April 8: The wanted fugitive NRI criminal Nerusu Lakshminivasa Rao, a
native of Krishna district, was taken to New Delhi on April 5 by the
State CID police. The wanted NRI criminal had allegedly killed his wife,
son and daughter in Novi, Michigan USA on October 13, 2008. An arrest
warrant and a Red Corner Notice were issued by the Interpol.
On Saturday, as per the orders and PT warrant issued by the Extradition Court, New Delhi, the fugitive NRI criminal was produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala House, New Delhi. The court supplied relevant documents to the accused and he was remanded to Judicial Custody till April 18 and later he was lodged in Tihar Jail.
In the coming days, the Extradition Court will decide Extradition of the NRI accused to USA where the accused will be prosecuted for Triple Murder at the District Court, County of Oakland, State of Michigan, USA, the Additional Director General of Police, CID, Hyderabad has stated.
