Story :

‘Bus Stop’ movie is set in a colony backdrop and the story is all about current generation youngsters and their lifestyle. Lead actor in ‘Bus Stop’ movie, Srinu(Prince) is deeply in love with his tenth classmate Shailaja(Sri Divya) and his friend Kanna(Kanna) is crazy about Seema(Hasika). Srinu wants to marry Shailaja, but Shailaja’s family thinks otherwise about their relationship. Does Srinu marry Shailaja ? Will Shailaja’s parents accept their love ? All these must be watched on the big screen

Analysis :

First half of ‘Bus Stop’ movie is filled with loads of entertaining episodes with high dosage of double meaning dialogues. Director Maruthi has given equal importance to each and every character and almost all the artists were given enough time on the screen to entertain the audience. Director Maruthi has taken a lot of care especially with the screenplay part and that is the reason audience will not get bored of any scene in the first half.

After a rib tickling episodes in the first half, Maruthi changed the genre in the second half and added sentiment. Though most of the scenes in the second half are predictable, lead actress Sri Divya, Kanna and Saikumar Pampana have rendered good performances. Climax of the ‘Bus Stop movie is heavy but the message conveyed must be appreciated.

Director Maruthi has once again chosen the same genre like he did for his first film ‘Ee Rojullo’.  Maruthi has added loads of sexual humor in the dialogues and after seeing the movie, one can definitely say that the director’s target audiences are only teenagers. But going ahead, Maruthi should definitely come out of this adult comedy genre as his ‘Ee Rojullo’ and ‘Bus Stop’ have got the same type of adult comedy. Maruthi’s dialogues are additional asset for the film and they are definitely going to hit hard for the teenagers. Performances by the all the artists were good and the director succeeded in getting 100% output from each and every character. Songs picturisation is good and the fate of ‘Bus Stop’ movie purely depends upon the way makers promote the film, as there is no other Telugu film lined up for a release this week(Until Nagarjuna’s Damarukam gets a final release date).

Performances :

Prince is good looking and his performance is good. Sri Divya has given wonderful performance and so did Hasika. Hasika not only excelled as a naughty girl but entertained the audience with her dance. Kanna did a very good job and his performance in the second half can be appreciated. Sai Kumar Pampana is the major asset for the movie and his dialogues received good response from the audience. Murali Krishna (DMK) has given satisfactory performance as the father of Kanna. Rao Ramesh has given good performance and some of his dialogues will definitely hit hard to the youngsters.

Technicalities :

Screenplay and dialogues provided by Maruthi are excellent and JB has composed good music for the film. Cinematography by Prabhakar Reddy is nice and the film has been mostly shot with Canon 5D system. Production values of Lakhshmi Narasimha banner are good.

Positives :

Dialogues
Youthful story
Artists performances

Negatives :

Predictable story line

Final Word: Watch Bus Stop movie if you like adult comedy entertainers.

A lot of drama is happening around the censor board of Hyderabad because of the recent spate of controversies which emerged due to ‘CGR’ ‘DKR’ etc. Now, one more film has joined that list. It is ‘Bus Stop’. This is directed by Maruthi who is known for his shady movies like ‘Ee Rojullo’.

As expected, the censor board came down heavily on the film and ordered a straight 45 cuts. The producer of the film Bellamkonda Suresh was shocked with it and in no time he approached the Review Committee. He had reportedly expressed shock over the way the entire series of cuts have been given.

So now, it is heard that the review committee has shown some mercy and ultimately gave ‘Bus Stop’ a clearance with just five cuts. Bellamkonda might be breathing a sigh of relief but then the film was due for release on November 9th and this fell into jeopardy due to the censor issue.
But now, the news is confirmed that it is releasing on 11th Nov.

DKR controversy: Legal notices to Mohanbabu
Denikaina Ready controversy seems to be never ending with a set of Brahmin associations sending legal notices to Mohanbabu today seeking an apology from him within in 24 hours for making DKR failing which they would be banning the forth coming film Gundello Godari, which has been produced by his daughter Manchu Lakhsmi. The observers said that they found it illogical to link Denikaina Ready with Gundello Godari. While the first one was a pure entertainer, the second movie was said to be a good message oriented film, which was more or less like an art movie. What these associations would achieve by banning classic movies is the question doing round on the internet.
It may be noted that DKR was released on Dasara and received thumbs up from film critics. However, a few days after the release of the movie, a few Brahmin associations took on the movie alleging that the content of the picture had been derogatory for them. Anyway, lets wait and watch whether Mohanbabu would tender an apology or not.

Damarukam theatres attacked
With Nagarjuna's Damarukam postponing yet another time, the fans of Akkineni Nagarjuna and those who purchased the tickets to watch the movie today started attacking the theatres across the state the moment they got to know about the news. It is known that this is the third time that Damarukam movie got postponed and twice the money was reportedly refunded. Although Damarukam created much hype with its posters and trailers much before the release and looking at the current situation, critics are stating that movie might not be played well since it irked the audience to the core that they started attacking theatres.
The critics even said that even in case a confirmed date will be announced by Damarukam, none would believe it and theatres too will not take a risk of opening bookings for that movie for at least for the first day. That way Damarukam will lose good amount of money, they added. Team Damarukam should have not played with people. Anyway, Nagarjuna tendered his apologies to the public over the delay in release of the movie. Will anyone file a public interest litigation (PIL) against Damarukam film unit for playing with people has become a topic of the town.

Intelligent director Krish's latest flick 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' has an interesting thing happening on the front. While the movie is carefully shifted to a later date to avoid competition, it is also giving no scope for our seductress to seduce audiences.

Reports have that Nayantara's complete romantic scenes are said to be chopped by Censor Board for overdose of glamour. In some scenes, director tried to bring out romance by using double meaning dialogues and they are also axed. Cleavage scenes, naval displays and waist shows in songs are asked to either blur down or completely remove them. Without them, can Nayantara jump into elite bandwagon of super sexy starlets like Tamanna, Samantha and Kajal is a big question. Censor Board is said to be completely strict with this picture after looking at the recent issues of Rambabu and Denikaina Ready.

On the other hand, fights in KVJ are asked to reduce their intensity by 50%, which is another ridiculous idea given by Board. With all these conservative rules in place, can Rana-Nayan's latest offering stand commercially strong is something we have to wait and see.

Hyderabad, Nov 9: Noted film poet Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao has received threatening calls for criticizing Manchu Vishnu's Denikaina Ready.

Participating in a TV discussion on Thursday, Jonnavithula has said it was atrocious that Hinduism and Brahminism was degraded in the film.

He said it was wrong to think that humour could be created by demeaning a Brahminism and Hinduism. He said in a scene where a Brahmin performs Chandi Yaga in Nepal, his wife keeps telling every male that he was like her husband. He said that scene has shown Brahmin women in a very bad light. He has demanded that such scenes should be removed.

Soon after that discussion was telecast, some callers told Jonnavithula that they would come to his house and break his head. Jonnavithula has said that the callers had abused him in unprintable language for criticizing Mohan Babu, though he had criticized only the film and not any individual.

Responding to the complaint, noted actor Shiva Krishna has said that it was unfortunate that Jonnavithula was threatened for voicing his opinion on the film. He said there were never such incidents in the past and said such trends need to be checked.

Meanwhile, Brahmin youth leader Dronamraju Ravi Kumar has condemned the threats on Jonnavithulaand said the entire Brahmin community was with the writer. He said Brahmins who generally do not get into controversies, could turn into Parasuramas when the need be. He said, Brahmins were also "Denikaina Ready".

But Ana Cox, from the anti-breast cancer organisation 'Yo mujer' (I woman), said they refused to be linked to the campaign.Women were filmed doing every day activities, such as a playing with a pet dog, taking a shower, swimming, and even having sex. Ms Cox said the advertising agency offered to put Yo Mujer's logo on the ad but that 'after studying it we didn't accept, because it was using the woman like an object. Texas, Nov 8: The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has strongly condemned scenes and dialogues in the film 'Denikaina Ready.

GHHF said in a statement released in Texas that the portrayal of Brahmin community is demeaning, belittling, mocking and contemptuous. Further the movie ridiculed the Hindu customs and rituals, glorified the deception, elevated the dishonesty, promoted the vulgarity, encouraged fraudulency, and attacked the very fabric of Hindu morals and ethics. The film makers showed no respect for the aesthetic values, the sentiments of the community, human decency, honesty, and Hindu rituals, said the statement.

GHHF demanded the government, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the movie producers, directors and actors to withdraw the movie immediately until further re-certification. "We support the efforts of various organizations demanding the withdrawal of the movie from showing and also to file criminal case against the producer Manchu Mohan Babu and director G.Nageswara Reddy under Indian Penal Code.  We also demand the government to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident where the Brahmin priests and Brahmin community members who were demonstrating peacefully in front of Mohan Babu’s residence were beaten by sticks, live in front of police, public and TV media and bring justice by punishing the culprits who roughed up the priests", the press release said.

The GHHF explained why it was demanding withdrawal of the movie. It said following are some of the examples that are considered offensive and insulting in the Telugu movie “Denikaina Ready”:

1. Brahmin Archakas, who participated in Chandi Homa, were shown to have eaten Haleem, which contains meat of a sheep. The Director was clever enough to patch the instance at a later scene in the movie by casually mentioning that it was not Haleem, but vegetarian kheer. Was this necessary?

2.  A young Brahmin priest is often called by the Hero as Pilakaleni Pilla Pantulu or Pilakaleni Pilla Sastry (meaning a priest without his Shikha, which has a very deep spiritual meaning, obviously not known to the ignorant and arrogant producer, director and the actors of the movie), which is quite offensive and disgusting to the entire Priest community.

3. One of the young Brahmin priests who is invited to perform Chandi Homa is projected as being behind a young Muslim neighbor girl using unnecessary romantic language which is totally unrelated to the flow of the movie and depicts CHEAP comedy.

4. Actor Brahmanandam in the movie repeatedly mentions that “You Brahmins will do what ever it takes, if you are given Sambhavana” which portrays Brahmins as beggars and dependent on people’s alms.

5. One of the Brahmin priest’s wife is shown to be a very loose lady, who is always on the lookout for men visiting her home, trying to get them involved in sensual talk. This is simply demeaning for any Hindu lady leave alone a Brahmin lady.

6. In one other scene, the Brahmin priest’s wife is shown to be accepting an inter-caste marriage for her son with the girl of Naidu caste, not because of the love for her son, but mentioning “Money is everything” since the girl is from a rich family. This truly pulls down the morale of all families; let aside Brahmins projecting all is acceptable if money is thrown.

7. Worse of all, a Muslim whose name is Suleiman, who is the Hero of the movie (real life name: Manchu Vishnu) acts as a Brahmin priest, will be singing a movie song instead of Holy Mantras, totally demeaning the Homa and Yagna rituals in Hinduism.

8. In one other instance all the Brahmin Archakas who would be performing the Chandi Homa, simply stop chanting the mantras twice, because they are shown to be greedy of Rs. 2000 offered by the heroine. Any veda mantra or vedic chanting is not supposed to be stopped from the beginning to the end unless prescribed so. What was the director trying to show by projecting this cheap comedy?

The international organization has demanded that case must be filed against the Central Board of Film Certification for it’s total failure to enforce it’s own guidelines. It also said that it is astonishing to find about the laxity shown on the part of CBFC in granting Certification, ignoring it’s own guidelines and besmearing the high standards that are supposed to represent the best of the society.

Ace comedian Brahmanandam on Thursday apologized to the Brahmin community regarding the objectionable content in the recently released film Deniakaina Ready.

"I am apologizing if my role had hurt any individual or the community. In the recent past, I have deliberately cut down playing such roles," said Brahmi to Brahmin Sangham leaders who appealed him not to be part of the films which degrade their community.

In a major setback to Mohan Babu, the committee appointed by state government to review the film has declared that there are few objectionable scenes in the film. "We have seen the film and discussed thoroughly about the objectionable dialogues, scenes and song sequences in it. A report will be submitted to the government on Sunday," says a committee member.

Brahmin community heads had demanded a ban on the film for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments. Seems like, the controversy may come to an end now with few cuts based on committee's report.

Movie : LUCKY
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast : Srikanth, Meghana, Roja, Brahmanandam and others
Directed by : Hari
Produced by : Rajeshwari
Banner : Raja Rajeswari Pictures
Music : Sai Karthik
Release Date : 2012-11-01

Hero Srikanth's latest film Lucky is out in theaters now. Srikanth has been out of form since very long and was completely out of buzz prior to Mahatma. Understandably Lucky movie released with zero hype around it. Considering Srikanth's track record as a centurion hero, Lucky is a notable film as far as Telugu cinema is concerned. Check the details of Lucky.

What is it about?

Lakshmi Narasimha who is fondly known as Lucky (Srikanth) is a unhappy man who is not satisfied with his job or his family. He hates women as most of the women in his life only torture him. He gets a special power of knowing what women think and then his perspective changes.

Performances:

Srikanth simply sleep walked through the role. He is believable as a man in mid thirties despite being older. His performance in the scene where he compares women to wifi network is hilarious. Meghana has nothing much to do except for looking admiringly at Srikanth. There are few popular actors in the support cast. Roja is alright as the strict lady boss.

Brahmanandam has been wasted. AVS is fine. Tagubothu Ramesh and others didn't have sizeable roles to make an impact. Sana didn't look like Srikanth's mother and it has been confessed by Srikanth himself.

On the Technical Front:

Dialogues are not up to the mark. This film is intended to be funny most of the times. But poor writing didn't help the cause. Cinematography is strictly okay. The methods that are implemented are mostly outdated. Music is mediocre. Sai Karthik didn't compose a single impressive tune. Director Hari failed in the writing department itself. He could have made this a laugh riot. Despite having good concept on hands, he failed to translate it into a decent film.

Analysis:

Lucky is a blatant copy of 2000 Hollywood romantic comedy 'What Women Want'. The main plot has been lifted from that film and director added few commercial elements to suit our tastes. However, he has failed miserably with pretty bad writing.

Except for few scenes which are genuinely hilarious, Lucky is a badly made movie. First half is fine with few good laughs, but second half mostly runs on dramatic mode. Terrorism angle given to the film was an utter failure. Those scenes were so stupid that its impact might give an impression that watching Lucky is sheer waste of time.

Despite having fair chance to make this a good entertainer, director couldn't make use of talented star cast. Saying so, Lucky is far better than Srikanth's films like Ranga the Donga etc. Poor openings suggest that Lucky may not be so lucky on the commercial front. You may wait for the home edition if you are planning to watch it.

Verdict: Phew, Srikanth's Bad Luck still haunts!

Wife Swapping, a term that was alien to the Indian community till sometime back, is being practiced openly and brazenly today.  It's the newest of dangerous liaisons in modern relationships. Wife Swapping is basically the exchanging of wives between two couples, for engaging in the forbidden sensual pleasures. Till only a decade back, Indians had not even heard of the concept of wife swapping and those few who knew about it, considered it to be unfathomable. But, within the past few years, the concept has gone from being a taboo to being openly experienced.

Film writes who always on the hunt for new subjects found one in ‘wife swapping’. Here the protagonists swap their wives not for sexual pleasure, but for the love.

As per the ‘novel’ script, Aarya is deeply in love with a girl while Jai and Nayanthara are inseparable lovers. In a weird turn of events, Jai marries the girl who was earlier in love with Aarya and Arya marries Nayanthara. Both the couples live as ‘married couples’ for the sake of the society but there is hardly any physical intimacy between the quartets. Jai and Aarya meet up and discuss the pathetic plight of their respective lives and decide to ‘swap’ their wives leading to a happy climax.

A R Murugadoss is producing this Rom-Com movie titled ‘Raja Rani’.

Observers say that Nayan who is already facing ire of woman organisations for breaking the marriage of Prabhu Deva will sure land in trouble for acting in ‘wife-swapping’ script!!!

When there are two heroines in a flick, definitely one need to sacrifice a bit in terms of screen-time and this makes her the second fiddle. Till date, it is thought as Punjabi siren Taapsee, but even she is also sidelined now.

Puri Jagan's latest outing with stylish hero Allu Arjun, 'Iddaru Ammayilatho' is making quite a noise regarding its heroine selection. Wide eyed Amala Paul is confirmed as lead girl long back, but the question is about the second fiddle girl. Hyderabad, Nov 7: Tension prevailed in the Osmania University campus here Wednesday after students clashed with police during the funeral procession of a youth who committed suicide for a separate Telangana state.

Violence broke out in Tarnaka near the campus as students, who wanted to carry the body in a procession to Gun Park near the state assembly, clashed with the police.

As they were prevented from taking out a procession, the students threw stones at police personnel, who retaliated by firing teargas shells.

Police also resorted to baton charge near English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) and a B.Ed. college on the campus to disperse the protesting students.

Amid tight security, the police later shifted the body of V. Santosh to an ambulance and sent it to his native village in Adilabad district, around 300 km from here.

Frustrated over the delay in the formation of a separate Telangana state, Santosh committed suicide, leading to the tension.

Santosh, a degree student of a college in the city, hung himself from a tree in front of the Arts College in Osmania University, which has been witnessing violent protests for three years over the statehood issue.

The student resorted to the extreme step Tuesday night. He left behind a suicide note, blaming "ruling classes" for creating hurdles in the formation of a Telangana state.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convener M. Kodandaram visited the campus to pay tributes to Santosh and appealed to the students not to sacrifice their lives.

Osmania University students' Joint Action committee called for a shutdown of all educational institutions in Telangana.

The university postponed all examinations scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

Over 600 people, mostly youth, have committed suicide in the last three years demanding a separate Telangana state.

Washington, Nov 7: Indian Americans have welcomed the re-election of President Barack Obama saying his administration has delivered and victory is good for the community and India both.

"Obama's victory is very good for the Indian American community and India," Thomas Abraham, founder president of Global organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) told.

"The Asian American community, and in particular Indian Americans, has a high presence in his administration as political appointees and this trend will continue," he said.

"When Obama went to India, he gave a surprise by endorsing India as a permanent member of the UN Security Council," Abraham said.

"So the Democratic administration has delivered and we will see increasing cooperation in defence, science and technology, trade and fighting terrorism," he added.

Welcoming Obama's re-election, Milpitas, California, based North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) said the Punjabi community is celebrating his victory because of his several initiatives including the Dream Act for the immigrant children and Obama healthcare law.

On top of this "Obama rose above politics and felt concerned, taking appreciable steps to garner sense of safety and security amongst community members" when six Sikh worshippers were killed in a shootout at Oak Creek Gurdwara in Wisconsin in August, said association's president Satnam Singh Chahal.

New York's noted Indian-American attorney Ravi Batra said, "Barack Obama proved that the hard road is the sure road for resuscitating the American Dream."

Republican challenger "Mitt Romney forced Barack Obama to be at his best so that American exceptionalism continues to provide solace and support for all who love freedom and want a better tomorrow for their kids the world over," he said.

But perhaps she showed off more skin than she intended to. Wardrobe malfunction or not, looking Kangna was a eye feast to many at the event. What about You?

For the U.S presidential election campaign the incumbent president Obama and Challenger Romney are shooting "mouth cannon balls" to each other or in a more appropriate metaphor as if  two F-22 Raptors are engaging on a dogfight each determined to find the “Achilles heel” of the  another to fire the lethal shot just right there . On the topic of unemployment which is the real burning issue , here is what they have to say:
Mitt Romney  : "I want to make small businesses grow and thrive. I know how to make that happen. I spent my life in the private sector. I know why jobs come and why they go. And they're going now because of the policies of this administration."
"The president has tried, but his policies haven't worked. He's great as a speaker and at describing his plans and his vision. That's wonderful, except we have a record to look at and that record shows that he just hasn't been able to cut the deficit, to put in place reforms for Medicare and Social Security to preserve them, to get us the rising incomes we need."
"I care about 100 percent of the American people and I want 100 percent of the American people to have a bright prosperous future."
"We don't have to settle for gasoline at $4, we don't have to settle for unemployment at a chronically high level, we don't have to settle for 47 million people on food stamps."
"We have fewer people working today than we had when the president took office... We have not made the progress we need to make to put people back to work."
But, even though President Obama is a winner of Nobel peace prize, it doesn't mean that he can't fire back. As predicted he did well by saying as follows:
"I believe that the free enterprise system is the greatest engine of prosperity that the world's ever known, I believe in self-reliance... But I also believe that everybody should have a fair shot."
"I believe Governor Romney is a good man, loves his family, cares about his faith. But I also believe that what he said behind closed doors, that 47 percent of the country considered themselves victims, who refuse personal responsibility? ... I want to fight for them."
"Governor Romney says he's got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn't have a five-point plan, he has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules. That's been his philosophy in the private sector, that's been his philosophy as a governor and that's been his philosophy as a presidential candidate."
"(When I took office,) the economy was on the verge of collapse because we were about to go through the worst recession since the Great Depression, as a consequence of some of the same policies that Governor Romney now promotes. So it's conceivable that Governor Romney could bring down the gas prices, because with his policies we might be back in that same mess."

Hyderabad, Nov 4: “Give a politician enough rope, and he may hang his whole party by disclosing its innate contradictions and opportunism”.

By now, the screaming and shouting is over and the dust seems to have settled over the Sagara Haram (Telangana March) and so called signals said to have been received by KCR on Telangana from Congress high-command, thanks to the latest statement of Shinde, Union Home Minster that decision on Telangana has national repercussions indicating that the Congress is not in a hurry to settle the issue.

The Telangana campaign after the momentum generated by Telangana March and ongoing Padayatras by CBN and Sharmila somehow haven’t reached fever pitch to generate delirious abuse and one can, for the moment, reflect on the sad state of “Andhra Pradesh”.

The saddest part is that Andhra Pradesh on the boil not so long ago has returned to simmer. There is no danger—at least in the government’s eyes—of the wrath of the people spilling over and sweltering all in its way. Appearances can be deceptive, and to our mind this is the case at the moment.

“CBN and YS Jagan, KCR and Kodandaram, Raghavulu and Narayana, Vimalakka and Gaddar, coastal Andhra MPs and Telangana MPs” all are busy playing their own game. Not one of them seems to have a people’s perspective.

The Congress leadership has convinced itself that the CBN is in such a sorry mess that he can only shoot himself in the foot if he tries to aim the gun at the ruling party. With one squinted eye turned towards enigmatic YSRCP leadership and unpredictable TRS supremo, CBN in fact does appear more than confused.

In politics of Andhra Pradesh, there are no areas of convergence among TDP and YSRCP and TRS and neither miss an opportunity to lash out at the other on the slightest pretext. Yet, surprisingly, there are stark similarities in their approach towards state politics.

While YSRCP and TRS are providing outside support to the Congress-led state government “to check the growth of CBN as an alternative”, TDP on its part facing charges of colluding with the Congress to halt the emergence of YSRCP and consolidation of TRS. Every one of them is critical of the Congress’ vendetta politics and policy inertia on various issues and is ready to rally the public against it, but none is eager and in an hurry to target the Congress.

And, while all actors on the political stage have called for the ouster of the Congress government to have an early election for the Assembly, none is keen to oust the government just now.

It came as no surprise; therefore, that KCR has been on a “switch on- switch off” mode on a decision to relaunch the movement. True to the form of personality-oriented political outfits that his TRS has been reduced to, his party leaders authorized him to take a decision at “appropriate time” and KCR has been allowed to plan his next moves in a leisurely way in the confines of his farm house.

A similar chore is being repeated in the TDP and YSRCP where the final call will have to be made by CBN and YS Jagan respectively depending on their convenience.

Their politics may be in jarring contrast. Yet, their motivations are not much different. YS Jagan has already spoken publicly about his Chief Ministerial ambitions.

In case of KCR, it is the political grapevine’s worst kept secret. Each of them is involved in back-channel communications with the political establishment ruling in the Raisina Hills.

The allegation leveled by the TDP that the Congress high-command is dangling the sword of CBI over YS Jagan and keeping KCR under reins by reaching tacit understanding with him on the strategy to be followed pending final decision on Telangana, may be a cry of desperation. But it is not without an element of truth.

There are other similarities in the style of politics these traditional rivals in Andhra Pradesh. While CBN has forged an OBC-led combination of minorities and a sprinkling of other castes, in the case of Jagan the pyramid has Reddys at the top and the rest downward.

On the other hand, KCR, a shrewd politician endowed with an uncanny sense of timing, is mired in arrogance that he is capable of reigniting the passions of Telangana people whenever he wants. He is least cared of the average Telangana protagonist who felt let down with his theory of signals, and continues to enact his gimmicks with his narrative on his prolonged stay in Delhi and his supposed fruitful discussions with the Congress high-command.

On sidelines of above, there are many a maverick leaders and virtuoso individuals who have began to shift their loyalties particularly from the Congress and the TDP and are jumping either into YSRCP or into TRS in search of their political future.

Matters are further compounded when ‘all these so called "Aya Rams and Gaya Rams" are advised by the respective party Presidents no less, to remain within the strict confinement of Laxman Rekha. The trouble is that mythological precepts from the Ramayana can’t be blindly prescribed for the much darker times of the Mahabharata. Men of straw either in the government or in the Opposition can’t lead their compatriots away from the precipice in these dark times.

So much for politics of principles! Three Cheers for politics of opportunism!

Hyderabad, Nov 5: The police have registered a criminal case against actor-producer Manchu Mohan Babu and his son hero of the film “ Denikaina Ready” film, which ran into trouble with the Brahmin community launching a protest demanding banning of the film.

Based on directive from the Malkajgiri Court, which was moved by the Brahmins, the police registered cases under Sections 120-B, 153-A and 295-A and 298 IPC against Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, comedian Brahmanandam and film director Nageshwar Reddy and commenced investigations.

Earlier this morning, a delegation of Brahmins, who had formed a Joint Action Committee, met Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy and demanded immediate banning of the movie, which has not only hurt the religious sentiments of the community, but also belittled them with various scenes and dialogues.

It might be mentioned here that the film had been running rough weather from the very beginning. First it encountered problem from the Censor Board and after the hurdle was overcome after making necessary changes, the film ran into trouble from the day it was released.

Members of the Brahmin community taking objection to the alleged derogatory dialogues and scenes raided the residence of Mohan Babu in Jubilee Hills. In the fracas, some furniture and glass panes were damaged. The screening of the film was also met with stiff resistance at many theaters.

Even as the controversy was raging day after day, the members of the Brahmin Community even lodged a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission. In an unexpected development, Mohan Babu’s son and hero of the movie Manchu Vishnu also reached the HRC office to lodge a complaint about the attack on his house and the damage caused.

While Vishnu was exiting after submitting his petition, he was confronted by the agitating Brahmins, including some advocates.

Slogans were raised against him and shoes were hurled at his vehicle.

Thus as the controversy surrounding the movie has been escalating, the members of the affected community moved the court in  Malkajgiri following which a directive was given to the police to file a case against the producer, director, hero and comedian of the movie.

Meanwhile, the BJP has demanded arrest of Mohan Babu and others. Party leader Prabhakar Rao said though the court has directed the police to register cases and arrest the accused, the government was trying to save Mohan Babu and others. Demanding immediate ban on the film, Prabhakar has alleged that the government was helping the producers by allowing the screening of the film by appointing a committee to delay the process. He said the film producers were making money while the government was delaying ban, allowing damage to be caused to the sentiments of the Brahmin community

The top league of heroines is captured by Samantha, Tamannah, Kajal Agarwal and they are also making their moves into Bollywood. This leaves us with the second layer of heroines and two names have been figuring quite prominently in that. They are the duo of Taapsee and Anjali. However, who among the two is better, is the discussion. Taapsee started her career as a second female lead and slowly she is getting into solo lead. Recently, when she was approached for a second heroine role for a Tamil movie, Taapsee reportedly rejected it. Meanwhile, Anjali has got the potential to do solo heroine roles but she is underrating herself and is still finding comfort in doing second female lead. Actually speaking, Anjali is on top of Taapsee because she has the right native sex appeal, the immense acting potential and above all, a pleasing attitude which goes well for the cine circuit.

The youth wing of the Samajwadi Party's Maharashtra unit Saturday protested against filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma, who is shooting a movie based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

Nearly 200 Samajwadi Youth Party (SYP) activists led by their president Abu Farhan Azmi shouted slogans and waved black flags near Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Hotel which was the main centre of 2008 Mumbai terror attack.

"When we asked the local police how the movie was being shot on actual locales on Mumbai streets in the wee hours today (Saturday), we were informed that no permissions have been given to Verma to shoot anywhere," Azmi told.

Accusing Ram Gopal Verma of going back on his four-year old promise of not making a movie on the terror attacks, Azmi said that now former chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh is no more, the director has decided to make money out the sorrows of hundreds of victims and martyrs of the terror attacks.

"We have demanded that (Ram Gopal) Verma must not shoot anywhere on actual locales of the terror attacks and mock the Mumbaikars, he can shoot in studios if he is so keen on the movie," Azmi added.

The SYP has also demanded that since he has failed to keep his word to the late Deshmukh about "never making a movie" on the terror attacks, he must make a commitment to donate all the profits of the movie to the victims and survivors of the terror incident.

"We also want that he may make and release his movie only after the sole surviving terrorist, Ajmal Kasab is hanged. Nobody should be allowed to glorify a terrorist or terror acts by immortalising them on film," Azmi said, threatening to intensify the party's agitation.

Incidentally, Ram Gopal Verma had shot to the headlines when he visited the terror-ravaged Taj hotel a couple of days after the attacks. But, at that time, he scotched all speculation and said he would never make a movie on the terror attacks theme.
