Hyderabad,
June 5: Osmania University Students’ Joint Action Committee today burnt
YSR Congress Party honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma effigy in front of
the Arts College on the OU campus here. The OU students raised slogans
against Vijayamma and her son YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan
Mohan Reddy.
Speaking
on the occasion, the OU JAC leaders warned Vijayamma of dire
consequences she dared to visit Parakala for electioneering. Recalling
the statement of late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy during his
electioneering in 2009 that the people of Seemandhra region would have
to procure a visa to visit Telangana region after formation of separate
State, they asked how she could visit Parakala with his portrait for
electioneering.
They
alleged that YSRCP candidate Konda Surekha did not resign her post for
the cause of separate Telangana, but had done so for the sake of YSR
Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
