet more never before seen on screen pairs are waiting to entertain us… Prabhas – Tamanna – Deeksha Seth in ‘Rebel’, Power Star – Tamanna in ‘Cameraman Ranga tho Ram Babu’, Ram Charan – Samantha in Vamsi Paidipally’s directorial, Allu Arjun – Ileana in ‘Julaayi’ and Gopi Chand – Nayanatara in their fourth coming film…
Well, let’s hope these first time pairs on screen work wonders for the success of the films as well…

Hot girls never like the star-heroes of same generation addressing them
as 'sister'. Though it is okay off the screen, calling that way
on-screen would put her career in trash. Check this story now!
Like all other hot babes of the city, this college graduate too stepped into tinsel town with hopes to become a heroine. She is Kalpika, the girl who played side kick of heroine in 'Prayanam' movie. After that she has acted in handful of movies like 'Orange', 'Sri Rama Rajyam' etc and did not got any break. Now, young heroes like Jr.NTR and Ram are addressing her as sister leaving her dumb about future.
This happened with Jr.NTR's Navratna Oil ad and Ram's Endukante Premanta movie. Once a hero calls a hottie as sister, breaking that jinx to act as heroine opposite him looks impossible in present scenario. We have to see how Kalpika overcomes this challenge to prove her mettle in the industry.

'Ladies v/s Ricky Bhel' and the recent sensation 'Ishakzaade' fame Parineeti Chopra has managed to be in news for some or the other reason... the actress who is a cousin of none other than Priyanka Chopra, turned much of the attention in her debut flick and more recently with her look and performance in ‘Ishakzaade’... on top of this, the actress giving out statements like she has no qualms in putting on a bikini, she like her sister PC and other family members being a singer would want to work on the international music album just like her badi didi and of course, her ‘dating’ rumors with Uday Chopra (ya..ya, the same guy who appears in the series of Dhoom and is popular for appearing in only those two films)...While Parineeti remains to be mum on these rumors, Uday tweeted in a social networking site, "ridiculous". "Whoa! @ParineetiChopra and I are NOT dating guys...it's kinda ridiculous! And she doesn't call me Sir, though I think she should start," said the Actor...

But, what about all those public appearances the duo has made during the birthday bash of Uday’s cousin Karan Johar???
Parineeti and Uday were seen dining at a Michelin star restaurant in Bandra and according to a close source; the two were thoroughly enjoying each other's company.
A few days later, the two were spotted sipping coffee at another five-star hotel in Juhu.
Daal mein kuch toh kaala lagrahaa hai...

Finally Some chances for Bindu Madhavi...
Now, the good time has come and she is signing a bilingual film.
Bilingual films have almost become a regular feat in Tolly and Kollywoods.
The male lead is played by Vinay Rai of Tamil film ‘Unnale Unnale’ fame. The title of the film is yet to be decided. Ramesh who is a cinematographer will turn Director with this movie. The tunes will be composed by Vijay Anthony.
The role of Bindhu Madhavi is an NRI girl. Well, we can guess it to be a role with lot of attitude.
The crew will be off to US in July for 25 days to shoot for the film.
Charan has already marked his name in bold letters in Tollywood and Kollywood with his evergreen movie Autograph, which was remade in Telugu as Naa Autograph. Needless to mention the craze of Nithya Menon. She's the hearthrob of millions of young men. So, the movie admirers will have every reason to wait for the project.
Sana Khan as Silk Smitha
Silk Smitha was a name that created waves down the south much before item girls crawled into B-Town. Starting her career as a touch up person to a B grade artiste, Smitha grabbed everyone's attention as an item girl. She was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Smitha assumed the name Silk Smitha after the name of a character Silk in her first Tamil movie. Silk Smitha apparently committed suicide in late 90s.A story on Silk Smitha named The Dirty Picture was released on birth anniversary of Silk Smitha last year. This movie was produced by Ekta Kapoor and the movie eventually became a big hit that even won a national award for Vidya Balan. But Malayalam film industry, which knows the life of Silk Smitha better, says Dirty Picture couldn't portray the real picture of her life. And now the industry is geared up to throw the light on the real life of Smitha.
Given that maximum scope will be there for exposing, the first question that would be asked is 'who would play Vidya Balan's role?' Bollywood's super hot Sana Khan is going to play Silk Smitha in the movie.
Malayalam directors K Madhum, Thampi Kannanthanam and Viji Thampi would play real life roles in the movie. The best part of the picture is that the one who introduced Silk Smitha to Malayalam film industry, Antony Eastman is the script writer.
If this is again dubbed to Hindi, people wouldn't mind to watch second Dirty Picture with Sana Khan in the lead.
